I love the lifting platforms where the squat racks are, and I think they utilize the space well eventhough it does get cramped in some places. Parking can be challenging in this neighborhood and I do wish they had some sort of hip thrust machine - they may have added that since I moved out of the area (I'm not 100% sure). I will say the owners are so receptive to feedback, and I can literally see that they invest the money they make back into their business. They expanded to the upstairs to provide more space to warm up, lift, and stretch. They provided more weights, machines, bands, and mats. Also, I mentioned they should have hairbands for women in case they forget them, and literally the next time I showed up they had them. They also do offer a free day trial (not super common in SF), and the owners are very kind and insanely accommodating. I'm happy it's not just a personal training gym like other places in the city and I feel like they fr wanna give back to the community as the owner did advocate to get a stop sign in a high traffic area. The owners and operators are super friendly and accommodating, it fr gives family business vibes. I love supporting black owned and family operated businesses. Overall, worth checking out and supporting if you live nearby.

Francisco has been wonderful. He is a very knowledgable trainer, who is also very thoughtful about the way he approaches each session. I have consistently become stronger with every week and am starting to see physical results that I'm confident will maintain. I'll be back to give another in 6 months once I have more progress!

What we didn't realize was how much he would change our personal fitness life for the better. Francisco is not only knowledgeable and experienced as a trainer, but he is also a fun and engaging individual. He emphasizes challenging yourself, but taught us to recognize our limitations to avoid injuries. He reminded us that there are plenty other ways to target a muscle group rather than focusing on one specific exercise. We genuinely looked forward to our sessions with him. I now feel confident at the gym, thanks to Francisco. Whether you're a newbie to the fitness world or an experienced gym-goer, I would highly recommend Francisco.

Jess is very thoughtful in designing my workouts, done over video call using the equipment I already had. She focused on my goals - which was gaining overall strength (I was starting to feel muscle strain/pain carrying my son around) and getting back into running. She constantly checked in on how I felt and made sure the movements were just the right amount of challenging. She also mixed in flexibility stretches between sets, which I really enjoyed! In between our sessions, I could also refer to workouts she added to a PT app. Her style is encouraging and light hearted, while being incredibly knowledgeable about the body and adjustments and good form! And of course, since we were meeting virtually, my cat and her dog made frequent (and sometimes comical) appearances :D I highly recommend Jess as a personal trainer!

Its all their fault because they fail repeatedly to deal with basic requests like updating a card on file, and repeatedly screw up on the computer system. The owner insists on not having staff and putting his personal number but he never is available and becomes irate if you "bother" him Gym is small and ill equipped. Very hot and smells bad. Never any staff there in case of problems like beings locked out. Cant get ahold of owner during normal business hours and constantly acts like he is being bothered if you report broken equipment or anything Fitness SF is better anyway. I was going to keep both but the owner of this gym doesn't reciprocate loyalty Go here if you wanna get locked out randomly and repeatedly and belittled for making perfectly reasonable complaints. Im sure he will reply here claiming i am the problem but fyi all i did was say "im sick of this" and i think anyone would be after repeatedly getting locked out despite paying $125 a month. i see people having issues with getting locked out basically every day. The owner is aware but choses to not staff his gym or switch software systems The floor uses foam tiles so when you try to wheel the benches around they become dislodged and jam and create hazards. The owner makes rash decisions like putting 100lb dumbbells on a rack not suitable for such heavy weights so they fall on your feet, he is too stubborn and gets overly defensive if you try to point out any issue, and tries to deflect (its always the members or the staffs fault, never takes responsibility or ownership)

I tried out the Newbie unlimited pass, and was going about 3-4 times a week. What I love about this studio is that they seem to have instructors that are more invested with each of its clients. For instance, the instructors call out participants by name saying how great they are doing in a move. I also like how some instructors incorporate arm weights into the class, which look tiny, but are quite strenuous. My favorite instructors are Corri, Ina, Ariel, and Mara. After being here for a few months, I'd say 90% of the instructors are good, and you will get a good workout in. Some things I don't like about the studio are the booking options for the classes. By first glance, it looks impossible to book a class, as the options are almost always "waitlist only." I am pulled off the waitlist about 80% of the time, but not always. I always feel like in general, it's annoying to be put on a waitlist, instead of being confirmed right away. In addition, if I could change the membership options, what I would change is the options for classes per month. It skips from 8 classes/month to 12 classes/month, which is a big jump. Wish there was an option in between to choose from. Another bummer is the mirrors in the class. 80% of the reformer machines have mirrors on all sides, but there are a few spots that don't have many options, so it's hard to see yourself in the mirror to correct yourself. The parking is really easy in this area, which is amazing. Even in broad daylight, the residential parking a block down and over are free for 2-4 hours! Love that! In general, I really love this studio and would recommend if you want to try Reformer pilates.

I did 2 morning classes which worked out perfectly for my schedule and the parking outside (street cleaning so be aware of the days, also no meter paying until 9AM). The studio is very well setup, spacious and clean with good ventilation/ac. Reformers are staggered with lots of mirror around and motivational words up top (love that!). I appreciate the little baskets each reformer has for our personal items, such as smart way to keep out things in one place, next to us! Very high 4 stars rating, only things that brings it down is its soo pricey for a membership or per session... but that's a Pilates reformer class anywhere you go. Nevertheless, definitely worth the try and I just may be back every once in a while!
