Unfortunately I don't think I would try a lash tint and curl again. For the price, the results really weren't worth it. The experience itself was fine. Great customer service. My master level stylist voiced a lot of confidence that she could help me achieve what I wanted. I followed the instructions. Didn't wet my face for 24 hours, but the curl started fading near immediately. By the 24 hour mark, I noticed substantial decurl. We're here exactly one week later and the tint is completely gone. Parts of the outer lashes that are the longest are actually now kinked, which makes mascara difficult to apply. Maybe the service would be better suited for someone who has thicker and longer lashes, unlike me--who has limited hair to begin in. The service itself was 120$, and took about 50 min. I just can't see myself coming in once a month for a minimal change for time and cost. I am seeing that the company has been outreaching to negative experiences, but please don't--I'm not interested in attempting this again. I'd be curious to hear back on other Asian clients or those with sparser eyelash hairs instead. read more

Hands down the worst experience I have ever had! On top of the ladies talking down to you, the receptionist pushes you to buy bi-weekly refill "credits" and neglects to tell you if you don't use them you lose them. I have now lost almost $300 and they refuse to let me use the credits because I canceled my account due to them charging me after asking them to pause it. I literally have been getting my lashes at Amazing lash studio for at least 6 years when the company just first started in Houston. So I know a thing or two about getting lash extensions. I moved here to Kansas City for residency and honestly, had a hard time finding a good stylist in the beginning Even though there is a location 10 min from my apartment, I am willing to drive 30 min to go see Elise because she is just the best. I'm soooo glad I found her and will definitely will be sticking with her for forever. She does an amazing job every time, my lashes look full and the lashes last reasonably well until my next refill. A couple of my coworkers had their lashes done and they referred me and told me about the special on the full set. I was going to California in a few days and decided to give them a try... At first I thought: ""this is just too dramatic!!"" after the first wash/dry (48 hours after getting them set) they softened up a lot. I just got my first fill and they look even better . I am still just jaw-dropped. What an unexpected way to experience something that is supposed to be luxurious, self-care and pampered. I scheduled an appointment online, attached to a price of around $80. I receive a text to call as there is a problem and told that I scheduled with someone that requires more money and can choose to spend more or go to someone less trained. This is obviously a first red flag but I decided to overlook as technology can get in the way--maybe a logistic issue. I proceed to go to my appointment as scheduled with another technician, fill out papers and head back. I was immediately told I had only so many choices now that it was 25 minutes into my session when I had been in the waiting room. So again, put off. I was not informed that my procedure would be cut into by their paperwork. This is just poor education for a new client. She then tells me that what I need will more than double the cost I anticipated and now they already have my card information. So here I am, brand new, feeling trapped. What a sales model. At this point, I feel I have the choice between getting half done or spending twice the money. I am heartbroken before it even begins. I'm a single mom who just wanted a little pampering. I cannot afford a $200 visit and am in total disbelief and just want to walk away--but I don't even know what it will cost to walk away with nothing. I assumed the full cost. So, despite all my gut feelings, I agreed and she started. The procedure seemed to go well but when I looked at the result, to my horror--they're not even good. Some are close to my lashline, some appear to be hanging, some aren't close and look like I attempted to do them myself. And somehow, with the upgraded cost, I barely have anything there. At this point, I literally just want out. I went to the counter, at least managed to share that I am not interested in becoming a member, they asked if I would like to leave a tip, I paid $180 and I quickly left. My daughter went to the studio with her own money and paid $150 for lashes for her Senior pictures but the employees didn't tell her she couldn't get them wet so a majority of her lashes fell out. When she called to discuss the employee on the phone told her they would fix them for free and they set up an appointment. After fixing her lashes they proceeded to not keep their word and charged her yet another $50.00 to fix them when was on them for not telling her how to properly take care of them. It's sooooooo insanely crazy how I can book an appointment in less than 3 minutes but the second I call back to cancel my appointment doesn't actually get cancelled and I have to call and call for literally two days over the course of 14 phone calls to cancel 1 appointment to make sure I'm not charged. The third phone call I did get through then was asked to hold, for over 23 minutes I sat on hold and nobody was going to come pick it back up so I called back and it said the customer hours were "closed for the day" at 3:20pm. So unprofessional and rude. And I'll still never know if my appointment that is now 21 hours away will be cancelled. Can't wait to have to fight the charge on this in a few days. I went to Amazing Lash Studio for a new set recently and I am impressed so far. My eyelashes are long and thick. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is I am still in a trial phase. I have gone for one full set appointment and one fill appointment and I really liked both ladies who helped me. Someone below posted that the lashes weren't very thick or long..well, they offer lashes in varying degrees of thickness and lengths. The thing is, they make you "prove" that your lashes can handle the thicker and longer ones. Some people's natural lashes can't hold a long, thick lash. I have used eyelash extensions for over a year so I knew my lashes could handle long and thick ones, but I still have to go through the trial period to prove it. I am building up and getting them longer and thicker...but, I wish I could have started off with my full set that way. Some of the reviews below complained about washing your eyelashes when you get there using Dial soap. They no longer do this. They have a foaming eyelash wash that you use before your stylist applies the lashes. It didn't irritate my eyes at all. I actually really like that they want you to wash your lashes daily (after the 48 hour wait period). At the place that i went to before, the glue they used was so harsh that if any water got in my eyes they burned like crazy. Even after the fill, they would hand you a fan to blow your face because it would burn so bad. If I ever cried or got tears in my eyes or used visine, the glue would burn and my eyes would flap shut. it was AWFUL. With the glue at Amazing Lash Studios it never burns when my eyelashes get wet. The prices are reasonable and there are several technicians so you can usually get in pretty easily. I am happy with the prices and the service...and will update if anything changes. :) read more

I've been to amazing lash studio three times, each with the same lash technician. I keep wanting to like her. In fact, I've been told she's one of the better lash techs. My full set appointment was exactly what I was looking for - full and dramatic. The process took 2 hours. Both of my fills have been incredibly disappointing. My lashes look sparse and thin. They are also very uneven. My left eye looks nothing like my right eye. One eye is noticeably longer and fuller. This last time, she even glued several of my lower lashes to my upper lashes!!!!!!! So ridiculous and painful. I think the issue is the lash technicians are only allowed an hour for a fill and that is not enough time to do a decent job. I am very particular and picky. I did some research and asked around and found an awesome lash technician at another place. She spent 3 hours on my fill and they are exactly what I was looking for. She told and showed me several of my lashes were glued together from Amazing Lash Studio. The fill she did was also only $75. Also, the young front desk gal is incredibly standoffish and rude. Wow I've been incredibly delinquent in updating my reviews! Especially since I've been here twice already to get a new set of extensions on my lashes and a refill done! The service here is incredible - everyone has been so friendly and helpful. I had an issue with my new set and they were able to get me in for a quick fix - an eyelash had fallen somewhat off and was poking me in the eye. It took only a couple of minutes to fix and I was out the door. CJ was my stylist both times and she's done an amazing job. And they don't try to upsell you on products - at least it doesn't feel that way to me. They recommend what they believe will help you and have the girls at the front desk explain the products to you. It's really up to you on whether or not you choose to buy them. I have really stubby eyelashes that don't even curl with an eyelash curler, I have to use a spoon to get any curl and crazy amounts of mascara (waterproof!) to even get the dramatic look that I love. The extensions have been wonderful, although the first 48 hours for the lashes to set is rough. No sweat or water otherwise they don't last as long. So far, my favorite perk is the $50/month membership!! Keeps my lashes looking fabulous! read more

I've had my lashes done all over Overland Park and in Springfield, MO at multiple places as well. Serena and Shay at Amazing Lash in OP are the BEST! My lashes always look good and the value is great! I prefer the classic lashes because I like how thick they look, however I've had the 3D and 6D as well and would recommend those to people that don't have as many natural lashes as I do. These two ladies are also super fun to visit with during my visit, however if I just want to take a little nap instead, they are good with that too! Go get your lashes done by Serena or Shay. I had more than two examples but I was so frustrated, I've lost them. I still have extensions on my eye that are on more than one lash but I don't want to risk accidentally pulling out any more of my natural lashes while trying to physically separate them. This is not okay. If you know the basics of lashing, you know you do not ever want to put an extension on two lashes (see the bottom example in my photo). I can't tell you how often this happens and how irritating it feels on my eyes. Not to mention how bad it is for your natural lash growth. The top exampleshows how an extension was put onto another extension. I guess at best you could try and pretend it's a volume set, but I have a classic set and there should not be more than one extension on a single lash. I've been getting refills for a few months here. My first full set was really great but you can tell the quality goes down because usually I can keep my extensions good for 3 weeks and now I am barely lasting 2 weeks before a fill. My lash line always feels irritated and I can tell when I take a brush to the extensions how many places feel caught (I can also physically see when I try to separate my lashes where an extension is caught on 2 lashes). It makes me want to cry. I drive over 60 miles to get my lashes filled every other weekend. I don't know why I do because it's taking time and money and it causes such discomfort ultimately. If I didn't have previous formal lash extension training, I probably wouldn't know better. But I think anyone getting extensions should know the basics. And a classic set should be one extension per lash. I almost always mention to my tech that I am ok with less extensions if I have too many baby lashes because I don't want those weighed down. I'm so discouraged. I came back later in the day after my refill last weekend because some of the extensions were crooked. I felt bad but I am leaving this weekend on a honeymoon and I wanted to start it without crooked extensions. Those were fixed ... but the "caught" extensions remain and I don't know if anyone actually makes the effort to really check. The worst part is they're on my smaller lashes, which are a little more fragile. I can't separate them myself and clearly sometimes they'll just all pull off when I am trying to gently rub them (it creates an "itchy" feeling when your natural lashes are stunted from growing out properly because the ends are both glued to one extension). I'm sad. Be careful. read more

The people at the salon were nice enough. I haven't been, but once so I cant really say much on customer service or comment on experience of continually going every TWO weeks (as recommended). I will, however say, I definitely won't put myself in the position to have that experience because my lashes started falling out the next day, even when I followed every after care instruction to the T. I was not about to NOT follow the directions with the money that i spent and have it be a waste. So, with that said... over the past 5 days since my initial application appt, they continue to fall out. I teach during the day and I can't tell you how many times I had to stop teaching because another damn eyelash extension was stuck in my eyeball. I'm pretty disappointed. They looked great immediately after being done, now they just look like I have cut out my lashes in certain spots and other spots they are extremely long. I'm sure it would be blamed on me and be told I didn't do something correctly in caring for them if I shared my experience with them... it's easier to just not go back and save the money. I can just as easily use fake eyelash strips when I desire the look... in fact, my fake strip eyelashes look a lot more flattering than these extensions do... NOT very impressed! read more

Let me tell you about my current experience: This location is SHADY! I've been a customer here for over 3 years. Never would I have imagined that I would be told I needed a SUBPOENA in order to have a copy of my contract. This after being told there is wording in my contract that specifically states I MUST be seen within 3 weeks of my last fill or it will be considered a full set. Guess what--there isn't. Which I already knew this. I've had my membership for over 3 years now and have always been in for a fill every 4 weeks. Do you think they'd allow it to go this long? Nope, me either. I do not want to have to pay for an additional fill out-of-pocket if it is not necessary. My tech walks me to the desk after every.single.appointment. and tells the girls to schedule me for 4 weeks. Pretty sure she would be the one to know what I need. Also, I am not aware of another business that does not give out the names of their managers yet all their staff names are used. Anytime they call you or you call into the salon--their names are used. I've tried to speak to someone about my issue and have repeatedly been asked to cancel my membership. As a business owner, I would think you'd want to keep my business but the staff in this location is simply trying to get me to cancel. If you ask questions then you're going to be asked to cancel. It's as simple as that. Consider yourself warned! Call any other location in this area and you'll be able to tell the difference simply by the people answering the phones. read more

While the results are not as long lasting as touted, they are willing to provide the necessary corrections to ensure customer satisfaction. I went to amazing lash for about a year for my lashes. I made the decision to stop going due to limited time because of my job and COVID. I called to cancel my membership and was told that they would have a manager draw up the papers and that I would need to go in and sign some paperwork and that I would be notified when the papers were ready. I waited for a call for a couple days, still no call. I then noticed that I was still charged for my membership, even though I had requested to keep my account frozen until I had cancelled my membership. I called and let them know that I was charged and requested a refund. They said they weren't "sure" if I could have my money back for a service that I'm not using or going to use anymore. Still waiting for my call from the manager to sign paperwork and am disgusted that a refund wouldn't be ensured right off the bat. read more

Let me first state, that I was a member/client of this lash spa for the last 8 months, and I absolutely loved it --- at first. Most all of the aestheticians are licensed to do lashes, and do really good work. The problem with this place, is the management. That's why in the last 8 months, not ONE single girl, in the front office or back doing lashes is still with the company. Their turnover is terrible! Now I know why. Last week, I tried for 3 days to get an appointment. I called 4x, left 2 voicemails, and then got online and used the "Book an Appt" tool. Never heard back. Finally on Tuesday, August 1st, I called again and got a live person. She said that they had time no available appts the next day, or the day after. I told her I had called and tried online, etc. She told me that they had time in 30 minutes, I told her, "I have my niece with me, and I live up north, if we leave right now, I will be 10-15 minutes late." She said, okay let me ask the lash tech and see if that's okay. She put me on hold, then got back on the line, all the while hearing me speak back and forth with my 4 year old niece, and then said, "No problem, we'll see you at 2 or 2:15, just as soon as you can get here." Awesome. I drove 45 minutes to Overland Park, just to be told immediately that my niece cannot come in with me because due to medical laws, they cannot have kids in the back rooms. I explained to them that I told the girl I had her with me, and she even heard me with her on the phone. I then explained to them that my sister, her mother, is an aesthetician/spa manager and since she was little she's been watching movies on her Kindle during hour long facials, etc. My niece was being very cute and sweet, saying, "Oh they say no kids allowed Aunt Toni? You can't leave me by myself." In which, I laughed and picked her up. I said, "We just drove almost an hour, I've gotta take her to the bathroom, see what you can do to rectify the miscommunication and I'll be right back." The manager looked at me responded, "Well don't worry we won't charge you anything for today." In which I said, "Well of course you won't, you're not providing a service after a client made a two hour round trip, in which I fully communicated I had my niece with me. If anything you should be compensating me for my time and travel." We came back from the bathroom and she offered me the potential of a free refill for one time when I have already used my Member refill, and that was totally fair I told her. She said she had to check with her Director and get back to me. She called an hour later, and informed me that due to the miscommunication, it appears I am not a good fit for their studio, and that they had CANCELLED MY MEMBERSHIP. NO APOLOGY. I was again calm, and said, "I have been in management for a very long time, pleasing clients at a very high level. Do you know how much more it is acquire a new client, than to retain one?" She said, it didn't matter and I was cancelled. WOW. Talk about the worst form of disrespect for someone else's situation. Not to mention, my sister is in her industry, I would NEVER ever disrespect my sister's industry, and would never have lost my temper or gotten upset in front of my little niece. I stayed calm and informed them that I was transparent on the phone when I booked the appt less than an hour ago. I am going to submit this to Channel 41 news, the BBB, Google, Facebook, my 50,000 Twitter followers, and the list goes on. I am going to start this off by saying both my mom and I have had appointments here, all of our experiences deserve zero stars but I had to put one because that was the lowest it would let me go. The two paragraphs following this one is a review from my mom (she does not have a yelp account so it is coming from mine) and the ones following those are mine The first time appointment she had with them was for a fill. She had been getting her lashes done at the Destin Florida location previously (great, great location would highly recommend if you are ever in the area.) Three days after the fill it looked like she was already due for another one. The lashes that were still attached were barely hanging on and drooping off of the lid/lash area. The second appointment she had was for a removal because of how horribly the first appointment had gone. The "lash tech" preformed a removal by LITERALLY TAKING TWEEZERS AND RIPPING THE EYELASHES (extension and natural lash) OFF OF THE EYELID. I say lash tech in quotes because if you had any educational background on lashes you know this is NEVER how lashes should be removed (my mom was unaware that they are suppose to use a dissolving solution until she called me after the appointment.) My mom walked out with about a third of the natural lashes she walked in with. Absolutely horrible experience!!! I would never recommend anyone get their lashes done here. My first and only experience with this location was ATROCIOUS. I would like to start off my saying that I take very good care of my lashes, previous lash techs have told me this. I went in for a routine fill, two weeks after the previous one. As I am laying down the lash tech who is master stylist Natalie, tells me we have to take them all off and put a new set on but that she cannot put the new ones on so she just has to take them off and I leave with no lashes. I am not exaggerating when I tell you absolutely no one else I have talked to, all have had lashes for YEARS, has had to take their lashes off. A couple of the people I asked about this do lashes for others themselves and said this is not something that is done and it is a scam they tell you so that you have to pay more which means more tip for them. Anyway, I hesitantly agree and she begins removing them. During this process the front desk employee is coming in and out of the room chatting it up with the stylist as if they are at a happy hour, not at an appointment. When it comes time to wash the dissolvent from the lashes she is blindly leading me around the studio, pulling me by one of my arms, to go to a sink where I am left to scrub at my lashes by myself and hope for the best. After this experience I call and ask to talk to a manager about the whole process. This is on a Thursday and Amber says she will call me back Monday or Tuesday. She calls me back and talks to me in the most demeaning way. I have not been spoken to this way ever, let alone by a manager. She says there's nothing she can do and I ask if I could get a gift card for a new set or a credit on my account because I am a member. She says she will check and call me back on the following Monday or Tuesday. Well, that was a dozen "Monday or Tuesdays" ago and I have yet to receive a call back, even after I had continued to call for weeks after that. HORRIBLE stylists, HORRIBLE management. I would have no lash extensions before I made an appointment here ever again. Needles to say my mom and I both canceled our memberships, my mom even left with four fills left on her account because she decided she would rather pay to go elsewhere than use the credits she has there. read more

It's nice to see the smiling faces when I walk in and whenever I call they are very quick to help adjust my appointment or help with anything I need. The location is also geographically very convenient. I have not had a bad service ever. I love my lashes. The facility is so clean, which is very important to me. I know they take pride in maintaining their salon, and they also take care to keep all the utensils and beds sterile and clean. Worst eyelash extensions ever. I have been getting extensions for quite a while and was happy with them. However, we all know it's rather costly. Saw this place and thought I would give them a try as they were cheaper than my previous salon. My previous extensions lasted well into the two week mark, I am not even a full week in and I have lost over half of the extensions. I am well aware of how to care for them as I have had them now for some time, so I know it's not my hygiene that's the problem. Will never go back. I had my first, wonderful experience with lash extensions and Amazing Lash Studio Overland Park on Wednesday, May 24. My appointment was at 9am. I arrived at the studio at 8:45am. After filling out some forms, I was escorted back to a private room by Tori, who explained the entire process before helping me select the right lashes for my desired look. (I chose the natural lash style, as it was my first experience and I don't typically do a lot to my eyes on a daily basis) I was then told to wash my eyes, with oil-free face wash that was provided in the restroom, to remove any residue that might cause the lashes to not adhere to my original lash line. After washing my eyes, I was to lay on the massage table in Tori's room and we began the process. Tori was very considerate and asked numerous times if I was comfortable and to let her know if I was uncomfortable at any time. I was so comfortable that I actually dozed off a couple times, which is unlike me with a bright light shining in my face. Upon completing my lash extension application, I was provided with the Aftercare & Maintenance pamphlet that told me what to do with my "new eyes", so to speak, and explained how important the first 48 hours are to aid in true total adhesion of the lash extensions are to my natural lashes. The entire process took about an hour and a half. I was told to expect to come in for a refill, within 2-4 weeks from application, which varies by person. Now, 4 days after application, I still love looking in the mirror and admiring my new lashes/new look. I've actually had several people, familiar to me or not, comment on my new lashes.
