I chose Dr. Jennifer Farrell as my primary care physician because she is a DO, a background I tend to prefer. From my very first visit, Dr. Farrell has consistently gone above and beyond in addressing my healthcare needs. She has been especially helpful with numerous VA-related issues and has always taken the time necessary to thoroughly understand and resolve my concerns. Dr. Farrell is friendly, highly competent, and extremely professional. I genuinely believe she is the best doctor I have ever had. The staff at this facility is equally outstanding. The nurses and medical assistants are attentive, caring, and never make you feel rushed. The front desk staff has always been courteous and willing to explain details clearly, often going above and beyond to help with any questions or concerns. I truly hope to remain a patient at this practice for many years to come.

Dr. Amerena was my PC physician for all of that time until he retired last year - very personable - he took the time to listen and actually gave you a physical/check up - all the usual things you would expect a Dr to check at your annual physical. Took them 6 months to replace him and then the new doctor spent less than 10 minutes with me at my latest annual physical- quick conversation and then assigned blood tests. Would have made more sense if I had just gone straight to Labcorps as the doctors appointment added no value. Beyond that, FPCA has become very difficult to work with. Not sure if it has been the move to Privia management systems/policies. I was not happy with Dr. Amerena's replacement and decided to see another FPCA Doctor for my next physical, but it has been impossible to set up an appointment with any other Dr. in FPCA. None of them will accept transfer patients from another Doctor within the same medical group. I have wasted hours on the phone trying to schedule an annual physical with a new doctor in their system and it is a waste of time - they wont do it - I am moving on to Frederick Health or another practice.

She is very clear in explaining the why we are doing exercises and stretches and watches closely to ensure I'm doing them correctly. She uses different modalities and the cupping helps a lot with the stuck fascia. I've never had rib work which was gentle yet effective. After every session I get reminder of my program for home with clear reminders and she uses video if you need visual reminder. The studio space is bright, nicely designed and welcoming. Dana as the office manager is always upbeat and friendly. I drive a distance to get there and it's well worth it. Give Zia an opportunity to prove their value.

They would tell me that somebody was going to come on a Wednesday for example and that I would get called on Tuesday night to set up the exact time. Far too frequently, the call never came. I'd call them and then they'd say oh you got moved to a different day or one week. I just didn't hear anything at all. As I said, while the individual caregivers were excellent, I cannot deal with the fact that they wanted us to schedule my entire life around when they randomly showed up.

I would normally give one star based on my experience overall, but I am giving two stars because the OT Jamelle and the PT Kelly were wonderful with my dad and providing family training. I myself am a healthcare worker and I'm aware of what the services should entail. They are clearly vested in their businesses bottom line, not patient care. My dad was seen by an licensed PT for the initial evaluation and the he was then assigned to a PTA, who was very nice, but would've done absolutely nothing with my dad other than sitting in chair doing leg exercises, had I not requested she work on functional tasks performing sit to stand, walking with his walker and assessing if he could do stairs as he was independent and able to climb 14 steps prior to his recent hospitalization. Furthermore when the PTA did come she was only there for usually 30 mins max. As other people had noted in the reviews, and where I think the problems stem from, are the higher ups the branch manager and above. They did an awful job in scheduling caregivers and abysmal communication/responses when reaching out to them. Sadly this organization he really declined and I would not recommend them for any home health services.

She was friendly, professional, patient and explained everything clearly. While small, the clinic was clean and offered free water bottles as a thoughtful touch for those who might have "shy bladder." If this is your first time visiting (like me), my one suggestion is allowing some extra time since the clinic is located in plaza of similar-looking office buildings. I would happily choose this clinic again.
