Took my kid in here a couple days ago to have him get a professional haircut instead of giving him my home haircuts as usual. We walked in and there was no line and no waiting. I asked the barber if she gave kids haircuts. She said yes. She got a booster seat for him and had him sit up on the barber chair. He looked excited. The barber, whose name was Elaine, ensured my kid was comfortable. She showed him the clippers and told him that it wouldn't hurt him. She even had him touch the clippers to show that it wouldn't hurt him. She first started cutting the top with scissors, then clipped his sides. She was done within a few minutes. He looked clean with his fresh new haircut. My kid liked it and I liked it. She even gave him a piece of candy after. Our experience there was outstanding. We will be back for future haircuts. Elane is great! Mane Attraction is across the street from the Nugget on Mane street, about 5 miles from NAS Fallon. The price is fair, the haircut was exactly what I asked for. I was very happy with my experience. The place is very Military friendly. Elane offered to accommodate off-hour hair cuts on request/appointment if I or anyone from our group couldn't make it during normal buisness hours, then handed us a stack of buisness cards. Those cards became handy, the closest barber to our work place had lines out the door, some of my co-workers waited hours to get a cut... Meanwhile, I had no wait and a much better experience at Mane Attraction. read more

First, this place is very military/ex-military friendly. My son and I were in town visiting family and we came in for a haircut. I started noticing the WWII posters that were nicely framed and hanging on the wall. When I started asking about them, Elaine (stylist) started telling us about them. She really knew her stuff and has a lot of patriotism. Very cool to see and talk about. We showed her pictures of how we wanted our hair cut and she was spot on. Prices were very reasonable too. Get down to her shop for a haircut. You will not regret it. Prices are very reasonable for the time she takes with you. Elaine is the best, period. I have really thick, hard to cut hair and she has done an exceptional job with it. Her prices are great and she is wonderful to chat with while she does your hair. I lived here three years and she never disappointed. I happened to be in town today needing a cut and was able to come by and get another exceptional cut. It made my day getting to catch up with her again and the conversation was so good my typical 15 minute haircut took 45.
