Highly recommend! I was hesitant to try a new place to color my teen daughter's hair for the first time, but my daughter couldn't wait to go! We discussed what she wanted with Marion beforehand and when asked, was happy to give me a fee quote before getting into the chair. She made sure my daughter was at ease and happy with the cut and lightening. After we told her we would be going to the beach these last few days of summer, she suggested we come back to finish off with the color, so as the color would not wash out as quick. I've been trying to find a salon allllll week long which has proven to be a ridiculously difficult task. Some salons I call are either fully booked or don't know how to really cut my type of hair (naturally curly). My hair was half way down my back, and I wanted it cut to the bottom of my ears, pretty much. I just came here recently from Cali, and this heat/humidity really hasn't been working out well with my natural curls. After an hour of being outside, I always end up with a giant frizzball. This was a dramatic haircut and I didn't want to just let anyone do it where I'd have to live with regrets (lol). I always pass by Amazing Touch when I'm driving along Ka'onohi, and I decided to yelp this place. It looked very promising so on a whim I called and the lovely owner, Marion, answered the phone and addressed all my concerns, and better yet, they could take me in 15 minutes! So I arrive and am warmly greeted by both Marion and Brian. Brian was my stylist for the day. Let me start off with saying he was just about the sweetest, easy-to-talk-to stylist I've ever had! I showed him the photo of the style/length I wanted and he got to work immediately :-) So let's see... let's start off with the overall ambiance of the salon. This place is super clean and really cute! The individual "stalls" give privacy between clients but still allows for a warm, inviting feeling regardless. Everything was clean when I got there, which was really nice. You can tell they maintain their salon very well. Brian started off with washing my hair, followed by a deep condition. First off, I know this may sound weird, but he was so delicate with his touch and did such a nice job washing my hair. I've had stylists pull, scratch, and wring out my hair with such rough hands. Brian really took the time to wash my hair and massage my scalp. During the wash, we conversed and to my pleasant surprise, I learned about his years of experience as a stylist! Major brownie points there!! Anyways, we started the cut, and he constantly checked in with me to see how I liked it. I already trusted him by that point, he definitely knew how to work with the natural texture of my hair so that he cut it in a way that worked with my face shape and accentuated my curls. Let's just say, I loved the final product! Pretty much came out exactly how I wanted :) Thank you Brian and Marion for being so lovely! AMAZING TOUCH!!!!! This is my first YELP review...ever. But I had to do this review because of my experience at this salon! This was my first time in the salon as a paying customer. I love the vibe. Very, very clean and peaceful. I'm Black with natural 4c hair. I had Marion, the owner, put in a retouch color treatment. She listened to me and made me feel comfortable. Teena, another beautician, blow dried my hair, and honey honey....it was EXCELLENT!! Absolutely no pulling or pain!!!! That's huge, I just can't say enough. That is excellent on my 4c hair. AMAZING TOUCH is true!!!!!!! The owner even gave me a military discount on her salon "Today's Special"! Who does that?!! Lol!!! The ladies are lovely! Give them a try....you won't regret it. I came in with a Groupon and paid an additional $25 for a scalp treatment. Marion was very kind, accommodating, and funny. I felt very welcomed when I came into her salon. She has taken all the safety measures she could especially because of covid. I am happy with my cut and the treatment that I came in for. I just wish the products she recommended to me weren't as pricey, but I do need it to maintain my dry and oily scalp. read more

I was referred to Amazing Touch Beauty Salon by a friend and told me to go see Skyler Moses @skyyyzthelimit IG profile. So I checked it out and let me say I was amazed and super stoked. Sky faded my hair exactly how I wanted it, medium fade, and also made a line which was more perfect then my last hair dresser. She also cut my sons hair and dyed his hair with quality and precision. My stylist Brian did an excellent job! I would definitely recommend him. However, I cannot recommend the salon. The owner is deceptive, a liar, basically a thief. Had a Groupon for certain services. During the consultation we determined there would be additional services and agreed on an additional charge of $70. While checking out, the price went up to $124 with no justification. The owner acknowledged saying the price was $70 but insisted the price was now $124, even though nothing had changed. In addition, while my hair was setting, the owner had my stylist service a walk-in. Setting is 30 minutes, I was setting for 45 min. My scalp was on fire! Unethical and unprofessional! read more

I scheduled an appt for a cut and color which they said would be $85. I got an additional undercut which was $20. The color I asked for and what was put in my hair was NOT even similar! I told the manager, Marion, that it wasn't right. I was charged for additional highlights ($70) for them to "fix" the color. I asked how it would fix it and they said they would tone it with violet. I left unsatisfied but needed to pick my son up from school so didn't complain that day. I came back and they stripped my hair and redid the color with the correct violet color that I wanted. I found out they used a TEMPORARY DYE! If I wanted a temporary dye, I would've done it myself and saved myself $180! Rip off! I'm currently 2 washes into my new "color" and I'm back to my brown. Went in to complain and they will not refund or offer additional solutions. Ridiculous. Will never go here again and do not recommend read more

I went in for partial high lights and walked out with orange hair. the owner Mirium claims she has been a hair dresser for 20 yrs and the need for toner is only for thick or Asian hair (I have neither) I walked in excited to feel pretty by the end of the appt and ended up feeling embarrassed of the orange hair and had to cancel my evening outings due to the orange hair. She offered to add toner to my hair, set up an appt for the next day, was late for the appt, and had some one else add toner to my hair. I was told by her fill in my hair was in need of toner but after toner treatment, although my hair was not as brassy, it was still orange. The fill in did say that at least my hair did look better. There were other regrettable issues during my appt that I will not go into but If only I could turn back the hand of time, I never ever would have taken this risk read more

DON'T GO HERE. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I was incredibly disappointed in what Marion did to my hair. I felt like she didn't listen to what I wanted (and certainly was unable to execute it), and she even tried to fix her mistake and wasn't even close. I asked for beachy, light, caramel-toned, natural-looking highlights. Her first attempt was an awful brassy/red and when she finally admitted it wasn't good and re-toned it, she just made it super dark and then my whole head looked tinted red. The worst part was that rather than admitting fault, she continuously made excuses and tried to put the blame on ME, whether it was the salon lights or my genetics or my virgin hair or that it was her first time working on my hair. I may not have gotten highlights before but I've gotten my hair lightened and toned before and it has NEVER looked like that and there's a level of responsibility she should have taken. Because of her ridiculous excuses, I no longer felt like I could trust her to keep doing things to my hair. I felt like it was sloppy and rushed and no intention or care was put into it. I cried the whole way home from the appointment. I felt like I should have only paid for the haircut....but I did. I left feeling like my hair was ruined. I even emailed Marion to let her know how I felt and to ask for a refund but she didn't even have the decency to write any sort of response. I finally decided to treat myself to highlights at a salon. Marion was very accommodating and explained what my options were. She was great at explaining the step by step process and what I should expect. She even brought me tea, which I appreciated. I felt very relaxed during my visit here. The end result was better than I imagined it would be! I've gotten many compliments on my hair! I am here again - one month later - touching up and getting more highlights because I'm gonna be daring and work my way to blonde (or close to blonde). Very unprofessional. I had made an appointment for a Brazilian wax two weeks prior for an upcoming vacation that I'm taking. I was greeted by a man who stated he'd be servicing me today... wait what?.. no, I'm here for a Brazilian waxing... Then he and his co-worker started giggling saying they were wondering if the appointment was really for a waxing or a Brazilian blow-out hair straightening appointment?? I dont normally write reviews but i think I needed to make one for Amazing Touch Salon. I am a picky person when it comes to my hair. I would rather color my hair than go to a stylist. It was when my sister insisted that there is this place across bed bath and beyond who does hair and uses good hair coloring brands. Very safe and not much chemicals. I made an appoinment with Marion. I was greeted when i got there, people were friendly and accomodating. I explained Marion what I want and she listened. She explained what she plans to do and If i agree with it. My hair wasnt easy to do and it needed some special attention due to being colored by me for a long time so it needed to go through the process of bleaching. Marion was very patient and she put a timer to make sure my hair is ok. She was there checking my hair in between never leaving me. It is because I told her i heard horror stories that some salon would leave their clients leaving their clients with dry and fragile hair in the end. Some had stories about their hair having hard time growing back due to a stylist being careless. Marion appears to be passionate in what she does and appears happy when she makes others happy. It is along drive for me but i dont mind because I found my stylist. I think when you found someone you trust you will just keep coming back.
