This is an update and based on the customer service I've received after my last review. I was contacted by the manager here which I was surprised that she did. she called me up and apologized for my experience there and said she wanted to give this location a chance to make it up with a complimentary set. I appreciated that she took the time to call without asking me to remove my review. I went back and saw Lisa who I had before and in my opinion is the best at how she treats you from the time you walk in to after she finishes your lashes. Besides the fact that she does an amazing job with your lashes, she actually super friendly and great interpersonal skills. I am a customer service shopper so I can appreciate feeling like I'm being taken care of 100% when I'm getting a service. My lashes this time came out perfect and she did just what I asked. LONG REVIEW! READ UNTIL THE END! I went to Amazing Lash Studio in Westfield 3 weeks ago to get lash extensions for the first time ever. I was sick of putting on falsies every day. I'll have to admit that I was a bit hesitant after reading some of the reviews on here about lashes falling out right away but I decided to give it a go. I am SO GLAD that I did! First, let me start by saying that the studio is stunning and immaculate. I was greeted by the owner, Dana, who was super sweet and welcoming. I filled out some paperwork and met my lash technician. She answered all of my questions and we decided on the lash style that would best suit my face and my lifestyle. I am the Franchise Manager for iLoveKickboxing in Watchung and I am constantly working out and sweating so I was concerned that my lashes wouldn't last. I also have smaller eyes and wanted something that would open my eyes up. I also wanted something more natural because I work in a kickboxing studio. We decided to go with the Gorgeous style in 6D. I'm not sure what size, but we decided on what would be best for my lashes to hold without causing damage to my natural lashes or risking them being to heavy and falling out. The process was pretty simple. I brought some headphones and listened to an audiobook. When we were finished, my lash tech gave me all of the details on how to care for my lashes. She suggested some products and I purchased the Lash Foaming Cleanser and the Lash Coating (this package also came with the Lash Spoolie but I also purchased some on Amazon as well). My lashes looked fabulous! I signed up for a membership to have them filled twice a week because of my active lifestyle. I am posting this (and attaching a photo) for anyone who is hesitant to visit Amazing Lash Studio in Westfield after reading some negative reviews. 3 weeks later, my lashes STILL look great! I followed all of the instructions my lash tech gave me. I didn't get them wet for 48 hours. I have been very diligent in washing them daily and brushing them out with a clean spoolie a few times a day. I switched to oil free makeup wipes and eyeliner and very gently remove my makeup. I use cold water to wash my lashes. 3 WEEKS LATER AND AMAZING RETENTION!! Like I said, I work out and sweat multiple times daily. My point is this: Your lashes are an INVESTMENT. They require proper care. If you follow the directions and take care of your lashes the way they are supposed to be taken care of, they will last much longer. I would imagine that the people who wrote negative reviews weren't caring for their lashes properly. Protect your investment and take care of those bad boys! The worst experience for my own money!!! I did a lash lift procedure and it was horrible. Im familiar with it and have done it multiple times but not in this place. The lady who did it after I told her that I can't see any lifting only said - oh sorry, go talk to someone on the front. Really?? That's what you call customer service??? Receptionist after talking to her manager gave me $20 off. And MANAGER didn't even came out to talk to me. Another sign of a horrible attitude to your customers. I received a lash lift that wasn't much of a lift. I choose to go to the studio once I saw the good reviews. I had a late appointment and I loved the tech. She was very friendly. She made me feel very comfortable. Unfortunately because of the dim lighting I wasn't really able to see that my lashes weren't really lifted. I wanted the extra curl because I have very thick and straight lashes. I'm very dissatisfied and I won't be recommending this place to any of my peers. Great location (convenient parking in the rear - $0.50/hour) and the shop itself is very clean Everyone I encountered was professional and knowledgeable - I watched / listened as the receptionists interacted with other clients. My lash professional was Jennifer. She is very talented and surprisingly quick, while still thorough. She listened to how I wanted my lashes, made suggestions, then laid me down and got to work. Once she was done, she explained aftercare and walked me back up to reception to show me some maintenance products. My experience today at the lash studio was indeed amazing . I was a demo for a lash lift service they are introducing into the shop and Conchitta was my lash girl! She was bubbly and polite and walked me threw everything . They had we wash my eyes before she arrived so I was clean of oils and filled out the paperwork an I was all set! The process took 1 hour 30 min exactly ! Started at 1 and finished at 230 on the dot ! The service included taping down my lower lash and also top crease of my eyelid and they applied some plastic soft peacekeeping the eye life and lifted my lash with the adhesive. The service does not hurt and it does not burn or itch just get ready to take a nap or hold ur eyes closed tight the whole time because the solution is harmful to ur eye if u get anything in it ! The solution does smell pretty bad I do agree but doesn't last long and u don't go home smelling like it ! My lashes in the end lifted beautifully and I love my lashes ! I felt and could see a huge difference ! I recommend everyone try this service if u have straight lashes like me or long lashes that need a lift without extensions ! I give this place a 5 the service is 109$ and last 6-8 weeks I believe with a membership package of 180$ also they have available as well! 5 stars from me ! read more

I had my lashes done here on Monday by Amanda and it was a pleasant experience. Amanda was extremely sweet and a very talented artist. The space is also extremely clean. They also have a spinner at checkout for you to score discounts, product, etc. However I had a few upsets :( As a client who loves long, full lashes, I was disappointed the longest lash they had available across the board was a 15 as I usually like 17s and sometimes 18s depending on the look I'm going for. Because of the curl of the lash, it also makes my lashes appear even shorter. It also concerns me that I had so much fall out already considering the fact that I got a 6D set which can start to have gaps if they fall out. I was happy though that Amanda did try her best and took her time to make my lashes look their best. Would I return? Maybe .. if they got longer lashes then for sure :) read more

Kudos to Amazing Lash Studio for having a clean facility and a friendly staff. Unfortunately this is where the compliments end for me. Amazing Lash Studio is truly a scam. I've got there multiple times, have seen multiple stylists, and purchased the lash brush and cleaning foam and my lashes never lasted more than a week. After I was told that in order for my lashes to last more than a week I would have to purchase a $40 mascara which would work to "re activate" they glue, I decided to try another Lure Lash. Surprise surprise when I asked about lash aftercare, I was told all I needed to do was wash with a bit of water on my finger and brush with the brush THE SALON SUPPLIED. There was no need to buy an $18 brush or $18 cleanser. I am happy to say my lashes look full and intact two weeks later without the use of $80 in products on top of a $80 fee for a full set. Beautiful facility (reminds me of European wax center) and friendly staff as others have mentioned. However, for almost $100 I wasn't 100% happy with the results. This is nothing against the technician who did them (she was very sweet) but I felt like a few more lashes could have been placed. My lashes looked patchy when she was done. I pointed it out to her and she told me that a few of my lashes were weaker and would have broken off if she put lashes on them which I felt could have been addressed before we started that way I could have decided whether or not I wanted to go through with the process. After we finished she brought me out to the waiting area and tried to get me to buy aftercare products. I've gotten my lashes done plenty of times before and never needed aftercare which makes me wonder about the quality of the lashes. This business is a scam. My lashes never lasted more than a few days so I had to go weekly for 3 months. I've spent a lot of money on their useless scam products and services only to be told it's the glue and humidity. They will still expect to charge a customer for cancellation although the product is of poor quality and doesn't last like it's falsely advertised. I got volume lashes done here. It didn't look like volume at all. I gave them a bad review. The manager asked me to come in again for a complimentary trial. I was satisfied second time with the service because it was a different stylist. I went again for a full volume set and I wasn't satisfied because the stylist told me I don't have enough lashes to get the full look. The manager again asked me to come in for a complimentary upgrade in 2 days, this was nice of her. However, I couldn't because I left for a 1.5 week long vacation. I noticed a lot of my natural lashes falling in clumps. It seems like the artist glued multiple real lashes with multiple false lashes. I lost a lot of my own lashes. I booked an appointment and I told the manager that Becca the stylist glued my lashes together which led to damage. She refused to believe me and she accused me of going some where else to get my lashes done. Moral of the story is all the stylists in this location have limited experience. They hurt your eyes when they are doing refill. I have been to many good lash places nothing should be hurting your eyes. The lash quality is horrible. Please save your money and go somewhere else. BTW I was told by the manager that no one ever complained about lashes clumped together and if you just look at the reviews you will find many customers complained about lashes clumped together and damaging natural lashes. I have no intention on getting free service done but I am not going to pay 200 dollars for damaging my natural lashes and not getting the volume I want. These artists in this location have no idea what they are doing. Please do not fall for this place the way both myself and a good friend did. I have been a customer here for almost an entire year and I can say time and time again I have tried to give this place a chance and have never been satisfied. This is about to be a LONG review so bear with me.... Some of the things they DON'T TELL YOU, and I have learned through experience and employee testimonial: 1. The glue is poor quality and purposely made to only last two weeks, no matter how diligent and careful you are with your lashes. 2. The products are pushed on you because stylists are encouraged to sell them for a commission. Don't buy them. They don't work, and other products such as the mascara wands, and lint free cloths can be purchased from Amazon for a fraction of the price. 3. The serum is a waste of money and others which are cheaper are extension safe and also quite effective. One of these is Rapidlash which you can buy from CVS readily. (The stylists tell you only their serum works) 4.THE MEMBERSHIP IS A MONEY PIT. They do not explain the terms of the membership to you when you sign up for it. But I will highlight some key points: you MUST get at least one fill a month (either way they charge you for a fill), if you want to cancel you must show up to do so, if you DO cancel they will STILL charge you for the next month's service even though you are not receiving it. If you have one fill a month, and come more than once that month they do not upgrade you to two fills to save you money and do not ask if you'd like to do so. 5. The lashes they picture are NOT the lashes you will leave with. They start you off on the thinnest and shortest they can and you are only allowed to incrementally increase length and size each visit because of company rules. They tell you it is for lash health but it is NOT. If you come in with healthy, thick lashes which can accommodate for example a 16 mm length and .3 mm thickness-and lash stylist will give you that. But here they force you to come back over and over until you reach that point. Yet you still pay for the services. Volume lashes only come very thin and only in 14 mm which they also do not tell you about. They picture much thicker lashes than what you will be given. Lash fullness depends on how many natural lashes you have, but you will not leave with anything worth near being $69 until you have been there for closer to a year, and they still are not as pictured. 6. This may be the most important. The damage. I have always had the healthiest lashes ever. I have always used serums, castor oil and taken biotin supplements to make sure they stay healthy(everyday). I used to wear falsies everyday and never suffered an ounce of damage. Suddenly, with meticulous care and maintenance and use of serums and my usual biotin supplements, my lashes have suffered immensely. I have noticed that I have two extensions which are glued together many times, which causes tension and lash thinning. I have also noticed that my lashes have had lots of breakage and have been told that I MUST purchase their serum as a result and cannot have extensions placed on the lashes that are damaged. I know for a fact that I did not cause this damage. Lashes are so important to me and I am so careful with mine. It is due to inexperience and lack of training the stylists receive. When you have a good lash technician, extensions will not cause any damage at all to your natural lashes. Please, please, please do yourself a favor and shop around for lash technicians. I have found a very good one I am planning on switching to once I let my lashes breathe for a while. Some lash techs are actually MUCH cheaper than this place for incredible quality work. And you won't be locked into a membership which is a complete money pit. This just is not worth it. I tried to give them a chance but I've learned through experience and research just how awful this place really is. UPDATE: Here is a photo after removal of remaining lashes from only one eye (most had been gone already not even two weeks later) this shows just how many are bonded to neighboring lashes causing damage to my natural ones. read more

The master stylist I had walked me through the entire process, as it was my first time getting lash extensions. OBSESSED is an understatement. I had a patient of mine suggest trying here and I have contemplated doing eyelash extensions for some time now, so I finally decided to give it a go. I made an appointment, and they fit me in the next day. I had Pilar and she was fantastic. She brought me through the different types of lashes and helped me choose. I ended up going with the gorgeous. It took about an hour and a half for a full set of lashes. She asked me a few times while I was laying there if I was okay and if anything was bothering me (sometimes the glue can sting depending on how sensitive your eyes are) throughout she kept telling me how great they looked and I couldn't believe it when she was done! They looked like I was wearing mascara! My lashes were long, full and beautiful. I was so impressed I signed up for their membership and will be back every month!! read more

I came here on a Thursday Feb 8. Today is Feb 10th and already the lashes in my inner corners are gone. I am loosing multiple lashes as the days go by. The day I got them done I lost about four. Let me start off by saying the employees here are polite and sweet. The actual place is clean and organized. I am a makeup/hair stylist so I was excited to try these for the first time. I'm on day 3 and after taking word for word care for them, half of them have fallen off. The very friendly girl that did them spent way more time on one eye than the other. They got more glue on my new back shirt than my eyelashes. I bought their 2 recommended products, eye lash clearner and mascara that were horrible. The eye lash cleaner was so scented with perfumes one could not bear to put on their eye area. It did not have a simple clean scent. The mascara ran when I was sweating and looked like a clown at a patio party. They claim their sales are final so basically that means they do not stand behind any of their products and who ever heard of that! All of their products bear their name. I always go every three weeks to get my lashes filled, but decided to take them off completely (myself) because the glue started to clump (which im fine w/ it was just time for a new set). My original lash tech was off so I had an appt w/ another tech. She was a nice girl but the session took about 2 and a half hours. She seemed pretty disorganized and frustrated while doing my lashes. I asked the receptionist if she was new, but she told me she wasn't. If she was new I wouldve let it slide, but she wasn't. This morning I woke up w/ redness and irritation on the lower part of my eye. The 1 star is more for the tech then the facility. I can't exactly say what was done but it clear something is different from a year ago, I approve lol I want to give 5 stars but the music choices can be annoying at times (the songs don't flow at all) Frank Sinatra does not transition well into Lil Wayne lol. Everyone was very nice...clean place. When i left...after spending 99$ it took a few days to get use to new lashes. By the end of the first week they were starting to fall off. By the end of the second week half the lashes were off and it looked horrible.uneven even when i started using mascara. Now 6 weeks later there are still a few hanging on. The procedure is pretty standard and the girls are friendly. The fumes from the glue are stronger than most places. HOWEVER, I refuse to recommend this place because although I have gotten extensions before, this is the first time that I walked out with an infection. Normally, with a bad experience, I just stay away, but after nursing an infection for a few days, I think its better that I publicize the fact. I called and asked that I be refunded not only for the services but for the medical expenses (roughly $350) and I was denied. It is a 'coincidence', I was told.
