Altmann Roofing used to have someone by the name Michael C working for them. He comes across as a very smooth talker and trustworthy. We thought we were dealing with the actual company come to find out we were not. Well not only did my husband and I get scammed but so did this amazing father/son company. Alex and his receptionist Becky have been behind the scenes trying to fix Michael's back handed mistakes. I appreciate this more than anything. This is a small business company and IF you are looking for a new roof or a any type of repairs I would honestly recommend this company to anyone. Alex DID come out to our house climb on our roof and inspect it to ensure we would be safe throughout the next storm coming our way. Yes, it is his companies name and when they found out they had issues they did come out to try and address the issue. I just wish there were more better kind hearted people in this world. 1 STAR IS TOO HIGH FOR THIS COMPANY! I had signed a contract for siding on my house on 4/12/25. I gave Rusty, the owner, a total of $5,800.00 down, a little over half of the contract. A few weeks later, he called to verify the colors with me. It wasn't until June 21st when he called and said the siding was in. He said the siding was in but was waiting for the soffit and fascia. Said it was about 1-1 1/2 weeks out for that. July 6th, he said still not in, out of his control. Next day, the 7th, oh... now it is in Delivered, supposedly, everything on 7/12, didn't start until 7/18. They slapped up some siding on front of house and garage along with some of the soffit and fascia. NOT THE COLOR I HAD ORDERED!!!!! I was told by Rusty's son, the supplier called and told him they could not get the color I signed for so Rusty told them to get something close. He tried to substitute without even discussing it with me first, thought they could get away with it. NOT EVEN IN THE SAME COLOR SCEME!!!!! They were nothing but amateurs working on my house. One guy had to get his helper out of a halfway house in Arkansas, then there were health issues of installer, then both he and his partner were picked up for outstanding warrants. The craftmanship was horrific. They had to take large sections down due to installing it wrong and sloppy, they did not use the proper material to start the siding or to finish it. I had to supply the starter strips, and they decided to to try and glue the top strip of siding on to the wall with caulk! I was told it was a preference on material used to install not actually required for installation. NOT MYPREFERENCE!!!!!! I ended up firing them for breach of contract after the installation crew packed up all of their tools and told me to call them directly when the Altman's decided t get all of the proper material needed to do the job because they were not making any money on this one. DUE TO MISTAKES AND TOO MANY TRIPS BACK AND FORTH. I decided to finish the job myself and have over 100 pictures of the sloppy unprofessional workmanship that they did on my house. At 1 point, Rusty told me if I wanted the mistakes and slop fixed properly, I would have to pay extra for labor and more material. I can't believe I let them stay on the job for 6 weeks on a job that should have taken no more than 1 and 1 1/2 weeks according to his installers doing the work. they never showed up before 10:30 am and would leave by 2 pm because of the heat. They were told they could get started by 6:30am and work until it was too hot. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY FOR ANY TYPE OF PROJECT WHATSOEVER!!!!!!!!! I was threatened by Rusty if I did not let them finish the job, he would file a mechanics lien against me and sue me for breach of contract. Like I said, I decided to finish the job myself and went out and got the rest of the material on my own that they refused to supply. Rusty did ask if he could bring the rest of the material over, I said yes, He could put it in my driveway and take a picture to prove he delivered it. That never happened! read more

From the very beginning, Michael was super helpful, friendly and professional. Everything went super smooth from the beginning to the end. Michael kept us informed about what was happening. The crew was friendly and we couldn't be happier. They were super clean and Michael and Andrea even came back by after the crew left and did a double check to make sure all the nails were picked up. Just an added touch that we appreciated and you don't always see today. We would highly recommend them!! read more

Altmann did my roof and siding on my house and I would never rehire them. After replacing the roof, we discovered a leak in the basement. We didn't immediately think it was a roofing issue, but after having someone look at it we discovered that a diverter flashing was not reinstalled after they removed and replaced the shingles. We asked Altmann to repair the missing flashing, and after weeks of being told Rusty wasn't in or they couldn't find our file, we were eventually told they wouldn't do it. I had to hire another contractor to fix their mistakes, and after a 15 minute repair, we had no more water in the basement. Rusty refused to reimburse us for the expense. Never use this firm to do any remodeling on your house. Edited to add: One day after posting this review, I received a voicemail from Rusty asking me to call him back, and he added that he would be contacting his attorney. Here's the thing, when I spoke to him several months ago about the missing flashing on one of the phone calls he told me to eff off and hung up on me. Another productive phone call resulted in him screaming at me that he records all his calls. I wonder what his attorney thinks about that, not to mention the first amendment. I called him back tonight, and he accused me of still owing him money (I have a paid in full receipt and lien waiver, so I owe him nothing), called me a mother ****er and concluded with "Post whatever you want, b****). Very Disappointed. 2 years after install I have leaks that will require plywood replacement. I knew something was a miss when the tear off and re-shingle was completed in 2.5 hrs- Never again, I now have to look for a contractor that will repair/replace. read more

Not good, without getting into too much detail, we had a terrible experience with this company. They did our roof and it was a terrible experience. We ended up having to hire another roofing company to fix our terribly leaking roof. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but I hate for someone else to experience what we did. read more

My new roof looks great and it really improves the appearance of the house. I got several quotes, and Altmann Roofing's quote was very competitive for an excellent quality roof. David was very helpful with his knowledge of how to handle details that I wanted to take care of when the roof was replaced. I also appreciate his advice in helping select the color. read more

I've been working with Altmann roofing for the last 7 months on both our primary residence as well as a rental unit we own. In both cases, our resource from Altmann, Brad, has been incredibly professional, very friendly, prompt and proactive in his communication. From the first day we met him, Brad has been very straightforward and clear about how things would go, what our out of pocket costs would be (both were insurance claims) and just excellent at letting us know what our options were. Brad handled nearly all of the interactions with the insurance company and the adjusters, limiting most any involvement on our part. Both roofs went in fast (1-2 days) and they did a great job cleaning up after. When things went less than smoothly, Brad jumped in and fixed the problem. Like someone else reported, we had a leak after the roof was done, undoubtedly not an uncommon occurrence with this type of work (my father in law has 7 rentals, says this happens all the time). Brad had the roofer back on site in less than a week and they addressed the problem. In addition, we are in the process now of replacing the damaged tiles in my basement ceiling as a result of the leak. In my opinion, a professional inspires confidence both when things are going well and especially when they aren't. Altmann roofing and Brad specifically, nailed it. Couldn't be happier. read more

Not only do they have some of the best prices on their roofing and construction jobs they carry out but for father and son running such a successful business with terrific end results this company has wonderful communication skills with their customers and stays on top of the insurance companies about seeing their approval through and preventing your repairs from being set back and causing further damage in result making the job even more costly. Altmann Roofing was amazing unlike the other companies there salesman came out the same day I called. It had been about a month after the adjuster's inspection which only found damage to one slope of my roof and some gutters. The salesman from Altmann found considerable hail damage on my entire roof, gutters and some fascia. He was straightforward and polite going right to the point about the steps I needed to take to get my insurance adjuster back out.
