I have been to quite a few nail places in the area, but when they do my nails, they last forever without chipping! I always get dip on my nails and gel on my toes. It's really nice in there and they have a huge color selection. The only downside is that we have had a tech that were rude to my friend for really no reason. I started coming to Amazing nails 4 years ago. Tina does great work but the results are inconsistent and when I'm paying $40 + tip I'd like to leave with something I'm happy with each time. I stopped coming for about 2 years and was going to a salon in Etters but decided to try AmazIng Nails again 3 weeks ago. First set back with Tina was amazing, exactly what I wanted and grew out beautifully. 2nd on Friday was terrible. Tina was crazy busy and distracted, started my appointment late and rushed my nails. Finish had bubbles, very lumpy and uneven, and shape was way too round for my liking. I paid and left because I needed time to let it grow on me, maybe it was just not what I was expecting but passable. Nope, it looked like I did them myself. I call Tuesday to make an appointment and I'm happy to pay full price for a new set, no need to fix them as I had already soaked them off myself. I didn't even mention I was unhappy with the previous set, said I broke a few nails and wanted a fresh set. Everything starts great but we started at 6:20 when my appointment was for 6pm, and halfway through people start lining up behind me and I notice she's again running behind and rushing. I'm checking one hand as she's shaping the other and notice none of my nails are the same length or same shape. I let her finish one hand so we have a baseline to compare and ask her to fix the other so they can match. She tells me I should have told her sooner so she could fix it earlier and I'm making more work for her and she's busy. I apologize, say I told her as soon as I noticed. She complains I don't like the length and needed to tell her before she's shaping and buffing, I apologized again and said the length is fine but I want the length to be the same on both hands and if that means making some shorter then let's do that. She kept saying I should have told her sooner and how I am holding her up, I keep apologizing and said I told her as soon I noticed. This happened in front of 2 customers waiting for appointments with her, I was embarrassed. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for tweaks throughout the process. She asked me what I wanted when I sat down and I wasn't getting it so I said so. I am always super polite and very friendly with service providers like nail techs, I truly appreciate how hard they work to do something for me that I can't do for myself. If you can get in to see Tina when she's not swamped and super busy you're going to have gorgeous nails. Ironically, I love the nails I left with tonight but I wouldn't have if I hadn't asked for things to be cleaned up a bit, but I will be looking to go somewhere else in the future. Results are too inconsistent to warrant the spend for nails here. read more

So here's the problem with this place, they take too many people and can't keep up. I had an appointment at 5. The pedicure did take over an hour and the man did not know how to do a French tip so he has someone else come help him and she also messes up the French tip. Then as I'm finishing I see the workers take three new clients. I still need my nails done so I knew I was going to have to wait. my nail lady does me and another woman's nails at the same time taking over an hour and a half to do mine alone at this point I spent three hours at the salon. I was dissatisfied with my pedicure and my nails did look great, but no one has time to spend three hours at the salon for your nails, so finally I do leave a tip, but it is lower than 20% because of the disappointment. the lady who did my nails points at the tip and says that they shared tips asking me to change it and then shooed me away when I said that I would not change it. completely unprofessional and rude and didn't even ask. Why maybe I did tip less than 20%. read more

We made an appointment for 2 people for pedicure. Got to the salon before an appointment time, so I will have time to pick the color of the polish. My spouse got seated and was getting his pedicure done on time, though the technician was distracted all the time and his pedicure was done too quickly, when compared with previously done pedicures. Also, I was not impressed with the quality of work. All that time I was sitting next to my spouse in the pedicure chair as he was getting his pedicure done. The technician was done with my spouse and only then she started my pedicure, that is 30 min. later. She, as she told me her name was Tsy, hurried with my pedicure, which was done in 15 min (record time). Also, my pedicure was nothing to be impressed with. Poorly done, no cuticle care and so forth, but I had to pay full price plus tip. Not only, both of our pedicures were done poorly, in the end they overcharge us with pricing. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the Amazing nails salon to anyone, there is nothing to be amazed about, customer care is poor, and the owner is very rude. read more

Hands down, the most steady handed and detailed nail artists ever! I'm super thrilled at the price, the service and attentiveness here! It's not a bunch of employees gossiping in their language, nor hidden up charges as they do your nails. Polite, real and honest service! They do the natural dip for your nails. I wanted gel (I've never done it) and didn't know they sanded down your nails. I loved how Lisa explained what she was going to do before she did it. She was honest about how the gel process weakens your nails over time and offered me an alternative. It had to be by appointment only, but she wasn't greedy by pushing the gel service for that day. Had made an appt for a pedi a week ahead. I always make appts for the start of the day so I don't have to wait. This is the second nail salon where I am the first customer of the day and the nail tech is not even there yet. Then when the person arrives, there's several minutes longer to wait while they get their ducks in a row. I truly hope this is not the norm. The pedi was a rush job and given with attitude. Nothing I did suited her, from where I placed my handbag to moving my feet in the foot bath ("No, don't do that, you will splash water on the floor"). But the clincher was cleanliness. While the metal implements appeared to be sterilized, she got a brush and scrubbie out the drawer, used them on me, washed them in the dirty foot bath water and then tossed it back in the drawer & slammed it shut. This was not what a sign on the acrylic shield in front of me stated; it said certain items would be given to the customer for use at a future appt. Nothing was given to me or disposed of in the trash besides the cotton with the nail polish remover. She also took a phone call during my pedi. My nails look good but the polish on one big toe does not even meet the cuticle so it looks like the nail has grown out already. This nail tech should not be in a profession where she has direct contact with people. read more

I went in for dip and the tech asked how much shorter I wanted my existing nails that either should have been soaked off or just dipped over (as they have done at this salon in the past). After trimming them, tech then proceeded to tell me that all of the nails needed to be removed because they were lifting too much, even though only 2 or 3 would have needed to be replaced. She (painfully) removed the nails with either pliers or a cuticle cutter and ended up ripping my pinky nail, making me bleed and did not even acknowledge it. I go here when I'm in the area and usually have a good experience; I chose to write a review because of the negligence of the tech and because I was told that I was getting charged for tips, even though the nails I left with were not overly long. read more

I have gone to this salon at least 4 times since new owners. I went to get a basic manicure just nails and cuticles. They pushed dipping powder on me do I got it. The last time I went In I didn't want a pedicure but they suggested so I got it along with eyebrows waxed. The lady doing my nails told me they are to long. So she continues and cut them to short. I told her I'm not happy don't like them just cut them off. She says I want you to be happy. At this point I'm not happy. So she argues then I agree to let her redo them. She cuts the tip asking how long. She looks at my hand and says that's too long. I have to pay the bills you use to much product. Why you don't get acrylic. This is the second time she has done my nails and the second time I didn't like them. I said your the only one who has a problem with my length. There is nothing on the price bored that says extra 5 dollars for length at a certain point Long nails extra 5 I paid a. Extra 10 dollars. They want to do what they want and charge for whatever as long as it benefits them. I was so mad after leaving last time I will never return and I don't recommend this place read more

I've been here about 3 or 4 times now and I've found a place that I can finally call myself a regular! The place is always very clean, which is important to me. They use clean tools and liners in the pedi tubs! As for their services, their pedicures are great. I go for the basic package and get great results. An awesome massage and no matter who is working on me they always get all of my ingrown toenails (I always get them, they're the worst). The polish selection is good and the pedi lasts the normal amount of time. The thing I love the most is the dipping powder manicure. The product is something I have t used before, but after 3 applications I'm in love. It makes my nails feel and look like I have acrylics on, but it is all natural and doesn't tear up my nail beds. They are healthy and grow pretty fast with the stuff on them, actually. I also love that I don't need the UV light to seal it. There are a lot of colors and it's totally worth it! I asked the last time about designs with this type of manicure and Andy, one of the owners who always does a great job, said that they can do whatever designs I would want the same as with any other type of manicure! The place was able to take me as walk-in for a pedicure because I got there when they 1st opened- but in general it's def a place you want to call and make an appointment ahead because it was crazy busy. Everyone was super friendly and the price was on point. I absolutely loved the nail design and would recommend them if you're looking for more than just your plain polish change etc. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because the massage portion wasn't much. Then again, it's hard to find a place that does a real good foot massage with pedicures anymore. I will def go back there in the future for sure read more

What a nice find! Great, friendly service. I called the day before to make a reso for 4 mani/pedis. They said they could take us at 8am and I learned the next day they had squeezed us in early b/c they figured w a party of 4 it was somehow related to a bridal party or something like that. We were guests in a wedding, but none the less appreciated the great service to take us in last minute. Everyone working as friendly, chatty, and up beat especially for 8am. They also knew what setting I should have my massage seat when pregnant - kneading only moms to be! One small ding - one of the manicurist was not v talkative, and while that's not a big deal, especially bc some people want quiet during the session, he did cut the cuticles and sides on a few fingers in our party. Update: in addition to all the other info, my nail beds were legitimately hurting so I removed the dip I got less than a week ago. The reason my fingers are hurting is because she used the drill too much on my natural nail before applying anything. She said it was to clean up my cuticle. My nails are red and soft near the cuticle because she drilled too much. I'll follow up with my dermatologist. For reference, I got my nails done Monday and it's only Friday. I relocated here earlier this year from New York and was TERRIFIED at going to a new place - I had been going to my nail place back home since high school (over 10 years). After going to four different places and having horrible experiences I saw this place while driving by one day and decided to take a chance, and boy was I happy I did. I'm so happy to have found a place like Amazing Nails. I got a full acrylic set and two fills at LA Nails in the Capital City Mall and they were TERRIBLE. I went for my fills at exactly 2 weeks apart. They never did a good job of taking off the parts of the acrylic that were not adhered to the nail and after 2 fills I had mildew growing in the pockets they left. The girls at Amazing Nails took great care of me. I had to have the nails removed and they did a new full set. They are very friendly and I love talking to them. They worked with me to explain the different choices I had and worked with me to come up with what worked best for me and my lifestyle so I have the best looking nails possible. I've been going here for years! I made an appointment for 1pm on a Saturday in advance for a party of 4 for pedicures. I was also getting my nails done by Bling Bling.Got there and was told that we could have a seat in the pedicure chairs. I waited patiently as my three friends got their pedicures started. Forty five minutes later my nail technician came over to get started. She was told to do my nails first. Needless to say I left there with no pedicure. No big deal! I rescheduled for the following Saturday @1pm advance of course. I always made an appointment. Got the early & waited patiently. Two other people walk in & when asked how can I help you. We called in for 1 o'clock appts for pedicures. They were told to go ahead and have a seat in one of the pedicure chair. Ten minutes later I was told that I could have a seat in one of the pedicure chairs. The nail technician got my water started & processed to finish with another customer. I waited & waited & waited as one of the nail technicians did the other customers pedicures. Twenty five minutes later was still waiting. Mind by this time the water was getting cold & my feet looked like dried up prunes. When asked how much longer it would be. I was told I was next. I told the owner that an almost 30 minute wait was unacceptable. She gave me this bs excuse of why it was taking so long. When asked why make an appt then? And telling her that she takes other ppl over her scheduled customers and that's poor business management. She no longer wanted to discuss it! If my time isn't important to you as a loyal customer!
