We went to see Fantastic Four: First Steps. It was a Tuesday about 2:00 pm. There were 3 couples total in our theater (#13) - so not crowded or noisy. What we liked: - Not crowded - Saved 20% for being a Tuesday matinee - Movie image and sound were great What we didn't care for so much: - Concession pricing was high: $18.02 for a large soft drink and a medium popcorn - Carpets in our theater were dirty/dingy but were vacuumed - Tile/lino floor in the seating rows were sticky - Men's room floors were sticky - Didn't affect our experience but outside facade is in need of restoration read more

Made the mistake of seeing the Odyssey here as a birthday gift for my husband during a quick visit in the area. So beyond disappointed. First , I thought that all theaters had somewhat upgraded seating. Wow...this is like circa 1979 seats for a 3 hour movie. The screen quality reminded me of my mom's 90's box tv...dull flat color. What a waste to see such an amazing movie in this venue. Stale popcorn and flat soda. This is why people quit going to the movies and started streaming. Thought amc was better than this. No frills movie experience. Staff was helpful. Infrastructure was a bit worn but acceptable. Seats are pretty dated. Prices were acceptable for movie theater. Plenty of free parking. Not a destination but acceptable movie theater option in area. read more

It's almost like they have the only theater in town in a tourist trap and therefore no incentive at all to make it nice. The employees were great,, but that's all it has going for it. The seating and lack of recliners felt like a relic from the early 2000s. The concessions were bad, but that's a problem across AMC at all location. The popcorn is never fresh and rarely even warm. But this one also felt like the sizes were smaller and the large was just a bag instead of the standard bucket. All around, just a poor place to see a movie in 2024. read more

First off, we went to an evening showing on "Thanksgiving" and there was no hot food being made. We were expecting to have dinner and a movie. Only options were popcorn and nachos.. there should have been better planning for the holiday. What a disappointment. We wanted to leave but our kids were so excited to see a movie, so we settled on nachos. Cheese was barely luke warm. Chips had a funny taste. THE SEATS, the seats are uncomfortable. The theatre felt dirty. There was popcorn on the floor when we entered, so no cleaning was done between showings. As much money being raked in for the area, the seats absolutely should be upgraded, and with no price increase! Stop being cheap. The prices certainly aren't cheap. Looked up movie times on Internet since this was the closest location for a movie. Gave 2 different times for movie, drove 45 miles only to find out there was only 1 time which was 3 1/2 hours later. Left without seeing the movie. Very disappointing. Told them to fix their info on Internet. What good was it with incorrect info. Second time this has happened. read more

Absolutely filthy bathrooms and theaters. This was a Sunday night and it looked as though it wasnt cleaned all day and the bathroom sinks hadn't been scrubbed in weeks. Really filthy. Short handed? Very clean with many choices of snacks and movies. This is what you expect from an AMC. I was not as happy with the seating as I've become accustomed to the reclining seats, so I was a little uncomfortable. But the seats and theater were very clean, so no complaints. read more

We are spoiled back home with our Marcus theatre but this theatre is stuck in the 90s. You can buy your tickets online, but you still have to wait in the ticket line for them to PRINT your tickets??? So inefficient. They also don't do any morning showings, let you choose seats early, or have lights in the theatres. So when you go to save your seats, you are pulling out your phone flash light to see anything. If you come late, you can't see who has put jackets on anything. They get plenty of business being so close to all the resorts and being the only theatre in the close area that you'd think they could afford some updates. Their bathrooms were disgusting. And for how long their concessions line was, they don't utilize the large counter they have. read more

Big screens, comfortable reclining seats and good audio. Place is nice but could use a " sprucing up" before it gets dated. Seems like the whole place is run by a bunch of kids which is becoming par for the course at most theaters. Bathroom had broken urial with a red bad covering it. Didn't mean to sound so negative. The theater was okay. No reclining seats. No reserved seating options. No "extra' fixings for the popcorn. The place is large enough to fix all of these issues so it's time for a renovation. It was fairly clean and they did have a nice soda fountain with all the selections. read more

Had a girls weekend away and visited this location because my aunt wanted to see a movie. I would never typically visit an AMC if a Marcus Theater was available, but alas there was no other option. It was bizarre for a weekend, that they barely had anyone working. In the Dells you figure there are lots of families visiting on weekends so there would be a larger influx of matinees for the children. They had bare bones staff, who couldn't seem to keep up with peoples concession needs. So we waited in line for ten minutes for concessions and crappy overly salty, overpriced popcorn. So many things are automated at the movies at this point, that just seems crazy. You fill your own drink up, and you butter your own popcorn. They also really need to up their seat game. They didn't seem stable and were very worn out. I think a lot of theaters are realizing they need to provide a true experience in order to get people to the movies, especially with the rising cost and AMC really needs to catch up on this. read more

We went to a movie at AMC while visiting the dells with 11 ladies and the guest of honor wanted to see a movie and this was our only option. Living in the greater Milwaukee area I am spoiled with Marcus theaters and wooooow do AMC theaters fall short now. I am fully accustomed to dream loungers, some heated seats, delicious white popcorn, a full staff etc. This theater was quite the opposite. You cannot purchase tickets online without a fee, you can't reserve seats, the theaters are smaller, they had minimal staff working and the lines were LONG. We missed far more of the movie than we should have due to waiting in line for refills. The popcorn was overly salty, you butter it yourself meaning you can pretty much only butter the top which leaves 2/3 of it butterless. Overall I am not a fan of this theater and won't be going back by choice! read more

During my visit, there was who I believed to be a very rude manager. I think her name is Justine. She is very rude to her employees and has called them vulgar names in front of other guests such as the R word. With this being said, I've also noticed that the theaters take forever to get cleaned up as well as concessions. I assume this is because the average AMC theater needs about 30 employees. But because of how shitty the management is, I'm not surprised that everyone is leaving to find other jobs. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. We are visiting from Illinois and really wanted to see the Bob's Burgers movie. The movie was great - but the theater was horrible. I accidentally dropped my phone on the ground and had to use a flashlight to look for it. The ground was BLACK and STICKY. In addition to this, there was popcorn and trash all over the ground, rips in the seats, and the food is more overpriced than any other theater I've been to. I felt like I was going to vomit after I saw the floor, and my partner felt sick after eating the flatbread pizza. :( read more

Will not be going back to an AMC anytime soon. Staff seam to lack any customer service skills and movies never play on time. This is the second AMC theater we've been to in the last month and both have been equally terrible. The movie that was scheduled for 2:30 didn't start until 2:52. At least this one had clean bathrooms and no holes in the ceiling. Honestly you can pay the same price (or less) to go to a more updated theater with better service. Movie was good though. Would highly recommend seeing Call of the Wild, just at a different theater. read more

was in town for work and needed to kill time after checking out of my hotel before work started. This was a really weird movie experience. I got my ID checked to get into a movie. Mind you, I'm a grown adult seeing a movie by myself at an 11:00 a.m. matinee. I rarely get carded for beer let alone to get into a movie. Whatever, I guess that's their policy. Their self-service kiosk was out of service. The floors are sticky and I was concerned about the cleanliness of the seats. It's probably all psychological, but I just felt itchy sitting in them. It may be because I'm from the Chicago area and all the theaters in my area have moved to the leather recliner seating model, but this AMC feels extremely outdated and gross. read more

Recent anniversary getaway visit to this theater proved to be expensive! I don't mind paying the admission fee, but holy cow the concessions are absolutely outrageous!! I don't know how a large family would be able to go to the movies anymore! This place needs to come back down to reality. Seats were ok. Not reclining. Steep stairs to upper level chairs. Speakers/sound system good. Seemed clean. Overall I would say that we would not visit here again if we had a choice to go elsewhere. read more

They had food and movies. I guess that's the standard? EXCEPT THAT THEY DIDNT HAVE THE STANDARDS. The time i went, they were out of popcorn. The seats were extremely uncomfortable and non reclining. We went to see Bad Moms Christmas today and was told that they were no longer showing film even though the poster was still on display, it was listed on reader board above registers and listed online. The cashier was only able to tell us that her manager told her they would not be showing Bad Moms any longer. Put a damper on our plans for evening. read more

Don't get your hopes up, it appears that this theater is poorly managed. We bought our ticket ahead of time to avoid standing in-line. However, there wasn't an employee or apparatus to scan your QRL code/tickets in order to bypass the cashier or the long line. If you're looking for a theater that's clean, avoid this location for now. We went into two different theaters in which they don't appear they had been cleaned in weeks. There was popcorn, cups and napkins all over the floors and throughout the aisles. It's a shame, for the price of a movie ticket that we paid for today, you think that the simplest of things would be addressed to make your visit memorable for the right reasons!!! read more

I have lived in the area for 17 years. This is the only movie theater in the Lake Delton, Wisconsin Dells area. The sanitation is deplorable. From the overflowing trash and cigarette receptacle at the front entrance. The restrooms are filthy, the main lobby and walkways are littered and unkept. The entire theater needs upkeep and a deep cleaning. I am guessing the owners or management has little interest in the customers at this theater. This review is harsh but true. read more

This place is pretty gross. The trash cans out front are overflowing with garbage. Every stall in the bathroom had a dirty seat. My daughter wanted to use a booster seat but they were too filthy to touch. The theatre itself had garbage on the floor and the chairs were sticky. read more

Ok the theater was clean that's about it. The volume in the theater was way off, the bass was so loud it hurt ur ears. But my biggest issue was the snack bar. When ur paying outrageous prices for pop & candy it should be good. We got the blue & pink cotton candy & neither had any flavor. I went to fill my pop with Coke zero & cherry flavor. The cherry flavor was out so I told the worker behind the counter & she said oh well!! Who the hell says that?! What happened to quality workers with good customer service? one star if you have any sort of a problem, five if you need nothing from the staff. Average of 3. Sadly this is the only movie theater within 50 miles of me that isnt mom and pop owned. Be warned if the movie stops, does not start, has no sound, 3D is not working finding someone to fix it is hard. the place runs on a skeleton crew. Way too many times i checked show times and when i got there the show started at a different time. not a bad place if you do it the self serve way. They have pizza now. Not sure if you can eat it during the show. If so i hate to see what the seats look like in 3 months. read more
