I had really high hopes for our wedding photos - particularly after our engagement session where we had photos taken with a variety of backgrounds and with a variety of poses. When the wedding day came it was a different story. We ended up with photos of us in only 2 locations, and the only pose was standing next to one another. There was no variety in our wedding photos and when I suggested we move to a different location I was told no. I also did not get all the pictures on my list (including one of me with my parents). The way she flew through photos and missed things made it seem we were running out of time, but she kept telling us we were way ahead of schedule. I expressed my disappointment to Amanda and she was kind enough to offer another "wedding" session - but I would feel absolutely ridiculous getting dressed up again for a photo shoot in my wedding dress on what wouldn't be my wedding day. There were also some excuses I found odd - such as there being no photos of us the hour before the wedding because there were signs on the door asking the guests to stay out of the building we were in (I can't imagine a photographer believing these signs apply to them, but she apparently did). The pictures that we do have are mostly nice - but they are all the same. It's been three months since our wedding and I still have no pressing desire to print and frame any of them because they just don't thrill me. I realize this is an unusual review as the rest are so exceptional. Perhaps ending up with a wedding date the day before her brother's wedding worked against me and she was more focused on that wedding - I really don't know. If you hire her I encourage you to have someone on hand to be your voice for you and have a copy of the shots you want...and get more specific with your shot list than just WHO you want in the shots, but what poses you want, and that you don't just want 30 shots of you standing next to your husband, because trust me, you're going to get real tired of looking at that same pose over, and over, and over... read more

I cannot put into words how much I recommend Lloyd Photographers! I hired husband and wife team, Amanda and Steven, for both our engagement photos and wedding photos for our wedding at the Hollywood Schoolhouse in Woodinville, WA. Working with them was beyond easy and more than I could have hoped for. When planning my wedding I did a ton of research on vendors and asked many of my friends for their recommendations. After looking at their online portfolio, blog and emailing with Amanda, I knew that I would be in good hands and that they would deliver what I was looking for. From the start, Amanda was so kind, friendly and easy to work with. She was very knowledgeable about the industry and clearly very passionate about what she does. She was quick to respond to my emails, flexible in coordinating our engagement shoot (Fall weather is always unpredictable) and so organized and on top of things for the wedding day photos. From the start of wedding planning, I knew that the photography was one of the most important things to me - in the end, I knew that photos are what I would have left to show the captured memories of the day, frame in our first home together, and someday pass on these photos as a legacy to our future family. It's been almost a year since our wedding and I finally have a gallery wall of photos printed and framed, our wedding album done and lots of prints made. It brings a smile to my face every time I look up and see our photos. The photography style was important to me, I wanted these photos to have style, capture the details, capture the moment and be able to be pieces of art in our home. Amanda and Steven nailed it all! Amanda was very timely on turning around our photo galleries for both our engagement shoot and our wedding. The process of receiving the images online and downloading them was super easy. She also recommended excellent sources for printing photos. She was accommodating and went above and beyond with some Photoshop work I wanted done on our bridal party photo. They made the day of the wedding feel very smooth. They were punctual and seamlessly jumped into the day when they arrived. The guys enjoyed Steven's company to take their getting ready photos and us ladies with Amanda. They guided us with ease throughout our day and throughout each set of photos. I knew they were on top of all the photos I wanted, and I never had to worry about making sure all the photos I wanted were being taken. Amanda had me fill out an organized list beforehand of all the photos that were important to us, all the family and wedding party info and any other important details. They took it from there and delivered all that we wanted and so much more! I get so many complements from my family and friends about how beautiful our wedding photos are. In addition, our other vendors were thrilled to get the images I sent them of the wedding (flowers, cake, signage, décor, etc). No details were missed!
