After wearing strip lashes for years, I decided to try out lash extensions for a more permanent, lower-maintenance lash look, so I booked my first appointment at Amazing Lash Studio in Fairfield. After spending (way too much) time researching lash styles on Amazing Lash Studio's website and Instagram, I had a very clear vision of the look I wanted. I even came prepared with my favorite strip lashes and some of my best selfies ‍ so I could give my stylist a visual reference of my lash goals. Since I was booked with a Master Stylist, I felt confident that we were on the same page going into the appointment. Unfortunately, I spent the rest of that afternoon experiencing some pretty serious lash lamentations. The lashes themselves were well applied and good quality, but they just weren't the look I thought I had asked for. I was hoping for more of a cat-eye effect with extra length and volume toward the outer corners, but they ended up looking more evenly rounded across the eye than I envisioned, and the curl was much stronger than I'm used to. After I washed my face for the first time, the curl relaxed a bit, and I started getting more used to the style, but I also noticed some of the lashes on the outer corner of one eye weren't sitting quite right and seemed a little loose. I'm not someone who typically complains or asks for things to be redone, but after investing in my first set of lash extensions, I felt like I owed it to myself to at least ask if there was a way to get a little closer to the look I'd originally envisioned. So, the next day, I reached out to the studio--and this is where my experience completely turned around. Olivia, the manager, was absolutely wonderful. She was the one who answered the phone when I called, listened to every concern I had, and offered to fit me in as soon as possible for an adjustment appointment. When I came back the next day, she greeted me at the front desk and immediately took the time to talk through my concerns in person. As a first-time extension client, I wasn't even sure whether what I wanted was realistically achievable, but Olivia explained that extensions and strip lashes simply have different limitations. At the same time, she assured me they would do everything they could to get me closer to the style I had in mind before pairing me with a different stylist, Annie. Annie was fantastic. She carefully evaluated my current set, looked through my inspiration photos, explained the changes she could realistically make, and worked with me to create a result that better matched what I had originally envisioned. We had a great chat as she worked, and I left so much happier with my final results! I was also incredibly appreciative that there was no charge for the adjustment appointment. I'll admit I was a little nervous that I'd have to pay all over again or be charged a touch-up fee, but instead they simply wanted me to leave feeling confident and satisfied. Throughout the entire second appointment, they never made me feel like I was being unreasonable or overly picky. It was obvious that they genuinely wanted to work with me until I was happy with the final result. I made sure to leave Annie a tip because I truly appreciated the extra time, care, and attention she put into making things right. I'm still deciding whether lash extensions are my thing (I may always be a strip lash girl! ), but regardless of that, I walked away incredibly impressed by the customer service at this location. They didn't just provide a service--they listened, communicated, educated, problem-solved, and made sure I felt valued as a client. There is a 15 min. grace period. While enroute I received a call from the front desk self proclaimed manager asking me when I could re-schedule. I presumed I had missed the grace period only to look at my watch post call and see that I was still within timeframe when she called. When I called back to make her aware she began blowing and cying and insinuated I was lying. I made her aware of her behavior and she said the call was recorded. I was excited because it would identify exactly was she said in her call. I asked the matter be tiered to the owner and now 3 weeks out I still haven't received a call. I called as a reminder and the front desk said the owner was on vacation. As of Jan. 05 I have yet to receive a call. In addition, a resource / front desk utilized my personal information to send me an unsolicited email with the terms and conditions. I responded with a cease and desist stating that I had not requested any documents. My request has only been to have the owner contact me and to hear the "recording" so that the $35 fee would be returned or credited as I had clearly been defrauded. Paying customers deserve to be treated with respect without the harassment, blowing and cying. I would recommend a kiosk replacing the front desk staff. Albeit, there may be technical difficulties it would not lie, harass, or have behavioral issues. Next steps for me are necessary to dispute the charge. Please do not answer your phone when anyone from this location calls within your 15min grace. They can speak with you upon arrival and by all means ask to have the conversation recorded or record it yourself to protect yourself. read more

I got my lashes done for the first time & I initially enjoyed the experience. My lash tech was so kind and gentle. Although, I'm bummed about the outcome, within less than 12 hours I already saw fallout. I hadn't slept on them or gotten them wet. The next morning (day 2) over half the lashes were gone. They look so dingy & I'm shocked by how much fall out there has been in less than 48 hours. They have offered the opportunity to fix it but I'm at the point that i wish I just hadn't gotten them now that I'm walking around with half my lashes on one eye. read more

If you like crappy, elderly-looking, barely visible extensions, this is the place to go. First of all, they trick you by telling you it will be $65 online when you book an appointment, then once you get there you pay all these additional fees for subpar work. The technician, Bailey, was not polite or accommodating. It took her 3 hours to put on maybe 20 lashes. I asked (and paid) for a volume look and it barely looks like I have mascara on. The lashes are thin, stiff, and uncomfortable. My lashes on the corners of my eyes fell off not even a full hour after my appointment. I called to notify them and the receptionist gave me bullshit excuses. Paid $145 for garbage. Save your money go to a REAL salon. read more

The first time I came to this location it had been my first lash set. I didn't know what I wanted so I went subtle. A little over 2 weeks later I needed a refill but I told the lady I would probably need a full set to which she agreed. The lady at the counter suggested I get the "auto pay" monthly and save money. I probably saved $70? I'm not too sure. I got a fuller look so it was a bit more. I pre-scheduled 2 weeks out and got a different lady, each time I went, it was different. I told the lady that did it the 3rd time I didn't like how curly they were and wanted them a little straighter, she told me the lady that did my lashes the time before used lashes that most girls there don't use? Didn't make sense but I didn't make a fuss. What got me was that I went 2 weeks out and had to pay another full set so it didn't matter if I went 2 weeks or 4 weeks I would have paid the same price. Then I asked to be rescheduled with the same lady and they told me it would be $10 more since she was a "master lasher" I kept my cool, booked the appt but won't be going back since I checked my bank account and spent nearly $500 on 3 appts for lashes in the last month. Wow. You're paying for the location and I would suggest looking elsewhere for cheaper price. All the ladies were nice but weren't personable at all. The only girl who acted like she wanted to be there was the receptionist. If you're lucky, you get a good stylist. I've had 3 that were fantastic, but they've all left. Of my other experiences, one girl got glue in my eye, which was excruciating for about 4 days. Another took over 2 hours and the lashes mostly fell off within a week (had to pay for a full set all over). And my most recent visit was a mini-refill, which should take half an hour, but after an entire hour and the stylist stabbing my eyelid 3 separate times with her tool, my eyelashes look worse than when I arrived. The lashes on the outer corners have nothing attached to them and even after brushing, the others point all sorts of directions. My teenage daughter could have done a better job with a package of drugstore eyelashes for a fraction of the price. I'm done giving this salon chances. read more

I booked an appointment to get a lash lift. This would be my first ever appointment and I was pretty excited. I got my lashes done for St. Patty's Day coming up so I wouldn't have to worry about wearing a lot of makeup and fidgeting with my face/eyes. I felt a slight tingle in my left eye mid appointment. I let my technician know and she did a little wipe to try and help. Not sure what she did. Continuing on we let the perm solution sit for the amount of time needed (I would hope and assume not longer than necessary). We're finishing up the appointment and I go to the bathroom with some soap to wash the sticky stuff off my eyelids and lashes. All is well. I pay, tip, and on my merry way I go. A couple minutes later I keep feeling a hair on my eye lid tickling me. I thought it was from my bangs. Nope, it was my lashes. Cool, one side took well and I guess the other side didn't? I call them as soon as I get home and the receptionist tells me she will talk with her manager and give me a call 30 minutes later to schedule an appointment for the next day within their 3 day complementary fix policy. Never hear back. I wait till the next day... still nothing. I'm not going to beg for them to put chemicals on my eyes again. After further research I was wrong about my lashes. The side that curled is actually fried and the side that looks barely curled is FOR SURE what they should look like. The hair should not be curled back so far it hits my eye lid. I went elsewhere and they could do nothing for me except try to mask it with extensions. Thankfully it helped and the people were super accommodating. Ashlyn is literally the sweetest, kindest and professional reception tech there. She will move earth and sky to schedule you in when you need it. For starters I'm a very nice person and I don't like to make other people feel like they aren't doing their best job especially when I know that they're trying but I went in for A refill at this location just because it's closer for me and I was not pleased at all.. my bottom lashes were glued with the top one and it hurt like hell to get them separated and I've never had to go through that experience when getting my lashes done so that was like the first red flag then I went in to get a correction done because since a-a bunch of my lashes fell out I didn't like them because there was still a lot of spacing between lashes so when I went in to get them redone the girl was really nice but she still didn't exceed my expectations... so for my next refill I'm going to have to go ahead and go to the further location because they just seem to take their time and do a better job. I've had my lashes done at other Amazing lash locations but never have I experienced such horrible pain like I received at this one. First, the extensions are very thick and stiff. They constantly poke my eyelids and I find myself rubbing my eyes profusely because it's so uncomfortable. I've lived with these darn lashes for a week now and I fear by the time it gets better or have fallen out, I won't have any lashes left. Save your money and go elsewhere. If I could give it no stars I would but obviously that's not an option. Pissed as hell and would love to cancel my membership at this point. read more

***update....I did return on day 2 and was offered a free fix by the lead stylist there, Alexis, before I headed out of town. She was very fast and made my lashes look very even on the side that was bare. I can definitely tell a difference in the lashes she applied as the other eye is now steadily loosing lashes. In the end, I think my lesson learned is that lashes will vary by stylist in the manner they are applied and you need to find a stylist that you prefer. I will return, if Alexis is available. Original post: Came for the first time to get lashes ever because I was the high bidder on a full set for a schofundraiser. The guy at the front was extremely welcoming and made me really excited to be there. The stylist was very friendly and I genuinely liked her. After two hours and her assuring me she wanted to do a great job to make sure I was happy I immediately felt like something was wrong. They were pretty pushy about wanting to sell extra products. My eyes looked uneven. I took a picture in my car and sent it to my girlfriend. She agreed they were uneven, but still pretty. I noticed eyelashes falling on my face throughout the evening but I expected that was somewhat normal because she told me a few might come loose and not to worry about it. This morning (literally half a day later) I wake up and the side that wasn't as full is horribly uneven now. Most of them have fallen out and I have a wedding to go out of town for today. I'm pissed and embarrassed to go sport these eyelashes. I paid for a sitter to go get dolled up yesterday and it was a waste of time and money. Had I known the stylist was "new," I would have paid more for someone with some experience that actually knew what they were doing. The lashes were not consistently placed and going in off directions particularly on one eye. At checkout the young lady at the counter was accommodating and said we could come in next day (or within 3 days) for a replacement set since we were not satisfied. So I scheduled for next day and showed up for the appt and was then told I had to pay for a new set AND removal. UH NO. The receptionist provided me with all the information I needed to know. I decided on the "sexy" eye lash extensions. I was told my extensions would last 2 to 3 weeks. I had a appointment scheduled and the stylist didn't show up. I had made schedule arrangement to get my lashes done (babysitter for 3 kids) and I had to walk out with no touch up to my lashes. I think stylists should be helps accountable to be at work 30 min prior to be ready for a booking that comes in at 9am. if I would of not showed up to my 9 am appointment I would of been charged any way. so I was on time and didn't get my lashes done. super unhappy. The manager apologized and said she could may be give me a discount but didn't specify how much or if she could make it up to me for having to drive there be on time and walkn out with no lashes done. like I said if u don't show up to your appointment the company will charge you. read more

I'm furious and have expressed my experiences on here before but since deleted them because I felt it was too much. After EVEN MORE bad experiences, I just have to say it is absolutley ridiculous the amount of times I have had an appointment and had to wait 25+ minutes to be seen, which I understand if they are behind every once in a while but if it is EVERY TIME (and I was a member and came monthly) it is intolerable. Furthermore, the last time I got them done, my eyelids afterward were peeling and irritated for about 3 weekend after getting them done and that hadn't happened previously, and then I thought I would try a different location before I canceled my membership ship and then at the CYPRESS location they put the wrong lashes on after making sure they were the right ones. (it's not the same owner i'm aware). Also, a refill is only supposed to take about an hour max and I was in there for 2 hours with a recent stylist, another thing I just can't do so I had to start paying for the master stylist that comes with a fee. There have been more but I feel this is enough to give you an idea. (also be aware of them scheduling you an appointment without you being informed and then charging you a cancelation fee which is 50% of your service). read more

I loved this place but only when I get alexis! She takes her time and is done quickly and they look amazing! This last time I went, it was a last minute thing and Alexis was booked for 3 days so I got an appointment with Taylor, for starters, she obviously didn't know what she was doing. I could feel the tape EVERYWHERE, and so many pieces. Alexis only put it where it was needed and you could tell she was a lot more experienced. I will never go back to taylor as I had an eyelash jabbed underneath the actual place where it's supposed to be. It was very painful, and it took her almost 2 hours for them to be done. And I haven't had them for even a week, and I have some falling out already. I also had a TON of visible white residue. Very disappointed with Taylor's work. They were full but now they're falling, I had all that other stuff going on with them. I will most definitely say if you go, ALEXIS is you're girl! read more

Definitely NOT AMAZING...except for the first visit. On that visit I received a full set of amazing lashes that stayed on for almost 3 weeks. I was very pleased...until I returned for my first refill. It just wasn't as full and I noticed the lashes didn't stay on nearly as long. When I came in for my second refill, I tried to communicate that I noticed my lashes weren't as full as that first time. The lady applying my lashes didn't understand English very well, so I had a difficult time communicating what I was wanting. This time, the lashes were falling off the day I came home. I went back for my third refill, and was hopeful because I was back with the lady who had done my lashes the first time. But again, the lashes were nowhere near as full as the first time. And this time, within 4 days, every single lash had fallen out. I was following the post-care instructions the same as I always had. When I came in today for what would be my final appointment, I told the lady at the front desk about my concerns, and she said I should've called them within 3 days of the last appointment to let them know the lashes were falling out. (I explained I was out of town on vacation at the time and it wouldn't have mattered). I also told her I was really dissatisfied with the drop-off in service from that first appointment. She said they'd try to give me what I was wanting today, but because I didn't have at least 25% of my lashes from the last appointment, I'd have to pay for a full set of lashes which would be an additional $44 on top of the $59.99 that was just debited from my checking account the other day for this month's appointment. I found that to be absolutely ridiculous, not to mention terrible customer service. I asked to cancel my membership and was told to fill out a form that she would leave for her manager to approve. I asked, "The manager might not approve it?", and was told she would explain my concerns to her manager. I asked if they would refund the $59.99 that just came out of my account a few days ago and was told she didn't have any way to refund that. What absolutely horrible customer service. I would only recommend this as a one-time service. That was the only time they delivered on what they advertised. Very disappointed. read more
