I visited this clinic for ear and throat concerns and, after testing, was told I qualified for hearing aids. I scheduled a tutorial and fitting appointment for 12:30 PM with Dr. Shoshana Richelson. Despite arriving on time, I wasn't called in until 1:00 PM. I watched the doctor walk in and out of her office without a patient, and when she finally brought me in, the apology was barely audible. Her appearance and communication were disorganized, and my confidence in the process immediately began to fade. She then walked me to the nurse practitioner, who showed me how to charge, insert, and remove the hearing aids. I left the office with mixed emotions but wore the hearing aids for the rest of the day to evaluate them. That night, I placed them in the charger and went to bed. I woke up at 3 AM and couldn't stand up. I stumbled through the house trying to finish what I was doing and immediately went back to bed. Four hours later, I woke up to the exact same scenario -- unable to stand, dizzy, and frightened. I returned to bed again, reminding myself that I needed to call the office as soon as I was fully awake. I called between 3:30 and 4:00 PM and left a message explaining my panic and what had happened. When no one called back, I tried again, hoping to speak with the doctor directly. Instead, I was told to leave another message. I hung up, tried once more, and was again told to leave a message. I waited the rest of the day, but no one from the office ever returned my call. By Wednesday morning, I was exhausted from the stress of the situation and frustrated by the complete lack of communication. I returned the hearing aids, completed the return form, and canceled all upcoming appointments. How does an office close for the day without checking messages that may involve urgent symptoms or patient distress? How does a medical practice ignore repeated calls from someone who is clearly frightened and asking for help? This is not just inconvenient -- it is irresponsible. Patients -- especially older patients -- rely on their medical providers to communicate, follow up, and show even the most basic level of concern. In closing, I will obviously not be returning to your practice. After this experience, I no longer have confidence in your communication, your responsiveness, or your ability to support patients when they need you most. If anyone asks me about this office, I will be honest about what happened and share my experience so others can make informed decisions. Patients deserve better. Older patients deserve better. And no medical office should allow calls for help to go unanswered!

After several nonsensical 'testing' the PA advised my husband that he should get a script for heartburn. Now we are getting nickeled and dimed to death with petty bills for all of the tests that were done and with no satisfaction regarding the questions we went in with. This is a very disorganized, nonprofessional group. We never saw a doctor. Only a PA. Steer clear of this office.

The clinic staff at the front desk were cold and a bit rude. I've worked in healthcare for nearly 20 years, specifically pediatric care, and it's quite unusual for staff to not introduce themselves, not say a hello or good morning, and not to acknowledge or interact with the pediatric patient. After multiple attempts, we decided to wait until all the colds/sinus issues, teething, and growth of the baby teeth stopped to reschedule and try again. October 31, 2023…read more Review #446 Lakeshore Ear, Nose & Throat Center (LENT) has been providing Me with Otolaryngology health care since the 90's back at their previous office near Eastland Mall. This Macomb Township location is My Spring & Fall office when my allergies flare up and sometimes resulting with fluid in my ears leading to vertigo and then also sinusitis. The Lakeshore ENT Specialists I've known are polite and professional and also this practice offers 6 convenient locations in Michigan. The lobby offers many seats with magazines and quiet areas as well after signing in with receptionist and verifying insurance. I've been told that there are different check-in and check-out staff that rotate their jobs. I've read here on Yelp with 5 other posted reviews to be low or unsatisfactory comments about this location. I read one 5 star review that was in 2022 with a great experience. Therefore My Review is honest and based on My many years as a patient with better experiences and the two doctors I see are helpful and knowledgeable plus the nurse assistances I seen. The check-in window and also check-out area have attentive and polite staff working and I've never been unhappy with either areas. In the past I've seen Dr. Rice, Dr. Dzul, Dr. Brammer all who have retired. I am currently a patient for 2 years with ear specialist Dr. Cameron Heilbronn and Allergist & Nasal Dr. Michael Fozo since Sept 6th, 2023. Both Doctors are knowledgeable, caring and have given Me helpful advice for my Spring and Fall allergies. They listen to my symptoms and I feel at ease and confident that they will help me to get well and maintain my health. I have posted a photo of the brochure with full descriptions of all the ENT specialists and their practices that they help to assist children, youth and adults with their needed care. Also if a patient needs a hearing test which I get yearly they have a Audiologist that will assist with it. When I needed a CT Sinus Scan it was performed and covered by NY insurance in the same building downstairs in Radiology. So great connection and communication! I am pleased and grateful to be in Quality care of these two doctors at LENT for the past 20 + years! I recommend this practice and location. Booking appointments can be either by phone or from their website too. When the patient asked for reasonings to be explained, Dr. Martin only gave the reasoning for being overweight. Dr. Martin mentioned the patient was only having migraines because of being overweight. The patient also asked what they could do when they mentioned they have tried many different ways to lose weight and nothing was working. Dr. Martin said there was nothing he could do. Dr. Martin said there was nothing he could help with and did not give any references or recommendations for other things the patients could try. Dr. Martin only brought up being overweight as an issue for sleep apnea when the patient mentioned feeling stressed. Dr. Martin made the patient feel very uncomfortable and upset. I do not recommend Dr. Martin unless you want to feel worthless and feel like there is no hope to get better. Horrible experience overall besides the office staff.

For Instants one day I had an appointment in Sterling Heights And my doctor was going to be at that location that day so it saved me an extra trip out to Sterling Heights which is a far drive for me. The doctors that I've had experiences with here are Dr. Adam Rourke and Dr Hanzo. Dr. Rourke is more of the nose and throat specialist and Dr. Hanzo more the war specialist. They both can treat you for whatever ails you in this department ear nose and throat but if you're looking for some things specific that's been a recurring or chronic issue you might want to talk to them about seeing Dr. Rourke for the nose and throat and Dr. Hanzo for the ears. The other thing that's really great about Lake shore in general is that they have a great staff of people who are very easy to work with and are very pleasant and actually care about the patients whenever we need some thing they make sure that we get it in a timely manner and whenever we need to cancel an appointment due to a sickness or due to inclement weather they are more than understanding and it's that kind of service that keeps us coming back when we need them instead of going somewhere else. So I do recommend trying them out if you're suffering from anything related to your ear nose or throat.

However, the current front desk staff treats patients like numbers rather than human beings. At 71 years old, I had a routine follow-up appointment today. I accidentally left my newly updated Medicare card on my counter at home. Despite being a regular patient for two decades, the front desk completely refused to help me look up the number or allow me to call it in after the visit. When I politely stated that the receptionist wasn't being very nice to a long-term patient, she flatly told me, "It's not a matter of niceness, it's a matter of policy."A clinic can enforce billing rules while still treating elderly, long-term patients with dignity and warmth. To be turned away so coldly over a simple oversight was incredibly embarrassing and unprofessional. Dr. Rourke and Dr. Scapinni are great, but management desperately needs to train their front desk staff on basic empathy and customer service.

Review #538…read more 2/28/2026 I'm a patient in the Medical Group at Silver Pine for wellness check ups. I am pleased to know and use 4 different locations out of 6 for my wellness or feeling under the weather office visits. On January 5, 2026 I had a sinus infection that needed attention plus was given a antibiotic in the end of my appointment with Dr. P. Patel. He is one of the many doctors in this medical group. My regular doctor Jennifer Hichme and Kristina Batkins were unavailable when I urgently called here. The Staff at the appointment desk was kind enough to fit Me in with him and I was glad to be taken care of in a kind and attentive plus responsive way. High Fives to the staff here at this office in the Corewell Health Medical Building On Hall Rd and Tilch. The lobby is small but I wore a mask since I was ill and others were sitting half in a wellness area and half in illness section of chairs. This location also has a blood work lab that is only by appointment. I was taking care of after a 15 minute wait since I was early for the time of my appointment. The nurse to complete my vitals and short conversation was very kind and pleasant with her job. Dr. Patel was considerate, helpful with my questions plus knowledgeable to my previous health condition and surgery back in September 2025. He was careful to prescribe Me a medication for the sinus infection that would not interact with my new meds, so I appreciated that concern and attention. Like the other Silver Pine locations, the office experience, care of quality, and type of care was caring and concerning. I connected with my Corewell Health Portal the next day to read his notes about my illness appointment and results. My prescription was sent to my pharmacy after I left this office and was ready in less than 30 minutes. I am glad to have this location available and close to My Home in Macomb when I need to see My 1 of 2 doctors based on their schedule and appointments open here. The Physicians here are advanced and can vaccinate with flu or COVID shots and treat a patient with respect. My 5 stars are true based on my visits in the Silver Pine Medical Group. I certainly feel the care, compassion and professionalism of the doctors, nurses and staff at this location. They offer Self-Scheduling appointments on line too now. This Silver Pine Medical Group office is location in Suite 110 in the urgent care door for easy walk in access. Phone#: (586) 726-4823 Hours: www.silverpinedocs.com They accept most insurance and credit cards. Sincerely, Karen N. :-) Macomb, MI.
