As long as I waited to even be acknowledged when I first arrived and stood at the counter looking around for someone to check me into my appointment which I arrived 20 minutes early for so I could fill out the paper work. now they have collected all my private medical data and I received no notices. And they even after they finally came to the front desk tried to charge me another $49! as if I hadnt already paid online in advance before I could even set the appointment. I called and tried to schedule an appointment, and I guess they are already overbooked, and likely understaffed as I called in advance and wasn't given a call back. and after I was rushed out of there on my first visit before Christmas they promised to follow up with me to schedule a second appointment but I never heard from them. So I am going to call and request a refund. And I expect they are going to pretend like they earned the $49 that they jacked me for with promises of future services and future messages. This isn't medical care its quackery! I have been to dozens of chiropractic offices in my life and by far my experience here is the worst I have every had!!! AVOID at ALL COSTS! ALL about the MONEY. Also they obviously don't care about veterans, I don't recall if they made me disclose my veteran status. All they cared about was getting paid I guess.

It's a bite but affordable for average home healthcare prices. When my father came home from the hospital, the VA left him stranded for almost 2 weeks. We called everywhere and this place took us as self pay clients and got a cna to our home within a day. Right away they accommodated our needs and all the staff were professional, experienced, well-trained, helpful and compassionate. They never complained or embarassed the patient due to changing diapers. The cnas always arrived on time and never had difficulty finding our home. They helped us with referrals on how to get help from within our community on supplies and things we needed. We never had a "no show". Whenever we called the office for whatever reason, or no matter what time of night, they were always available. You would have to leave a message, but your call was returned ASAP. The employees this company hires are people who want to help and want to be in this line of work. A lot of them are going back to school to move up, but they were so helpful. No home health care is going to be perfect, but this place was wonderful. We hated to discontinue care but the VA referred us to another company and would not let us stay with them. Needless to say, the new company referred to us are not near as good or professional as maxim was. Maybe its the way maxim runs their company, but the employees all seem so happy.

In general, my interactions with representatives of the company were respectful, but quite rigid. However, I found the rules established by the company to be very rigid especially for those of us who live with the patient. It's very stress to run a household, handle administrative issues, paperwork etc. by yourself plus remember to check in and do all of the things that I'm supposed to do within a certain timeframe. I would've appreciated more flexibility. The work gets done. It's just impossible to do it all within three specific hours.

The day my mom was admitted to hospice care was very overwhelmed. The director did not explain the…read moreprocedure very well. the next day when we received the hospital bed. my mom was not able to walk or even get into the bed. The day before she had fallen and sprang her ankle. I called the director Kim Baldwin at the time and told her I need someone to come down and help get my mom in the bed. I was told that her nurse couldn't do it by himself and that I needed to call my Church members, family, or neighbors. I told her that all my Church family is old. I tried to explain she needs to be lifted out of her recliner to the bed. Finally she told me to call 911 non emergency that I need a left assists from the fire department. It caused me and and mom to be overwhelmed. Also when my mom passed she did not commutate to the funeral home who she was and didn't give them my contact number. When they came to pick up my mom up they said they will call me Monday. I found out from the director at the funeral had no information of the Hospice facility my mom was under or no contact number to call me. The Funeral called everywhere trying to find out what facility my mom was under and a contact number. Finally I called the funeral home and told them who i was and I gave the director Hospice number to contact Kim. The director said she sent the death certificate and he refused sign it. She did not call four times she called twice and said she left a message but the Funeral home does not have a answering machine. and the second time she was mad because the funeral home called because Kim wouldn't call her back she got mad and called receptionist that they were trying to make her look bad to us and said she called four times. I wasn't impressed with Kim but i tried to understand her way. My family was really upset. On the other the staff that came to our house were awesome and took care of my mom with great care. I would rate a five star for the staff.

Though this has been a very difficult time for my family, the kindness, support, and…read moreprofessionalism of the hospice care team we've worked with has been amazing. From the first meeting, they answered our questions and provided information for us on what to expect, how hospice care worked, and the resources available to us. Two days after my mother entered hospice, they brought in the care team to meet with us. This included the nurses that were going to be working with my mom, the CNA, social worker, and Chaplain. The nurses have always been responsive when I've texted or called and the after hours nurse I talked to was also great. The hospice social worker put us in touch with their volunteer coordinator and helped us arrange a volunteer to spend some time with my mom. I want to thank Nurse Terri, Nurse Darcy, CNA Virginia, Social Worker Chris, Volunteer Coordinator Patrick, and Chaplain Tim. Your support for my family during this time has been invaluable.
