My friend was arrested at 11:30 pm and I didn't get a call from her until around 4:30 AM morning from the jail. The jail gave her very little info but she did see all kinds of cards for bail bondsman on the wall. I said, hold on, let me go to Yelp and see what I can find - call me back in an hour. I went to Yelp, saw nothing but 5 star reviews for Steve - but lower reviews for others - and decided I wanted to go with a 5 star bondsman. I called Steve at 4:30 ish am and to my surprise, he answered! He explained the process to me. Including that I could go give the court the $20,000 cash bond and get it back once everything has been taken care of. The other option is to pay that 10% fee ($2,000 in my case) and let the bond company take the risk, and help me during the process, and not get my $2,000 back. Steve was articulate about the process. I signed the document and sent him the $2,000 within minutes of talking with him. Even though Steve was ready to go at that moment to take the bond to get my friend out, there were computer systems that were down, and, we would find out later, she got transferred as well, compounding the entire process. We thought she would be out sometime in the morning. So, here's where Steve came in: He kept me in the loop throughout the entire day and into the night via text and phone. He gave me helpful advice as well, and - through no fault of his - was finally able to make give bond THE NEXT MORNING - 36 hours after arrest. There's NO WAY I could have done what he did! Steve was an amazing advocate and helped me every step of the way and absolutely was on his game - at all hours. Like Michael said in his June 12th review - don't waste time looking around - go with Steve because you'll get amazing service. I actually liked that Michael said that because it is one reason I went with Steve. I'll say the same to you: Steve is a pro, knowledgable, helpful, in your corner, responsive, and absolutely worth working with. Credit where credit's due - literally found Alvarado as one of the top results on Yelp and based on the recent feedback with their services, I decided to give them a phone to call see what may be our next steps or options. Steve was straightforward and even offered to contact the respective PD to check on my options, and within an hour we were able to resolve the situation at hand. He met with me at the exact time and location as agreed upon through the phone, we worked through the paperwork in-person and spoke with the PD, and after everything was complete he was even diligent on forwarding scanned/pictures of the signed paperwork and a screenshot of receipt.
