I had over 40 total pounds in cans minus 12 pounds for the 4 container average and got paid for only 20 pounds which did not make any sense. Before I could even weight it again they already mixed it with the rest of the recycling. I would take a picture of all the weights if you plan to do business there. read more

Yg is a very lovely person, she's very nice & she PAYS IN CASH!!! Very helpful: There's no need to go the extra step of going to the Ralph's next door to redeem a voucher. But please, be smart to yourself & considerate to others: 1) Make sure everything you bring has a "CRV" on it. 2) Most importantly: PRE-SORT your recyclables before coming. Separate your recyclables according to - Plastic - Aluminum - Glass. Don't be the "noob" who spends hours in-line separating your recyclables one-one-by one. It slows the line & hogs the precious bins away from the others who are ready to redeem their already-sorted recyclables. 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!!! Definitely something sketchy going on. I was severely under paid for the amount of plastic and aluminum I brought in. The amount I bring in every couple months ranges from $50-$65. This load was on the biggest end... with bags filling my car completely... I got $29. They hide the scale so you can't see the weight. Which was a red flag. The last time I was here I got $52 for less amount than I had today for $29. DO NOT ... I repeat DO NOT go here. They're stealing money off the top. read more

I have gone to different recycle centers and decided to go to this one being closer to my home. Very disappointed. I didn't count how many bottles or cans I brought in, but I was surprised that I only was given 50 cents. Have the nerve to have a tip box. My tip is to go to AM Recycle center in the future. read more

Went in with an open mind even though plenty of reviews said this place was a scam and what do you know, it was a scam. Figured I'd give it a try since it's close and after weighing out my total which was 102.5 pounds, my receipt only said 71 pounds. When I pointed this out they claimed it was the weight of the bucket. So I weighted one at just over 7 pounds. x2 buckets puts it at a maximum of 15 pounds which still puts me above their total at 87.5 pounds almost 17 pounds above. When I pointed this out suddenly the two sparkling cider bottles on top were no longer crv and were the cause of the weight discrepancy. At that point I knew he'd have an excuse for everything so I took my $6 and went. At 10cents crv I don't even see what the point in scamming people is. read more

I like this place much better than the one in Canyon Country as I am able to recycle my pre-counted plastics of 100, which count as 50 large ones. They were kind enough to accept this, as their limit is 50 of the same material if counted, which you get more $ than weigh. Everyone there is nice and very helpful, as now I know how much I'm getting. Edilcer always greets me and is very kind. I highly recommend to have your cans, bottles, and plastics pre-counted to save you time in the heat/cold, and get $2.50 per 50 count. read more

Highly disappointing. This is the 4th recycling center I've used over the past few years. It was the only one that didn't have prices posted. It was a red flag, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I seemed to receive 30-40% less here than for a similar quantity at other locations in SoCal. I'd recommend folks utilize the option for pricing for 50 items if plastic, metal & glass for small quantities or find another option for larger hauls. read more

This guy a scam-artist I will provide evidence with one photo receipt that says it all: Now for the shredding: I went to Sunset Recycling over by the Ralph's on McBean Pkwy earlier today around 4 pm I carried about 7 bags of plastic bottles And about 20 pounds of glass I weighed this before going there The numbers shown on the receipt do not add up whatsoever I had to confront the attendant about the miscellaneous amount of money that I received for the large amount that I recycled. I have been taking my recyclables here because the service is so great. Other places don't really have anyone helping me other than weighing the recyclables. The guy that workis so friendly and so helpful. I bring multiple big trash bag of bottles and cans and without his help, it would take forever to sort but thanks to the guy who works here, I can get it done faster. For this main reason, I bring my recyclables over other recycling centers. read more

Nice and respectful guy that helped us, our normal recycling center closed down that we've been going to since we started recycling. We checked this place out and while we loved the service, we got way less money than we did at our normal place we used to go to so it was unfortunate. read more

My children had been collecting all our cans and bottles and were so excited to go this morning to the recycling center to see how much they collected and to split the money and add to their savings accounts. Sadly, the experience was awful. When we pulled up, there was no one insight. We went ahead and pulled all our bags out as they were clearly open and setup for business. As we pulled our bags out, some guy sticks his head out his car door and starts yelling something that we could not even hear as it was a cold and windy out. I asked him politely to repeat himself, and he got upset at me because he was on a personal call and could not be bothered. He then closes his car door and my children and I proceed to place all our items in the baskets. We finish and end up standing around in the cold wind for almost 10 minutes while we waited for the attendant to finish his personal call, which never happened. I finally had to go to his car and ask him to provide service to us. He once again was annoyed and did not even bother to say one word to me or my children. He got out of his car and continued with his personal call. He did not say one word to me or my children the entire time. My little boy even asked me why he is treating us poorly as the other guy always made an effort to make my kids feel special. I am not asking for anything over the top here, a simply hi or how is your day going should not be to much to ask. Or at least don't take your personal call until you are done helping a customer. This guy took a wonderful experience away from my children who are learning about the importance of recycling and saving money. Next time, I will drive further to avoid this kind of customer service. Stay far away and give your service to someone who actually wants it. read more
