He spent a lot of time on his phone, occasionally driving too fast over the waves, we actually got completely soaked at one point. We also never got the advertised and promised homemade limoncello, which was kind of disappointing. Despite missing out on the finer details, it was a beautiful ride around Capri.

I emailed to get information about reserving a boat and I received a response very promptly and was able to get a reservation just two days away! The whole process was super easy, when we arrived they went over how to get to Capri and what we could do around and on the island... then when we got to the boat they gave us instructions on how to drive the boat since this was our first time driving a boat. They even provided us a cooler with drinks and wine with some ice packs and suggested a deli next door for some sandwiches. They also let us borrow some goggles! When we were done for the day they gave us some homemade limoncello! It was only 120 euro for the boat and 38 for gas.... that less than competitors were charging just for the boat! Overall, it was the best experience we've ever had... we will always remember this trip! We definitely recommend them if you plan on renting a boat in Sorrento!

We were specifically told this tour included two swimming stops. The brochure we received also says…read more"Where we take you" and directly underneath "The areas of navigation," listing places such as Positano, Praiano, Furore, Amalfi, Maiori and Minori. I am attaching a photo of the brochure so people can judge the wording for themselves. My issue is simple: "Where we take you" and "areas of navigation" are not the same thing. One describes where a boat operates or passes; the other reasonably suggests places that are part of the experience. If these are simply areas the boat passes from a distance, the brochure should say that clearly. Because we were promised two swimming stops, I reasonably expected them to be in protected coastal areas or similar locations suitable for swimming. Instead, the boat stopped in deep, exposed open water while the sea was very rough. The boat was rocking aggressively. Staying onboard was making us increasingly seasick, so we ultimately entered the water despite conditions that I personally considered inappropriate for a recreational swimming stop. I owned boats for many years and have considerable boating experience. I understand that sea conditions can change, but I personally would never have placed my passengers into the water under the conditions we experienced that day. When I later asked why they did not use more protected areas such as Furore or Praiano, I was told their boats could not enter there. However, I had visited those areas by land and personally observed other tour boats backing into the buoyed areas, allowing passengers to swim and later picking them up. I understand different vessels, permits or rules may apply. My complaint is not that they were obligated to stop specifically at Furore or Praiano. My concern is that if you advertise swimming stops, those stops should be reasonably appropriate and safe for swimming under the conditions of that day. What was even more disappointing happened when I went to the counter afterward. I tried to respectfully explain my concerns. Instead, three staff members laughed at me and told me I needed to "learn English." I asked to speak with a supervisor or manager and was told nobody was available. That was offensive and completely unprofessional. I clearly explained that "Where we take you" and "Area of navigation" communicate two different things. Instead of discussing that concern professionally, they mocked me. The Amalfi Coast is beautiful, but beautiful scenery does not excuse confusing marketing, questionable swimming locations, or disrespectful treatment of customers. For the record, I speak both English and Spanish very clearly. My English was never the problem.

Taking a boat tour around the blue waters / grottos of Capri is something you'll definitely want to do if you are visiting. There seemed to be a variety of public tour boats around, but for a little bit of a splurge there are several companies that will take you out on a private boat. Amidst the many private tour companies, Capri Relax is a great option. The half day tour is three hours, and for us that was more than enough time. I believe they also have full day options. The boat was clean and spacious and had more than enough room for two of us. They provide you with fresh towels, snacks and sunscreen. There is also a cooler where you can keep drinks, so I suggest picking up some water + alcoholic bevvies to enjoy. Our tour guide (hey Constantino!) was super friendly and gave us some great information about the area. Plus he was a wonderful photog. We had plans to see the blue grotto (and it was actually open that day which isn't always the case). But when we arrived we were one of the many boats on line. After finding out the wait was 1.5 hours we opted to skip out. It just didn't seem worth it to spend half of our boat time waiting on a line. Plus, we still got to see a ton of other beautiful grottos. Our boat docked at least 4 or 5 times and we were able to jump out and swim around. I believe this tour was around $250 for two of us. Considering what we got -- ((three hours of being toured around on a private luxury boat)) this didn't feel so over the top. Would absolutely book again if I found myself in Capri, and if you are visiting I'd urge you to do the same.

Communication beforehand was great, and we were blown away to find out they were offering an upgrade from the 35 ft Gagliotta to the 45 ft Tornado Express for our trip to Capri. As expected, Rosa met us at the dock the morning of our departure and when we returned that evening to make sure we had everything we needed. The boat was absolutely gorgeous and the Captain, Eduardo, was simply the best! He was charming and engaging always making sure he stopped to show us the best places along the way and finding little coves for us to stop and swim, a waterfall, taking pictures for us at each spot, and taking us to the absolute best restaurants we ate at during our entire trip. He also made sure we had plenty of snacks and drinks throughout our trip and wanted for nothing. But Antonella guided us through 2 sections and hit the highlights. I learned so much about the history. Afterwards I wander around for another few hours to soak it all in. Definitely eat before you start the tour & bring water - there is only 1 restaurant that we arrived at by the end of the tour.

The meeting instructions were unclear. Pompeii has multiple entrances, and despite communicating to the provided contact that we were only minutes behind, there was no clear guidance on where to go. While searching for our guide, we asked another Askos guide for help, but he offered none. When we eventually located the meeting area--which was far from where we were led to believe it would be--the Askos representative kept us waiting at the gate for 20-30 minutes. She then showed us a photo of our supposed guide and vaguely stated that they would be "before or after an archway." Pompeii contains multiple major archways, as well as 20,000 daily visitors. There was no realistic way to locate this person. We spent an hour searching before giving up. At this point, we had received no tour. I contacted Askos to request a refund, since we received nothing resembling the service we paid for. They refused. The entry tickets cost only €2 per person (€8 total for our group of four). We spent $340, meaning we could have purchased nearly 150 tickets ourselves for the same cost. Based on our experience--unclear directions, lack of assistance, and refusal to refund when the tour was never provided--I would not recommend booking with Askos.

Marina Grande is an absolute hidden gem in Sorrento! It feels like you've stepped away from the…read morebusy main tourist areas and into a charming, historic, colorful fishing village. We absolutely loved wandering along the waterfront, looking at all the bright wooden boats, and taking in the laid-back, authentic vibe. It has some of the best seafood restaurants right on the water and feels so much more peaceful and local than the main port.

The ferries and large boats go to Marina Piccola. Marina Grande is where we met our captain for our boat tour to the Amalfi Coast and where a lot of other groups were launching from. The marina itself was easier to get to that I thought. The decline was gentle on our knees. The incline, heading back to our Airbnb, is actually quite kinder than I thought while I was going down and it wasn't too hard for someone like me, who isn't fit at all, to make it. Add, being in the sun, on a boat all day and I'd say it was almost easy, so no worries if you have any. There are stunning views from this marina and quite a few restaurants and bars to hang out at. The best part for me was the metal dock that you can walk out onto and see Marina Piccola. You can also look down into the crystal clear water. Just lovely!
