Without being too dramatic, I have to say absolutely loved staying here. Friendly and attentive…read morestaff, very clean rooms, and modern decor make this place a great all around choice for lodging in München. We stayed here for a total of 5 nights on a recent vacation in Germany, France, and Switzerland. We spent most of our time exploring München but also visited other towns of Bayern. Check-in was easy and the staff spoke English which was very helpful (although I always like to attempt a little bit of German). We checked into a room with a terrace which was a nice touch. The weather was unseasonably warm and pleasant so having the terrace was a nice bonus. The rooms are small as expected in most European cities but still plenty of room. There was also a nice kitchenette. The bathroom was very clean and well-stocked and the bed extremely comfy. We ate a meal or two in the hotel when we were feeling a tad exhausted. The cafe was actually pretty good and the staff was really kind. We had trouble one day booking tickets on a German only website for the bus and the front desk staff was so helpful and helped through the whole checkout process on my iPad. Among all the great things about the property, the only one slight negative would the long distance from the city center. But, there's still great access to the transit lines with access to both trams and the SBahn within a few city blocks. You can easily be in the city center in 15 minutes. If you plan to use the kitchenette in your room, there's a grocery market just down the block which is very handy. In the end, I am so glad we chose to stay at the Bold Hotel. It made our stay in München that much more enjoyable and easy. München is one of my favorite cities to visit so I'm sure we'll be back which will make the Bold Hotel a likely choice again!is business if you received a freebie for writing this review, or if you're connected in any way to the owner or employees.

It was very basic. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner and shower sponge or washcloth. There are…read moreno washcloths. Shampoo and soap are all-in-one in a single bottle in the shower, which is not preferred for us women. Breakfast was nice but be sure you ask if it's included in your room rate, don't assume it is. There are grocery stores in close proximity if you want to get snacks for your room. Just ask for the comfort room so you can have a fridge to store your chilled items. Staff was nice and tried hard. They speak great English. Ubahn-SBahn Station about a 10 minute walk.

We booked our stay months in advance. For my hotel reviews, I like dividing my thoughts into two,…read morethe pros and the cons. The pros: the rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. It is similar to the Residence Inns in the US where there is a kitchen area. There is a grocery store in the ground floor of the building. The only thing is it is closed on Sundays. The breakfast selection is decent and was included in the price we paid. The train station is within walking distance so that is certainly convenient. Staff is multilingual and we found them to all be accommodating. The cons: if you plan on walking to the city center, you may find it to be far. If you arrive kind of late for check-in, you may find it tedious to go up the stairs since you won't have a key card yet. I suggest having someone watch your luggages while you check in, if possible. I recommend getting the single day pass (€9.70) or if you're staying for more than 3 days, it might be more economical to consider the week pass (€22.40). The pass is activated if you purchase it online through the MVGo app. It works for the bus, tram and trains and it's pretty easy to figure out from the app.
