Why can't I give her 6 stars? My story of working with Alyson started back in 2019. I was pregnant... and REALLY excited about getting some maternity photos done like I did with my son when I was pregnant with him. I came across Alyson upon doing some searches when we moved to the area... she was the actual best. Photos were stunning, and then we had a conversation, and I just loved her. Her commitment to her clients and creating the best experience was sooo obvious. The only reason I didn't say yes then was a financial one... we ended up getting married and all our extra funds went to our small wedding. It was the ONLY regret I had from my pregnancy. I really just wanted to work with her. Fast forward 4 years...Turns out Alyson also does branding photography!! Holy smokes! I had an hour long session with her, just a mini for this go around while her and I co-create my larger full branding shoot. There are several things I really loved about Alyson's work. 1. Her warm approach has you immediately feel comfortable being yourself. No judgement. Just love and warmth. She is funny but not in a cheesy way... she just brings out that smile and happens to capture the beautiful moment RIGHT when it radiates the most. 2. She knows exactly how to have me be (positioned) where it looks natural. I have experienced a few other branding shoots that did not do this. Like I was positioned in a nice pose, but it wasn't me. 3. Alyson makes it sooo easy to imagine my whole family having photos taken by her. Its my dream and its happening next year! 4. You can really see that her heart is in her art. These photos are absolute art pieces that your family will treasure forever or that will have your business standout from the rest. I started to look for photographer when my little girl was three weeks old. I spoke to a few photographers around the area and none of them were as good as Alyson. The newborn whisperer. We took our daughter for her newborn session a little late, and I was so worried she wasn't going to be sleepy scrunched up like I had imagined. Alyson managed to do several changes in wraps, head pieces, and backdrops/props without waking her. But it didn't end there. I'm one of those picky people that has this specific image in my head of what I want but stink at communicating it to someone. Alyson just knew what I wanted and delivered. I've been to her two times since the newborn shoot. Once for a family session and once for a milestone session. All are priceless. She captures lighting perfectly, does flawless editing, has a good eye for color, texture, etc, and is so sweet and positive. Love her and plan to keep going back! read more

We selected Alyson to photograph our 19 month old and our family, and we could not be happier about the results. Our daughter can be tough to photograph, she loves to bounce around and won't stay still, and when she sees a camera she just wants to grab it instead of sitting and smiling. It's rare that I can confidently recommend a vendor or company to friends and family, but Alyson Berg is one of those instances. We originally heard of Alyson from a friend, and looking at her website, we knew right away her style was what we wanted. From starting with our first conversation over the phone to day of photography she had so much energy, excitement and professionalism it was hard for it to not be infectious! Alyson brought all of her props over to the house and set everything up quickly and efficiently, it was no inconvenience to us at all. All this aside, Alyson is a BABY WHISPERER. She was great with our newborn, and sooo patient in capturing the perfect shot! It truly was amazing watching her work. I can't believe I haven't left a review yet, because Alyson honestly feels like a family member! When I had my first baby I had set up a newborn shoot with a family friend that got very sick and had to cancel last minute. As my son was already almost 4 weeks old, I was in panic mode and started emailing a bunch of photographers. Alyson called me almost instantly and was so understanding and accommodating and fit us in like two days later. She is seriously the baby whisperer! After loving our newborn shoot so much, we also did 6 month photos which were so amazing and special as she was able to capture more of my sons personality. So when he was almost 1, of course I had to go back and she still had the unbelievable ability to capture him looking and smiling! And she's so patient when he was just not having anymore. I'm not really the type to get professional photos all the time, but when they're as good and easy and professional and affordable as Alyson I can't justify not doing it. My son loves Alyson and so do I and will always continue to come back to her for this and future kids! read more
