We had looked at the menu and decided that we would have a few drinks and nothing else. The server was upset, he told us we each had to order one meal. And accused us of trying to get free bread and olive oil. He said if I would have known you were only getting drinks I would have told you we are closed! He insisted we must order meals or his manager would be upset. I asked to speak to the manager, as we where not going to eat anything else on the menu. The server kept insisting we order, that we where being rude by not ordering food. I apologized and said we were not hungry and that we would be happy to pay for the bread and olive oil. We told him we where not trying to get anything free, and happy to pay for anything we ate and drank. The manager was never called to our table and we were given the check after much argument from the server. It was the worst experience I have had in a restaurant while traveling abroad. It's less crowded and more secluded than the main beach club in Positano. We happened to be staying across the road which was lucky. If not, the beach club actually has a boat that will ferry you over from the main Positano area. The space isn't huge, so be sure to make a reservation in advance. In addition to reserving a chair you can also reserve a time slot to have lunch at the restaurant. 20 euro gets you a chair with a sun shade, a towel and an umbrella. We got there early and had first pick at a seat. If you can, I suggest doing the same. It was really nice to have views of the ocean (instead of another chair) in front of us. But honestly, the beach is so beautiful that there really isn't a bad seat anywhere. A chair also includes waitress service. There is an extensive drink menu with tons of cocktails, spritzes, wines, beers, frozen drinks and smoothies. Prices are very reasonable for a beach club -- cocktails are around 10 and bottles of wine 20. We weren't expecting much for lunch but the restaurant was actually phenomenal. The grilled octopus came with a huge portion and was super fresh. The ravioli pomodoro was perfectly al dente and stuffed with a delicious ricotta cheese. The grilled eggplant was simple and cooked in flavorful olive oil. Lunch was also fairly priced, and service was fast. The seats also overlook the water, so it's a beautiful and relaxing dining setting. Two people can walk away after a full day of fun and sun, eat and drink well, and spend not much over 100 euro. I strongly suggest making sure that your Positano itinerary includes a day to spend relaxing at Bagni. You won't regret it.

The staff speaks enough English to not have any problems and their service is very accommodating and friendly. So much, that we left Positano and came back here for a second day. Below the restaurant is the beach area and you get lounge chairs with tables and umbrellas, good sized changing rooms and warm and cool showers. It was a decent walk down a path to get to the inlet and you have to walk down a pretty steep set of stairs to get down to the water but boy is it worth it! I'd recommend water shoes as the rocks are slick. You can swim around or lounge on rocks. There were probably about a dozen people while we were there in April. There's lots of nearby walking paths full of wildflowers and some ruins. I could have packed a lunch and spent all day here and in the surrounding hiking spots. I lift weights 3x a week and I was still sore from my fingertips and arms, shoulders, and back. My whole upper body got quite a workout in those 3 hrs. -The water was very choppy from just the fact that it's the sea, but all the boats make it even more so. This was not a kayaking adventure for the weak and I'd never recommend for a non swimmer. The waves could overturn your kayak and although you're wearing a life jacket, if you can't swim, that situation wouldn't be fun. A 3 hr adventure cost €69 per person. You meet near the Amalfi Port. We had a car and chose to drive there and park. Amalfi fills up very fast. We arrived at 8:30am and there were plenty of spaces at BERMA parking, but by 8:45, every space was taken. We arrived early and grabbed croissants and cappuccinos before our 10am time slot. Amalfi is nice to enjoy in the early hrs before the town explodes with people. Nice guides. Good equipment. Stunning views. And the Italian men were nice to look at.

So this tour was very Adventurous and it was so much fun. To get to the tour, You can either take…read morethe steps down from the top of Amalfi or you can take free ferry. I recommend the ferry, unless you want the great exercise from walking the 400 steps down. One of the guy's name was Antonio and he was really nice and really funny. The other guys name was tiny tony. My wife and my daughter were on it and they were in the back of the group so tiny tony pulled them in and according to my wife, "he saved her". Antonio and Tiny Tony explained all about the villages and it was really interested. Also, there was no way I would have made it if he didn't teach us how to do it. Then we started going in the the gulf and he explained to us which side to go on. Also some people were falling behind so Little Tony helped them and Antonio helped us. We had a great time kayaking and then we reached a beach and they let us take a break. During the break they gave us a towel, crackers and bananas. We also got to jump off a 12ft rock. Also they made some funny jokes. It was very hard work so make sure your not tired for the tour! It was so much fun and I totally recommend you doing it. The staff was phenomenal and it was very organized. If your looking for some good views and a great tour this is a good thing to do.
