I'm not sure why my first review was removed. Simply the best. As a disabled widow, I don't get out much but I very much look forward to my hair appointments. The building has a ramp on the side so I don't have to worry about getting in and out of the building. The salon is clean, welcoming, and accessible. Additionally, the staff is friendly and goes the extra mile to accommodate my disability. The owner even texted to check on me when my husband passed away. It is hard for me to write a review for just one person at Ambiance as this is a fantastic team of women. I've been going to Ambiance since I first landed in Fallon a few years ago and I instantly felt like family. You know, the family that you like to spend time with. They are all talented and professional. I've had my hair cut and colored, pedicures, and my son has had his hair dyed blue and purple there. I've even had my lashes done. Tammy wouldn't let me come in to fix my haircut after she rushed through and didn't quite get what I was asking for. Now she's not allowing me to come back in to fix it, after I spent 50$ and I feel that's just crappy business. I had made an apt to get my nails done, they booked me with Raelyn Daily. She was new and VERY SLOW!! However, we had good conversation and she also painted my 8year old daughter nail, which she did a great job. I lost track of time Amd was 15 minutes late to an apt and she COMPLETELY BLACK BALLED ME!! She wouldn't return messages, just complete and utter ignorance. This was the first and only time I had ever not shown up for an apt and when I finally got her to answer me, it was because I finally went down to the salon and confronted her. She said, "I don't rebook people who don't show up for apts." She is young and I guess this is the world we live I now. No compassion for life situations and apparently Raelyn Dailey's shit doesn't stink. if yours does....I suggest NOT waisting your time with this mess of a troubled youngster. read more

Today was my first time visiting this Salon. I had Jody originally scheduled just for eyebrows, she was so great with my waxing. Than when I was getting ready to head out I mentioned scheduling a haircut. Jody luckily had her first appointment cancel so I was able to also get my haircut. She was just great through my whole experience there from addressing how I want my eyebrows to how I would like my hair and any concerns I had with a good length for being able to do my hair for work. I came in for a shampoo & style :) It had been a hard week & I just wanted to treat myself to decent looking hair, lol. I did NOT get an 'up-do', just regular blow out. The salon is clean & the stylist was very friendly. I did notice that on-line it said the shampoo & style was $20, but I was charged $25. After my hair was looking flowy (yes, it's a real word) & cute, I did the most reasonable thing.... I went hiking, lol. I did want to mention that my GPS was confused about the address. It told me it was on the opposite side of the road & a street before I actually got there. It might be because it's on the side of the road itself. Had an appointment Friday to get a spiral perm. Walked out of there hair permed but not a spiral perm. I got an old lady perm. She used the smallest rods she could find and kept my back at the mirror so I could not see what she was doing. I walked out of there in shock. My hair was not damaged when I walked in but now my hair is so burned and frizzy. Can't stop crying because she kept telling me to trust her and I was stupid enough to believe her. Last weekend I got married at my In-Laws ranch in Fallon, NV. Living out of the area, the whole planning process was done as a destination wedding. I had three bridesmaids and myself in need of up do's and styles for the wedding. Not living in the area, I had to ask around by calling local business and asking where was the best place to get our hair done. I was recommended to Ambiance Salon more then once and after speaking directly with the stylist Liz, I was set on this being the place to get one of my most important hairdo's done. Liz was so profession, hip, and helpful. My wedding my vintage 50's style theme and Liz gave us so many great hair and makeup recommendations too. Walked in for a quick eyebrow wax, the parking lot was empty and there were no customers inside. I waited in the waiting area for a few minutes until someone realized I was there. She wasn't currently doing anything but told me she had someone coming in for a color in 15 minutes so she could wax my eyebrows in 45 minutes. What? Walk ins welcome? Nope. I used to go to this salon all the time for tanning. It was a bit pricy but one of the only places in town to tan. Well one day I decided to go there to get my hair colored...biggest mistake of my life. It cost $120 which I figured wasn't terrible since my hair was going from brown to blonde, it's going to need a lot of product. Well they assured me they could get me to the color I wanted in 1 session. I sat in the chair for 3 hours while they poured bleach in my hair. Having worked at a salon prior I knew they were over bleaching my hair, but they ASSURED it was a safe bleach. Once it was all over they turned me around to see my hair....it was orange I mean orange. I pretended it was fine (maybe it was the lighting...they said that several times) I went home and my hair was butchered. I actually cried. I then went to work the next day where they told me I couldn't come back until my hair was fixed because it looked unprofessional, so I called and told them they need to fix it they argued with me but eventually agreed. Here's where it gets really bad. They bleached it even more, then "added lowlights" I posted a picture of these so called "low lights" where they just glopped brown die in my hair, please look at the picture before you go there!!! I was then harassed to pay her for "fixing" my hair that she messed up I was pissed, I told them they needed to fix it and that I would come back until it was fixed they refused and said "only 1 touch up" ARE YOU SERIOUS?! You butchered my hair and are refusing to fix it?! I gave up. After looking around for a while I found the electric chairs salon where Vickie was nice enough to fix it at a portion of the price since the other place screwed me over so badly. Thankfully Vickie is a talented stylist and she fixed it it one sitting. After all was said and done the whole ordeal cost me $300 Bottom line...never go to this salon. They are rude, Untalented, and expensive. Not to mention the owner Tammy feels the need to review her own salon 4 or 5 times on here. Red flag. If the majority of the reviews are from the owner herself, it's probably not that great of a salon...which it's not. AT ALL! read more
