He picked us up at the dock in Positano shortly before sunset. We had a short sunset cruise before dinner while he told us about some of the local area and we chatted about our lives. We were able to sit on the couch on the front deck of the boat (felt like celebrities!). We pulled up to the dock at Lo Scoglio as the sun went down and enjoyed a leisurely dinner there. When beaches and shopping seem to be just scratching the surface of the amazing Positano and you want more or something different... call Marco Predieri. He was a wonderful, knowledgable tour guide! He knows the Amalfi Coast inside and out! He speaks perfect English and he is a walking history book. He will take the time to understand your needs and help you custom plan your itinerary. We had the great surprise of engaging in a few tours he offered that were literally off the charts. We went on amazing hikes seeing ancient waterfalls thru acres of pristine lemon groves. We took a cooking class in the kitchen of a gorgeous restaurant-side by side with the master chef. We went on a private boat tour along the Amalfi Coast with detours to cave dive and eat in a hidden gem of a fishing town. My only regret was there was not enough time to see and do all the wonderful tours he recommended. Marco makes you feel like a friend who has come to visit Italy for the first time and he wants to show you what you may not otherwise get to see. When we booked a week in Positano recently, we of course contacted Luciano for transportation services. Our second experience was as good as the first. We used them for: - pickup at our Naples hotel, then to Pompeii, then to a wine tour/lunch and then onto our hotel in Positano. - pickup at our Positano hotel, then to the trailhead of a hike, then a pickup at the end of the trail and then back to our Positano hotel. - pickup at our Positano hotel, then to a wine tour, then to an Amalfi restaurant and then back to our Positano hotel. - pickup at our Positano hotel and drive us to the airport in Rome. In every case, the driver was early and exactly where he was supposed to be, the cars were clean and well maintained and the driving experience was safe and calm. Each of the drivers were very professional and engaging. I worked with Luciano extensively before and during our trip as our plans and needs changed. We waited at the bus stop where we were introduced to our host, Antonella. It was us and 3 other couples; 2 of them were also on their honeymoon and the other were on their babymoon. Antonella took us around Praiano where we foraged for our food. She also was very knowledgeable with the area and was telling us little stories. After about 1-2 hours, we then went up to the restaurant, M'Ama (I believe that was the name). It was beautiful -- had a great view of the water and mountains. We then met Antonio who also helped us during our cooking class. We had a beer tasting and then 2 wine tastings. We made our own pasta, we tasted a bunch of different cheeses, we made a salad, dessert, it was all so fun. The time FLEW. The food was DELICIOUS and the experience was so unique and cool. I highly recommend doing this if you are in the area -- well worth the money!

There are many options in boats to take you to Capri from Positano, along the Amalfi Coast or to…read morethe islands nearby, but Lucibello is the best! If you are looking for an almost private boating experience, look no further. While a little more expensive than the other places lined up and down the beach, what made my mind up was that there would only be 10-12 people on our boat. The cost to Capril was $70 a person for the day and know that they bring towels and beverages so all you need to do is come prepared to enjoy a great day out on the water (wear your swim suit and you can swim right off the boat!) The boat leaves Positano around 9am on most days. They show you a range of sights along the way to Capri like the white grotto, the green grotto, the lighthouse, Villa Malaparte and you get off the boat at Marina Grande. You then have about 3 hours on the island before returning back to Positano. There is a stop both on the way there and on the way back to swim off the boat and enjoy the beautiful Mediterranean! A wonderful way to see the Amalfi Coast- this was one of my favorite days of my entire trip!
