I got introduced to this recycling center from one of my friends who always goes here. I suggest parking outside of the gate as it's a little hard to back out of inside the gate as there is stuff everywhere. You can bring as many bags of cans, glass, plastic as you like as long as you fill them up in the trash cans with wheels. Just make sure everything is separated. You can also bring copper, metal and whatever else is recyclable to get some cash. I usually bring 3-5 bags of plastic bottles each time I come here. It depends on the weight of how much you bring in and they pay you in cash on the spot. The guys that work here are always friendly and respectful. It's one of the better recycle centers in town, and it's best to go in the middle of the day when it's less crowded. read more

I love coming here. They guys are always friendly, upbeat and outgoing. When you get there, walk towards the containers and all the empty bins and grab as many bins as you need. Then you'll fill them with your plastic, cans or glass and wait near the umbrellas. They will weigh the items, have you sign a receipt and then your off with your cash! read more

Price per pound for metal was....$.01 When initially unloading the metal I asked what the price was. I was told $1.50, but considering the difference in cost that was probably the worker misunderstanding what I was asking. Even if it was 10x the amount, I would have only gotten $15 more. I had to wait some time as the staff seemed to be half sleeping... they were nice. There was a man heading out & he said "that guy will talk your ear off...." he was referring to the cashier. I had only one woman with one bag of bottles before me. By the time it was my turn, one of the guys took my two bags and weighed them. I know I had a lot of aluminum in each. One of the bags probably only had a couple of small scrap metals. Of course the dude selected aluminum for only one of the bags and weighed the other for misc metal. It took about 30+ minutes of my life that I'll never get back for $4. The guy also told me that if some of my aluminum pieces didn't have caulk on the edges, that it would have been worth more. Employee was drunk and incredibly unhelpful. We simply wanted to get our cans and bottles recycled and the employee there was incredibly unhelpful, not weighing our products and instead horsing around, clearly drunk. After about 20 minutes, another employee, who was far more helpful, helped us to the best of his ability, but the main employee refused to help, instead choosing to act like a child. I am deeply impressed about this recycling business, the only one I know of in Santa Clarita that is honest and reputable. I used to use a recycling business on Serria H/W until they were shut down by the City. Then one down in the valley until I found them. THEY TAKE ALL METALS and CRV. Today I took in 9 different types recycling, Cooper, brass, aluminum, steal and of course CRV. They separated each item to give me the best price for each. This recycle place was located in the right side parking lot of the Saugus Cafe. The landlord had them move down below, next to Guzman's tires. Parking is limited... maybe three to five cars max at a time. They take steel, aluminum, plastic bottles, soda cans, brass, etc. it's run by a father and daughter, with at least one other helper that I could see. We took our crushed soda pop cans and plastic water bottles down every couple of months and we would collect $25 to $35 every time. Our last trip was to clean out the garage and side yard of old stuff, so we took down 200 pounds worth of steel... which only amounted to $6.00 and two broken brass sprinkler valves which amounted to another $5.00.... so, we didn't make much money, but cleaned up our house. read more

This is my favorite place in the valley, hands down. I am not here for the best prices but for the outstanding customer service. Every time I arrive, I'm greeted with a smile, and they come to me to help me take the bags out of my car. They act like I am doing them a favor when I sort the recycling into trash cans alongside them. They are always friendly and aren't afraid of engaging in small talk, unlike the frowny-faced control freaks at other recycling centers. I believe Replanet paying the best price is wrong since when I checked it had no merit. A & M Recycle is a family owned business and seems to pay the best price I was able to shop for. I think I've had it up to here with this place. I always bring large items with dozens of pounds of copper and aluminum. Last time I came they made excuses on why they couldent pay me nearly what other recycling places do for the same equipment. Decided to come again and they gave me a quote and got ready to finally pay me a fair price and an old man comes by and asks to reduce the price I'm getting paid by half. I told them to just take it since I dident want to haul this stuff off to another place. I won't be coming here again. My old recycling location shut down. Happened upon this location through my searches and pleasantly surprised it was closer. Like most recycling places, entrance is rather obscured from the main street so I did drive past it at first. There isn't a whole lot of parking but I lucked out being the first to have arrived for that hour. Sales person was really nice. First of all the recycling industry is well known for readily accepting what is obviously stolen. No questions asked. The bad part is this place is not shy of ripping off customers, most of which are down on their luck. I went in with eight clean aluminum truck rims. The combined weight was on the order of 100 pounds. The employee was very sneaky in both hiding the weight by overriding the numbers on their scale computer as well as used $0.50 per pound rather than the advertised $2.00 per pound. In addition, as soon as the items were weighed, they were thrown in a large bin that made returning the items back to me a -- get them yourself. Find somewhere else even if you need to drive further... Aluminum molecules are the same regardless of crv. What chemistry class did you take? Mass is mass. Google that read more

Thought this place was great. A nice young man was very helpful & their prices weren't bad. We were happy with our first visit, after comparing recycling amounts given we realized that REPlanet paid more for glass & plastic, not much but still more plus REPlanet will match anybody else's price. When we came back a couple of hours later to recycle another load a woman approached us and said that they need to be able to see the CRV code to be able to take the cans. Even though it was the obvious same can as others we brought, she said " we'll we have our rules " and also they wouldn't match REPlanets prices. We left to take our recycling to REPlanet. I wonder where this A & M finds the CRV codes that she said ( everything must have) on the bikes, microwave ovens refrigerators and other metal that they pay cash for. Hmmmm.... read more

I went to a&m recycling this morning, they used a plastic container that had a tag that said 3.6 lbs. I gave them 21 lbs of aluminum cans and he docked off 6.5 lbs. He did this because he claimed that the cans were "wet". It hasnt rained in a while so I assume he meant that they were (the cans) had too much liquid? Basically he took 2.5 lbs off the total can weight because he "assumed" that that was the weight of the assumed liquids in the cans without even checking any of the cans. I told him that this is wrong and want my full dollar amount.He then proceeded to tell me he doesnt want to buy my cans, or have my business. I made him re-bag my cans which he did reluctantly with some words I could not not understand. I left and took my cans to a different place, and gained an extra $5.00 with NO hassle. They didnt even check this"so-called" wet weight, I recovered MY extra $5.00 by going down the street to a LEGITAMITE recycling company that did not try to take advantage of my ignorance in recycling procedure. read more
