She showed up at 9:30 before I could even respond. I was at an appt where I could not answer my phone so we were playing phone tag in between me seeing the dentist and me checking out of my appt. I told her I was on my way home. I got home by 10:10 and waited for a while. I checked my security cameras and she had left almost immediately after I texted her telling her I would be home soon. She just left! No notification, nothing. I called her to ask where she was and she texted me back around 10:40 saying that she couldn't wait because she had other clients to do. But I had an appt at 10:30! I moved my day around this appt and then she lied to me. I was home on time and she totally blew me off for other jobs. That is so unprofessional and disrespectful. They lost a client that day. I had soooo many times they had to change my appt or had to cancel due to being short staffed, etc. I was always flexible and kind. I don't know why I was treated like this but feel I had to say something. Sorry guys but you dropped the ball.

When I tried putting dog on the ground to explain that he can bite if taken from my hands, she grabbed my dog aggressively and said, "next time you will just give him to me." In an aggressive manner. She then accused me of telling her how to do her job, when I said nothing about grooming or how to do the job. However, I wanted to point-out something that I hope someone else can benefit from. You should know ahead of time: There is a 15-pound weight limit for dogs, and, perhaps stick with just Stacy as your groomer. You can actually stop reading right there, because the rest of the review is simply sharing my observations. Based on Dogs of Venice reviews, I was excited to have Stacy groom my Maltese. When I called, she got back to me quickly. She was booked out, but said her daughter (with 2 years of experience) could groom and she (Stacy) would oversee the cut. I brought my dog in at the appointment time and met Stacy, who was a lovely person--it's no wonder she has so many good reviews. I handed Stacy my dog, chatted a little (about the cut and about my pup), and headed out. Shortly after I got home, I received a call to come back--my dog was apparently over the weight limit. Stacy explained she has back issues and did not want to injure herself. This seemed strange because 1. my dog weighed 13.5 pounds at the vet last Tuesday and 2. Stacy's daughter was supposed to be grooming my dog, rather than Stacy herself. There's really no sense in trying to debate it when someone calls you back to get your dog, right? And I certainly did not want anyone to hurt themselves. So I went back. Long story short, when I arrived to get my dog Heidi, Stacy was apologetic and her daughter was sitting on a chair on the other side of the room looking at the floor, with her ears covered. I don't know what that was all about--maybe the dogs barking--but she didn't get up or say anything or even look my way--which just felt odd and a little unprofessional. The moral of the story is--know they have a weight limit--it might be a good idea to ask them to weigh your dog at drop off if you think you're close--and perhaps most importantly, wait for availability so Stacy can groom your pooch.
