Worst eyelash extensions ever. I have been getting extensions for quite a while and was happy with them. However, we all know it's rather costly. Saw this place and thought I would give them a try as they were cheaper than my previous salon. My previous extensions lasted well into the two week mark, I am not even a full week in and I have lost over half of the extensions. I am well aware of how to care for them as I have had them now for some time, so I know it's not my hygiene that's the problem. Will never go back. I had my first, wonderful experience with lash extensions and Amazing Lash Studio Overland Park on Wednesday, May 24. My appointment was at 9am. I arrived at the studio at 8:45am. After filling out some forms, I was escorted back to a private room by Tori, who explained the entire process before helping me select the right lashes for my desired look. (I chose the natural lash style, as it was my first experience and I don't typically do a lot to my eyes on a daily basis) I was then told to wash my eyes, with oil-free face wash that was provided in the restroom, to remove any residue that might cause the lashes to not adhere to my original lash line. After washing my eyes, I was to lay on the massage table in Tori's room and we began the process. Tori was very considerate and asked numerous times if I was comfortable and to let her know if I was uncomfortable at any time. I was so comfortable that I actually dozed off a couple times, which is unlike me with a bright light shining in my face. Upon completing my lash extension application, I was provided with the Aftercare & Maintenance pamphlet that told me what to do with my "new eyes", so to speak, and explained how important the first 48 hours are to aid in true total adhesion of the lash extensions are to my natural lashes. The entire process took about an hour and a half. I was told to expect to come in for a refill, within 2-4 weeks from application, which varies by person. Now, 4 days after application, I still love looking in the mirror and admiring my new lashes/new look. I've actually had several people, familiar to me or not, comment on my new lashes. Never again. This place got so much glue in my eye during lash extension application that half of my eye was red and the other half was white (my eye looked like an actual poke ball). I was told the burning in my eye was normal from the fumes of the glue but she clearly used too much and got it in my eye. Avoid this place! read more

I wish I would have done my homework and read some of these reviews. I also wanted the gorgeous look and was disappointed. You discuss this with the tech but I guess they just put on whatever they want. They really don't look much different then when I use a elongating mascara. They are not thick. I also read online and in the advertising in the store that the lashes lasted 4-8 weeks. They tell you its 2-4 weeks . Special price 79.99 for a full set and then 2 weeks later a fill for 59, Then you are automatically billed for a fill each month at 59. so if the advertising was correct and the lashes lasted 4-8 weeks, they are getting you to do the fills before you need them. Oh I also did not like washing my eyes with the soap in the bathroom. I use Lancôme and Nutrigena and had washed all my makeup off before I went. My technician was very sweet but overall I do not think I want lash extentions. read more

First off, they make you wash your face with Dial soap when you get there. Who washes their face with hand soap?? Secondly, when I was paying for my lashes, I asked the receptionist to add 25% gratuity. Instead she added $25. I didn't notice until I looked at my receipt the next day. I called to explain the situation and the receptionist told me she would contact the area manager who would give me a call. I waited a week and heard nothing. Called back and they told me they needed to notify corporate before I could be refunded. It's now been over 3 weeks and I still have not been refunded. Absolutely ridiculous!! If I could give this location a o star I would, I started my eyelash journey at this Amazing Lash (Overland Park, Ks) location. Of course the first experience was a good one and to get the perks of the discounts I'm convinced to sign a contract which from there all services went down hill. My lashes barely lasted 2 weeks sometime 1 week, my fill in appts were only 30 mins long when they should have been at least an hour, I've had to go in after a week to get a fill and pay an additional $40 after already paying $100. I decided this location/ place was not for to continue, I asked when was my contract up, this was in March 2022, the front desk told me it was up as of March, I decided April was going to be my last and said I wanted to cancel. The front desk girl explained it needed to be in writing via email so I did so. Then I get a phone call a few weeks later saying April is indeed my last month and the girl was mistaken, I explained I have already gone somewhere else I do not need services, she said the credit was still going to be taken out of my acct, I'm pissed because I inquired for this reason just to be told something different. I asked could my credited transferred to my mother's acct and was told yes it could. I even received a call back stating it was transferred, my mother went to her appt while visiting kc (at a different location) and was told there was no credit on her acct so of course she has to pay so I call and they girl who answered was very understanding and says it was not okay and explained she sees where the credit was taken from my card, she sees it was taken from my acct but does not know where it went and a supervisor would need to call me on Monday, Here it is Friday (1 week later) no call from anyone. I call Amazing Lash and I ask for the supervisor, she says she is in a meeting, I explain the situation and the girl immediately gets rude and says the credit is now on my mother's acct and since she is a member there is nothing more they can do, I continue to ask to speak to a supervisor, she hangs up on me. I then call back to get her name, I am getting the run around, finally one of the girls (Alishia) was nice and gave me all names of everyone working up front since we are not sure who hung upon me ( Kim- Assistant Director or Elise). I am disbelief how customer service has gone down hill. And to top it all off, my mother called her Amazing Lash studio she foes too and guess what- there is no credit so just another lie from this location. Very friendly front desk staff! Was highly recommended by a co-worker. Received my first full set of lashes from Kristin. My recommended style was called "Gorgeous" I'm usually not the type to be still for very long, but the overall experience was well worth it! They educated me on how to care for my lashes, and explained my lash shed cycle. Knowing me I would be the one asking why are they coming off? Lol! I'm a make up junkie. Even though there's no need to wear mascara anymore, they do have their own water based mascara. I purchased mascara, cleanser and their dual ended semi permanent liquid liner. Very affordable maintenance program. I'm used to spending $300.00 a month. I was excited that my bill can be only between 59.99- $130 a month not including tips. I'm scheduled to get my lashes filled every two weeks for the next two months to make sure I can get in since they book up fast. Thanks Amazing Lash for making my morning beauty rituals easier! I was very satisfied until I was overcharged MORE THAN ONCE! Then explained to the manager that I didn't want to be a customer any more due to this and cancelled my appointment. She said I wouldn't be charged for my appt then an hour later charged me 59 dollars. I called again and apparently she wasn't available, got a call back a couple hours later she "came back in" then said she didn't know why she charged me, oops, and that it couldn't be refunded. She charged me because she was mad. Horrible customer service from Sasha! Lost me as a customer for life and I will definitely tell others. Sad part is I loved going there. read more

I had the worst experience with this lash studio today. I had an appointment with Kaylee for a full set of lashes. When she was finished and I looked in the mirror, I couldn't tell that anything was done. It was laughable that she thought she did a good job. Seriously, it must have been her first day. I got two hours of commercial for their membership plan...trying to trick me into falling for it. This is the most horrific business I have ever come into contact with in my entire life. I was told it would be $80 for the full set and then it all of a sudden jumped to $145. Unbelievable. I had to leave there and go to another lash studio to get them fixed. Giving this location a 3 star only because the front desk doesn't have it together. Put on hold for 20 minutes to ask a simple question. When I finally got ahold of someone they were not apologetic in any way just stated they "had to sign up a membership"- the last time I was in I was not checked out properly and got a call several days later stating I was not checked out and owed money. Bummer. I got my first full set of lashes at the intro price and they were great! Absolutely loved them and they seemed to hold up great. I decided to go back for a fill two weeks later and everything seemed to go well again. The second set only lasted barely a week before they started completely falling out. I have maybe 2-5 extensions left on each eye. I called to let them know and they offered to give me the intro price for another full set. They also wanted to push membership. Not willing to commit to a membership if they don't last and the only solution is to continue paying "discounted" rates for more. I really loved my lashes and was interested in continuing to get them ...but I will try another place that hopefully has a better quality of product. read more

The studio itself is beautiful and inviting and the staff is bubbly and excited to make sure you feel comfortable at all times. My eye lash extensions have cut back my beauty routine in the morning by 20 min and I seriously feel awesome all day about my eyes. So this was my first time ever getting lash extensions and the worst experience ever . First off I was asked to volunteer for the lashes for training as a deal. Keep in mind I never met the girl that invited me till that day. When I get there the place is super nice inside so I was thinking it wA going to be a very awesome experience. Manager in the front asked me which set I would like out of the 4 styles and I picked. The girl who did my lashes was super nice and kept telling me what she was doing and asking me if I was ok and if I felt any pain. So she was wonderful but as they are training a lady, I could not see because my eyelids were taped closed, kept being extremely over bearing and breathing down the girls neck who was working on me, for about 20 minutes this went on with her treating her like a child and also not letting her do the lashes I chose that the manager approved in the front! The last straw was the unknown lady snatching the tweezers out of her hand almost poking me in my eye! Then the girl who was doing my lashes asked the lady to please stop and she made her take her gloves off and meet her in the office! Meanwhile making her leave me sitting there for another 20 minutes unable to see with my eyes taped up. Then once the girl came back to finish she was so flustered and rushed my lashes and the were not how they were supposed to look and it's been a few days and they are falling out. Listening to what was happening I can not blame the girl who did it but the company I do blame for such unprofessional behavior in front a client. I've been going here for almost 2 years and (obviously) love it. When referred by a friend, I was still hesitant because I'm just not a fan of 'maintenance' routines, like nails etc. These lashes make such a difference, I was hooked after the first visit and immediately signed up for the membership. This studio is absolutely stunning upon arrival. The front desk employees are very warm and welcoming! They answered all of my questions and made sure I was taken care of. The lash stylists are amazing!!! All of them have a good understanding of eyelash application and make sure you are comfortable. My stylist even asked me questions to really get to know me to create a deeper connection. That made me feel really good about being there. I NEVER felt like a waste of time or another tip in their pocket. They were very personable and that really added to my experience. I have been getting my lashes done for about a year and i can honestly say that this is reasonably priced and very clean! Also, my lashes don't usually need to be refilled before a month so that makes maintenance a million times easier. I would recommend this company to any/everyone! I have had many stylist and each has done an amazing job and has always met my needs and different looks. Maddie does an AMAZING job with my lashes! I've had her and another stylist and they were both skilled and professional. I love how full my lashes look even without makeup. I've had lash extensions before from another salon, but they obviously were not done correctly because they shed horribly and irritated my eyes. Not these! The lash extensions do take caring after (using the right eye cleanser, brushing them out, getting filled every 2 weeks, etc) so I wouldn't recommend them if you're not willing to maintain them. For the most part I don't even feel them on my eyes. Scheduling is easy and they send plenty of reminders so you don't forget your appointment. The only reason I deducted a star is because customer service from the front desk team can be spotty. Sometimes they're very friendly and helpful, and other times seem irritated and stressed out, like you're annoying them. Overall though, I love having my lashes and the attention to detail Maddie gives is impeccable. read more

An hour before my appointment- when I was already out by their shop, they called me and canceled because they realized they wouldn't have anyone there to do my lashes. The Amazing Lash Studio is NOT so amazing after all. I have had lash extensions for 3 years and I love them. I can't image not having them. I never have to wear makeup anymore and I feel like I look great. I have gone to the same person for my lashes for the past two years however I have had to get fills in LA, Chicago and a few other cities when I travel for work. So I feel like I have a pretty good idea of what a good experience should be. My normal stylish was on vacation and I needed a fill so I started looking around the internet and stumbled upon the Amazing Lash Studio and I was so excited. I made an appointment took off the remaining lashes that I still had on because they said that they wouldn't give me a fill I had to get a full set. (That should have been my first red flag) When I got there the place looked just like it did in the pictures very nice, clean and inviting so again, I was excited. Then the girl who checked me in took me back to the bathroom and told me I had to wash my face with dial soap twice before I could get my lashes put on. I explained to her that I just washed my face before I got there and she said that it was their policy everyone had to do this or they couldn't get their lashes done. Now, call me crazy, but I don't know very many women who spend money on their skin care who want to wash their face with dial soap. This was so weird and so out of the ordinary from my usual experiences. But I did it because I wanted to get the full experience there, maybe they knew something I didn't. After I did that she lead me into a room where I meet my stylist, she was a sweet girl. I told her exactly what I wanted, thick long lashes. Just like what they call the "gorgeous" look. I thought I was pretty straight forward since there were pictures on the wall with the look I wanted. Please keep in mind that the person I usually go to takes 30-45 minutes to do fills and 45-60 minutes for a full set. But not at the Amazing Lash Studio, it took way longer....2 hours later and I am finally done. My eyes still stinging from the glue and I ask for the fan (I've never been to a place that doesn't give you a fan to help the stinging at the end.) They don't do fans there. So I sit up and look in the mirror on the wall (no hand held mirrors either) and was so very disappointed. My lashes were thin and sparse and nothing at all like what I am used to or what I asked for. She could tell that I wasn't thrilled with the results and told me that I didn't have enough lashes and she did the best she could bla bla bla...... Then I noticed some black glue on my eyelid and I pointed it out. She had me lay back down and took a q-tip and rubbed it off pretty aggressively. That eye has been bothering me ever since I walked out of there. It feels like she might have scratched my eyeball or something. Whatever it is I have been putting eyedrops in all night and now have a massive headache from it. And I don't buy they whole "I don't have enough lashes. I just had my lashes done less then 2 weeks before this appointment and there wasn't any problems nor have there ever been any problems with that in the three years I have been getting lashes. Anyway, when I went to the front desk to pay I noticed the receptionist had pretty long lashes, not thick but at least long and I mentioned that I requested that look but didn't get it. She said that it was their policy not to put long lashes on someone for the first time because they didn't know if their lashes could hold them (that would have been nice to know up front when I first got there). But wait a minute, didn't I tell you that I have had lashes for 3 years and they do great. I guess my point to this story is that this place seems very new with very young inexperienced lash stylists who really don't know what they are doing. If you want lashes find someone who knows what they are doing, doesn't make you wash your face with a hand cleaner and can do it in a reasonable amount of time. Yes, the Amazing Lash Studio has a very pretty store front but I'd rather go to a dump and walk out with beautiful lashes then spend a lot of money and a lot of time and walk out feeling like I got lashes from someone still in school who was practicing on me. But I do want to clarify that my stylist was very sweet and seemed to work very hard to do her best. I just expected way more than her best. read more

I have been relentlessly called about scheduling an appointment that I have already called in to tell them wouldn't work with my schedule. Receiving multiple calls during my work day and then again later at dinner time is rude and harassing. I called in today to explain that I needed these calls to stop and would call them when I needed to schedule an appointment and had a very snotty young girl just hang up on me. I am now awaiting a call from the manager of this business to call me back so that I can cancel my subscription. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I am so upset with this place . There is no communication with staff. They charged me double multiple times throughout the month and the manager did nothing about it . Didn't even apologize . I can never get the same stylist even if I find one I like . So I settle for another person , then my lashes don't even last 2 weeks because they are a new stylist. Multiple times my lashes peeled off within 3 days so I called and they told me I have to call in earlier so they charged me the FULL amount to get them done even though it was their fault . I canceled my membership and I signed a paper they called me 3 times within 2 hours the next day saying I need to send an email to cancel . Which makes NO SENSE because I signed a paper in PERSON. My friend cancelled a week before me and didn't need to send an email so why do I need to ?! They said they needed proof that I was moving further away to cancel my membership so I wasn't "lying " to them . How UNPROFESSIONAL is that . The membership is a lie there is no "free" refill. I am not a person to write reviews, but I felt I was treated so unprofessional yesterday that I had to. I had a 3 p.m. appointment time and was called by Amazing Lash at 10:35. They told me I would have to move my appt. to 12:00 or reschedule for sometime after next Tuesday, due to an ill employee. I accepted the 12:00 appt. time. I rearranged my schedule and drove 1.25 hours to amazing lash from the small rural town in which I live. When I got there, I was then told I would have to reschedule because I had my 8.5 year old daughter with me. I explained to them I had no other choice because they were the ones that rescheduled my appt. The girl at the front desk said it is their policy for no children. I can understand this policy, but Amazing Lash inconvenienced me, by moving my appt time, especially with New Year's Eve a couple days away. I asked if my daughter could just sit on the floor in the room - the girl said no that the bonding agent they use is medical grade and she couldn't be in there. I am an RN and a bonding agent used on my eyelids is sure safe enough for my daughter to sit on the floor in the room for. She is almost 9 years old - not a toddler. I cancelled my membership and I will be sure to let all of my co-workers, friends, and family to know of my experience. I left the facility feeling very angry, violated, and almost degraded by this treatment. They wasted my time, money, and fuel. I checked my membership paperwork when I returned home and there is no mention of child attendance in the contract. I have never brought my daughter to an appt before, nor did I intend to on Friday. They inconvenienced me and could not make one exception. I work in a doctor's office and the doctor I work for goes above and beyond to take care of and accommodate his patients. If I treated my patients like this I would not have a job. I made a call to another salon for lashes and was able to get in later that afternoon for a consult, and bring my daughter!!! read more

I wish I had better things to say Because the salon is very nice and every single employee is so friendly and the experience there was very relaxing, but the synthetic lashes used at amazing lash studio are horrible. I asked for the "natural" eyelashes to enhance my already long, but thin and light colored natural eyelashes but nothing about the eyelashes extensions were natural at all. The fake lashes were heavy and cheap looking. It honestly just looked like I had piled on layers and layers of mascara. I have sensitive skin and I found the lashes to be really uncomfortable and very itchy. The dial foaming hand soap that is recommended for cleaning was also very irritating for my skin, it made it red and raw. The synthetic extensions left my natural eyelashes extremely damaged to the point where there were bald spots and all of my long lashes were short. I was really excited to get eyelash extensions and I was really let down. read more
