They combined those two rejections into a "bill" and proceeded to "send me bills" for two years. I never received a bill, and haven't used that dentist in two years. They then proceeded to send my "bill" to collections. I have followed up with the office and they are attempting to fix this wrong, however I could never again trust an office with what can only be described as egregious record keeping and billing and I wouldn't recommend anyone else trust them either.

Their office worked quickly to get me scheduled, which I really appreciated given how uncomfortable that situation can be. Dr. Sheppard also took the time to carefully discuss my medical situation--I have a heart condition and am on blood thinners--and made sure to take the appropriate precautions before moving forward. That level of attention and clinical judgment matters. The office staff was personable and helpful throughout the entire visit, which makes a big difference. And something you don't see often anymore--the doctor personally called me that evening to check in, make sure everything was okay, and ask if I needed anything. I was scheduled for a cleaning and was quoted $78 by the pregnant lady Mia (?). I was told on the phone when I was checking prices a cleaning was $73. When making the appointment the price was $78. I agreed to that and scheduled a cleaning for Wednesday July 27, 2022. I was called to come in 45 minutes early from Childress. I checked in waited about 10 minutes and Toni the dental hygienist called me back. I sat in chair/she took my blood pressure and I said I had not had a cleaning since they were $50. Toni then said this one would be $85. I told her I was quoted $78 when I made the appointment last month by the pregnant lady. She said price had went up. I said if you do it for $78 I will. She said no. I got up and told desk lady what I had been quoted last month. Neither Toni nor the dentist would lower the price. I drove 30 miles and came in as requested 45 minutes early. Dr Baucom would have been ok with price I was quoted. Now Toni got to sit on her butt and wait for 45 minutes til next patient came in over $7 misquote. I had an appointment to finish up some dental work the next week on Thursday August 4, 2022 @ 930 a.m. which would have been over $1000. I canceled that appointment and will no longer recommend this dentist office. With no dental insurance price was my concern when I was calling around. I stand on principle when I am quoted a service price. I do that on any service I am getting. I walked over $7 and having to drive 60 miles round trip.

After an awful visit in 2018, I've been…read moreadamant about doing research, asking for suggestions, etc. Dr. Cameron was recommended to me; however, her office in Carnegie was way too far to drive. I was happy to learn she opened an office in Weatherford. The interior of the office is well-maintained and decorated. It doesn't have that cold, clinical feel as you see in many dentist offices. I figured out they are huge on comfort. I did my x-rays, which the tech was great at communicating every step of the way. During the evaluation and cleaning, I sat in a heated, massaging dentist chair. I mean, who doesn't love a massage during a teeth cleaning? The tech asked a ton of questions: how I felt about my smile, problem areas, likes/dislikes, etc. She complimented me several times on my oral care, which I was happy for considering I hadn't received a professional cleaning since 2018. Dr. Cameron was super nice and personable. She made great suggestions about continued care and did a very thorough evaluation of my jaw, teeth, and overall oral situation. We have a few potential treatment plans, and she and Ashley were very great at detailing costs and procedures. Honestly, I could've talked to Ashley all day. Kindred I think, haha. Bonus: not only did I get the normal dental goodie bag, but I also received a bag of swag! I'm always a fan of goodies! I'm extremely happy to find a dental clinic that, start to finish, was fantastic. Reminds me of my Washington state dentist, which I was desperate to find!
