From the first meeting with Sharon the estimator to the completion of my beautiful deck with Will the foreman and his crew, my expectations were exceeded in every way. Sharon was very patient and helpful as she assisted with making deck choices. She kept in communication throughout and was fun to work with besides! And as for Will the amazing foreman who led the way on construction day, there was nothing he wouldn't do to be helpful. Well 14 years ago we had gotten Amazing Decks, though their deck design was nice the workmanship and materials were terrible. We called them so many times to replace stringers, replace wood boards because they had rotted. But the worst was a bench that was built as part of the deck. Within a few years the bench had warped. We called them many times to come and fix it and they told us they would be out to fix it and never came. So we called another company that came out right away and low and behold the boards that were used for the deck were not pressure treated and the entire structure was rotted. So the stringers had rotted and so did the bench. It looks like they used both pressure treated and not pressure treated boards in doing our deck. Follow up and customer service are horrible. Do your homework before you call these guys. read more

I was out in Ambler a couple of months ago and saw their storefront. Photos looked great so I called them up to get an estimate for a rear porch I basically need to replace. Sales guy came out on the appointed day leaves me with a brochure and says he'll have my estimate in a couple of days. I don't hear back any after three weeks, so I called to see what's up. The guy apologized and said the estimate was misplaced but I will receive it by e-mail later that day. Two more weeks go by and still no estimate, so I call again. I'm on hold for ever then the guy comes on and apologizes again. He says he'll get the estimate right to me. Just to be clear, at this point there is no way I'm going to hire them for this job based on what I now expect would be really poor customer service should there be a problem with the work or materials. But still I at least wanted to see the estimate for comparison. So later that day I get an email from the guy, stating that he just found out that they no longer work in Philadelphia County, but he could recommend a contractor? WTF? Thanks for wasting my time for 6 weeks. read more

I was disappointed in the work completed at my home by Amazing Decks. I had found them on the Trex's website as a platinum installer and picked them due to this. At the completion of my project(April 2019) I noticed that all of the seams where the boards came together were sloppy, most of the screws used to secure the deck were either raised or completely stripped, and two of my boards actually have bubbled and popped in less than two months time. They seem to install a lot of these decks, hence the platinum rating from Trex, however my install was not even close to such a rating. I am a fair guy and for the price I paid I should have received a better finished product. I would not recommend Amazing Decks as an installer. read more

We worked with Andrew and the entire experience was excellent! We were replacing a 30 year old self installed deck with a screened in porch and larger deck. We had ideas and Andrew provided suggestions. What sealed the deal was being able to see the materials and discuss final options with Andrew a at their showroom in Ambler. They quoted a price and schedule and were right on. Installation of our 700sqft deck/screened in porch occurred in January / February 2022. They arranged for the permits, dumpster, port-a-potty, materials delivery, and foundation work. They had a super dedicated installation team that worked on our job straight for 2 weeks in some of the worst weather we had - temps in the teens, snow, freezing rain. They removed the existing deck and built the new deck. They kept us up to date on the progress and explained the construction every day to me. They were very courteous and maintained a clean construction site. The final punch list took less than a few hours to complete. Our township required a seepage pitch for drainage. Amazing Decks also coordinated the work for it, which happened in April 2022. Once completed, they did a final cleanup of the job site, filled in some ruts in the lawn, seeded and put hay on the bare spots. Overall, from beginning to end, they were fantastic to work with and the finished product - decks and screened in porch are - you guessed it - Amazing! read more
