One of the worst haircuts I've ever received. There are generally two people working there. One is…read morea middle-aged woman who usually does a great job. I've had her twice and left satisfied. Unfortunately, this woman wasn't there when I stopped by today. As I needed a haircut, I decided to try the other woman. She is an older woman who shouldn't be allowed to barber. Despite being given pretty clear directions (including a picture of my hair done the way I like from my previous barber), I was given something that could have been accomplished with a pair of clippers and a set of safety scissors myself. She was more interested in "Deal or No Deal" on TV than my hair cut (taking multiple pauses to watch the show). Her method of cutting hair seems to be as followed. 1. Nod when the customer explains what he wants. 2. Take clippers and put them at significantly lower setting. 3. Buzz a line around the crown. 4. Lop hair off the top. 5. Smile I feel extremely dissatisfied with my haircut today and I'll likely have to buzz everything off. The haircut looks extremely unprofessional, to the point that multiple people asked me if I did it myself. If you get the middle-aged woman, I'd say it's worth it. However, if the older woman is working you need to immediately turn around and walk out the door.

While I haven't had anyone horrible, I haven't had any that I would want to commit to either. So I asked my friend for her recommendation. Her hair always looks great. Turns out her friend, whom I've met thru her is a stylist. I immediately scheduled an appointment even though with traffic the salon location is 45 -1 hour away from me. If my friend didn't tell me they were located next to the busing company I probably wouldn't have found them right away. The location (they share a building with the bus company) is strange and their size undersized and generic. I'm surprised I'm the first review as my stylist started working there in 1992 so this is a very established salon. The inside was a tad dated, the stations reminded me of a 1990's Rent A Center but I didn't care. Michelle greeted me warmly, remembering me from years of events we went to for our friend in common. Her hair looks great so I knew the experience would be a good one. She asked all the right questions about my routine, how I part, texture, look I was trying to achieve, etc. She really listened to my every word and my cut and style reflected that. I have no complaints whatsoever. I walked out with my hair shiny, full of bounce and volume and the perfect styling. It was the best my hair has looked and felt since my old stylist's career change. Prices were in par with other salons I visited. They do charge a fee for using plastic (which in this day and age is odd) and tips are expected in cash (1st time customers are forgiven as I was). They have products for sale, but don't know if they offer other salon services other than hair (facials, nails) etc. I suspect they have an older clientele but that was based on the observation of my first and only visit thus far so I could be wrong. 4 stars because I'm not a fan of the upcharge for using plastic (who carries cash anymore?!?). I also think the space was set up in a way that it could feel more luxurious and modern with some upgrades to the furniture and fixtures. The exterior sign should be more prominent as well. Michelle however is a 5 star stylist and I'd highly recommend her! Its official....Michelle is "the one".

I went in for a gel manicure and…read morepedicure, paid $75 one single person working all morning, very rushed and gel manicure did not even last a 1 week before it started peeling off. I called to complain and the owner told me to come in so she could "see my nails", continued to blame me for the gel not sticking saying that I probably garden or my nails are just "too oily" for gel. Something I have never heard or experienced in the 8+ yrs that I've gotten gel polish. Nevertheless I showed up to the salon exhausted after a long shift and showed her my nails she was extremely nasty and rude saying that she would fix them for me "only one time", being that I was tired after work I asked her if I could come back the next day, she very rudely told me, "NO if you want it fixed I'm only fixing today, come tomorrow and pay full price and no refund either". On top of that I was forced to pick the exact same polish that I had picked previously. Needless to say Im sitting here writing this review 3 days later and the polish is peeled off again.
