The facility is so dirty. My feet were sticking to the ground, popcorn was all over the seats. So disappointing.

was alright. nice snack options, lots of slushie stations, really good prices especially considering i watched a 3D movie. the aisles were super cramped when people took their seats, which isn't on the people sitting, but definitely on whoever designed it chubbier short girl at the front tried to scam me out of buying another ticket (i think). she rang up one ticket just fine, but the other ticket.. for some reason wasn't "valid". but when i called good ole mommy over, the ticket was somehow valid again for only american girl dolls to fit through. and the lightskin girl at the front doesn't need to be at the front, trying to converse with anyone if she's just going to keep her headphones on, say "what" 10 times, and then speak so low i have to almost climb over the counter to hear her even after asking her to speak up. she was super sweet, but the headphones gotta go, or she gotta stay in the back. read more

We went a few times just before Covid, and did not enjoy ourselves. This was before Cinamark opened. This was our first time in a theater in 3.5 years. You shouldn't be sweating while in a theater, yet there we were doing just that. Caught Oppenheimer at a matinee, and that's how it was. Concessions were so-so, with Twizzlers as hard as taffy. They are going to have to improve across the board to compete with Cinemark. read more

Absolutely the worst experience and employees ever. A horribly rude woman would not let us into the movie because we were 16 minutes late. 'We close 15 minutes after the movie starts.' Are you serious? You run 15+ minutes of previews. We closed at 8:25. IT WAS 8:27 - I kid you not. But NO!!!!! She would not let us watch the movie. She was so horrible and rude & clearly didn't want to work. It's Regal has more shows and is cleaner theatre so that's where I'll be from now on. read more

The seats are trash. They call them recliners. I am not impressed. We came in when it wasn't busy. Went over to macguffins. No bartender. There was a sign that said to ask an associate. There were at least 7 chatting over to the side that saw us. They were totally out of the D20, which is why we came in the first place. The last one they had was reserved for a worker. We were gonna buy it from her got $50. She said she had another offer for $60. The theatre was so loud when the ads started, ppl were waiting until the movie started to even go inside. Visited this theater for the first time during opening weekend of Black Panther.  I suspect management underestimated the turnout.  The floors were littered with popcorn and trash from the lobby, , down the halls, and into the theaters.  The drink dispensers were low on ice and the condiment station was trashed..  the seating is so low, i fell into my seat and sat with my knees bent almost in my stomach.  Wanting to see another movie 2 days later, and intentionally NOT selecting this theater again, my GPS brought me right back here.  Unbelievable!!!!  Too irritated to find another one.  The lobby and halls looked like they looked 2  nights prior.  The seats were as uncomfortable as they were before as well. Dwarfs, toddlers , and short people will love this if they can get past the trash receptacles spilling over, popcorn all over the floor, and greasy theater floors. read more

Didn't have a full service during the week. No serving alcohol. Only 1 employee in the lobby. They're understaffed. The popcorn was cold. The theater was literally 45 degrees. It was freezing!! The one employee offered no solutions or assistance. read more

Very disappointed in the overall condition and seating in this facility. Floor was littered with popcorn in the main areas, women's bathroom near our theater was messy and smelled of urine, my bar drink seemed to be watered down, and the seating was cramped with little to no leg room. I came to Waco with my wife and three young daughters on a day trip from San Antonio. We visited the Silo district, Magnolia, and Austin Historical area, very impressive! We wanted to end the night by watching Lion King IMAX and so we purchased tickets roughly $70 online. When we arrived the lobby of the theater was covered in grease and popcorn, I cannot exaggerate how much popcorn and spilled drinks covered the floors. I've never seen anything like it. The trash bins were overflowing to the point that piles of trash were outside the bins. The employees seemed oblivious to the disaster. Since our theater wasn't cleaned, we were force to stand in line for about 25 minutes outside our theater. The person who scammed our ticket took no effort during that time to keep his area clean. He just stood there content with the squalor. Suddenly two large sloppy men, apparently the trash crew came out of a door and entered the theater. They were untidy themselves so it added to the whole scene of disgust. I asked for a manager and little old lady said she was the manager and there was nothing she could do about the mess. She then started to clean the lobby herself and to our surprise she dug her hands into the trash bins to remove items by hand (w no gloves) to throw the items in a plastic bag. Finally they let us into the theater and the seats J20-J16 were covered in liquid and the cup holders were full of wet napkins and candy wrappers. One of the dirty clean up twins was standing at the bottom so I told him about our seats. He came up and did a quick and disgusting clean up of our seats and left. He smelt horrible. To our shock, he left wrappers and liquid in the cup holders. I was shocked that the other patrons throughout our visit were ok with the pigsty. They all seemed to be enjoying their experience, even when it was unsanitary to the point of disgust. We walked out the theater and the manager gave us a refund but held $12 convenience fee from us. We were happy to pay $12 to leave Waco's pigsty theater. I recommend stopping by just so you can see something out of the movie idiocracy. I've never seen anything like this place in my life. read more

I've been here several times as a frequent visitor to Waco and like the changes they have made. I know more AMC theatres have switched to the automatic soda machines which makes the process go faster and the seats are nice in the theatre. Price point is great! But I am comparing that to the prices in the Dallas area where it cost way too much. Overall, this is a great theatre in Waco I would highly recommend to others! read more

This is the worst movie theater that I have ever been to. I went once a few years ago and was so turned off I haven't returned - until now. The staff is unfriendly, maybe because the theater is ludicrously understaffed. Further, the theater is disgustingly dirty - this time there was feces on the floor of the men's room. I reported it to the manager before our movie began, and it was still there went the movie was over. Oh, and the seats are terribly uncomfortable- even if the person behind you doesn't put their feet on them for the entire show. If I could give this theater negative stars I would. I've always been partial to AMC as a chain, but not any more. read more

This is the movie theater we go to anytime we are in Waco to see my brother and his family. We went this morning to see Aquaman with my nephew. The first issue is that the parking lot is a bit difficult to get into. I suppose if you lived here you would get used to it, but for people who come a couple times a year we always have an issue. There is just enough time in between visits for us to forget how to get in. The prices are very reasonable and so that is a huge one in the plus column for this theater. We went to the first show of the day since we had two little ones and the it was only $22 for 2 seniors, 1 adult, and 1 child. The little one (under 2) was free. My husband and I saw a movie at home last week and our tickets came to $38. It was not very crowded, but again it was the early show, so there was no wait for concession. Despite being an 11 am movie, the theater itself was pretty busy, but it's Winter Break, so that has led to crowded theaters everywhere. I didn't love the seats. I felt like my seat was leaning forward the whole time. They definitely weren't as cushy as the ones in the AMC theater back home. They don't do reserved seating here, which seems unusual to me. All of the theaters back home do now, but it worked out ok. My biggest issue was that I went to change the little one during the movie and I couldn't find a changing station. I'm flabbergasted at any place that wouldn't have one. So I ended up changing him on a bench between the restrooms, which had some sort of red drink (Icee?) on it that got on his clothes. :( So the prices are reasonable, but the facilities are a bit lacking and could certainly be kept up a little better. read more

This theater has become more and more disgusting over the years. I don't usually leave Yelp reviews, but I'm revolted by how dirty this place is. Women's restrooms are filthy, popcorn and soda all over the floors in the lobby and down the halls, soda machines empty of ice and soda much of the time, etc. I don't understand how management has let this place deteriorate so much in the past few years. I don't know that I will come back anytime soon. There is a new movie complex coming to town soon - I can't wait. read more

It's one thing not to be friendly, it's another to be just plain rude. The bar is supposedly open in the weekends only, there is "no hot foods after a certain time" (it was 7:30& he didn't even say what time they turn their entire kitchen off.) First time coming here since i was a kid, if it wasn't the only movie theater here (&im an amc club member) I'd never come back. Theater is okay. Projection and sound work consistently well but plan on arriving at least 45-60 minutes early if you plan on getting snacks because the employees have the same level of hustle as your average tortoise. Management is seemingly nonexistent. Lines out the door is the norm for popcorn. All things considered, this experience reminds me why I usually wait for DVD. If theaters want to remain relevant, they really need to make the experience at least bearable for patrons. This theater is abysmal. read more

I'm just gonna get to it: 1. This theatre is very strangely located and getting to it is confusing and needlessly complicated. There's like 3 paved roads branching off of Valley Mills in the direction of the theatre and 2 of them are dead ends which makes getting into this god forsaken place ridiculously annoying. 2. $7 for a small soda. Yes, you read that right. SEVEN. DOLLARS. FOR. A. SMALL. SODA. I could buy two 12-packs of soda for that. Jesus christ. 3. The inside of the theatre smells like human piss. 4. The bathroom smells like a legitimate port-o-potty. The exact same smell of stagnant waste. Horrifying. 5. Despite the 3+ previews telling people to stay off their phones, what did everyone in the theatre do? Play on their phones the majority of the f*cking movie, with no employee in sight to enforce their no phone policy. What else did they do? Talk at full volume!!!! During the movie! After the horrendous pre-movie experience and the mannerless crowd, I had to walk out of the movie. To add insult to injury, AMC only offers refunds if you aren't able to attend the movie, so I'm out $17 for a terrible experience. Never going back here or any AMC theatre again. Didn't AMC just get a major boost of revenue from their stock sales? Use some of that money to fix this sh*t hole theatre, or at least clean it so it doesn't smell like piss. And maybe higher some teenager to enforce your no phone and no talking during the movie policy, yeah? read more

We had a terrible experience last night. I bought tickets online, showed up and the bar which is supposed to close at 800 was already closed at 740pm when the theater is open until 11pm. Since most adults like to drink at night this makes no sense. The fryers were out so forget dinner and a movie because almost the entire menu is fried. So right here two big draws of this business 'have dinner while you watch our movie! Have a cocktail too!" went right out hte window. We walked from the lobby to the hallway to the different screens and a guy stopped us to scan our tickets. This took a minute and a line built up behind us and he told us to go to theater 3. After the previews, my 12 year old was treated to the sight of 2 naked people having sex on the big screen because the guy directed us to the wrong theater. by this time the movie we actually wanted was well underway so I went back to get a refund, only to be told that the guy who scanned our tickets did not even work there. We could have walked in off the street and just gone to the movie without paying!. Out of the 50+ dollars spent on tickets, fees, popcorn, water and a flatbread pizza that we didnt eat i finally got a refund of 21 bucks. What a lousy experience. Never going again. read more

PART 1 - There was almost a fight in the movie theater between 2 groups of older ladies. This dark brunette and some teen with her sat wherever they pleased and not in their assigned seats. This other lady with dyed blonde hair and an elderly lady walk up to the dark brunette to say ma'm I think these are our seats. The brunette said and so what. The blonde hair lady said we have assigned seats. The brunette said we're not moving and you can call a manager. I was shocked at the audacity. PART 2 - So 10 whole minutes later, a tiny little staff boy walks up the dark brunette and unsurely said ma'm can I see your tickets. Then he said you can sit anywhere but here because it's someone elses seats. They moved only 2 seats down on the same row. It was about to get messy. Next the blonde haired lady and elderly lady get to sit in correct seats. BUT yes you guessed it?! These 2 girls come to claim the seats where brunette and teen girl are sitting. The brunette then finally leave the theater. They did not have any tickets to this movie. WOW. PART 3 - The room tension is gone and next thing I know, some kid has their feet on my chair and arm rest behind me. The young mother never stopped her child from kicking my chair the entire time, until I went to restroom. I come back and the kid finally stopped. My popcorn must have been scooped from the bottom and not cleaned out for awhile, because it was nothing but the butt-end parts for half of my box. The service I received from this one cashier girl was borderline rude and very immature. Her answer was we're out to everything not in quick reach. Maybe it was out which means AMC can easily restore the stuff. And the seats are uncomfortable too. What happened to this place? My suggestions: Have staff on visible duty in the theater until 5 mins after the previews. Some people DO NOT FOLLOW THE ASSIGNED SEAT ORDREAL. Have management there to deal with serious problems and not some teen kid who is just a staff member, but a trained/service oriented manager. Keep the place tidy. 5 mins into a movie, the drink station is a nightmare to see with stuff all over the place. Keep food area well stocked. Yes just common sense things. That is all. At 4 on October 23 we went to the theater for the last time. The two people st the counter were extremely rude. When I was shown screen for seating I assumed it was touch screen but Charlie rolled his eyes and smirked at other guy and said it's not touch screen. When I mentioned we could move to my friends we were informed that even if the theater was empty we had to stay in our seats!! Finally the one fellow had to tell Charlie how to count out my change. The rudeness was only the beginning. The theater is dilapidated with uncomfortable seating. Also absurd that they do not put film names with the numbers of the auditorium. We ran into several people who asked where a movie was. Never again. read more

This place is awesome! I really felt like I was in a grand theatre. They are very nice, and helpful if you have an issue. You want to give it a try while things are in the big theatre. Ordered $15 worth of food on the online application after :20 minutes the claim order was lost refused refund. Enough said. Cinamark in Waco is much nicer seats recline with foot rest and electricity heated. Also the have a larger selection on food that you actually get to eat. read more

I went with my family to see the "Sound of Freedom" and had heard of interruptions or inconveniences to movie goers who went to see this movie at various theaters across the country. Still we went to see it at the AMC Galaxy 16 in Waco, Texas on Sunday afternoon. The movie started and there were several moments I wanted to leave as the content of the movie was just too dark so to speak but we stayed as the message needed to be seen and heard. About an hour into the movie the feature stopped and the theater lights came on. No warning or anyone came in to advise what the interruption was. After about 5 minutes and still no one from the theater coming in to say what was wrong, I went to see what the problem was. One of the ticket takers said they were experiencing a power outage. I told them the other theaters features were still showing and he advised management was working on it. I returned to my seat and after about 10 additional minutes and still no movie or attendant coming into advise what was happening, I again went to speak to the attendant and was advised of the same. They were experiencing a power outage to which I replied we had checked and the local provider of electricity wasn't aware of any power outage. Returning to my seat the movie came on and ran for about a minute or two then stopped running again. This time I went to speak to the manager but found them not to be available. Returning to my seat once more, within a few minutes a young lady (manager) came into theater 10 where we were seated and advised of the power problem and several movie goers aired their opinions. When I spoke up about the problem having happened to other theaters she came to me so I wouldn't be so vocal apologizing for the inconvenience and the movie stared where it left off during the interruption. The movie continued from that point without further issues. As patrons were leaving the theater from our location #10 theater the same manager was standing there handing out free passes to see another movie apologizing for the inconvenience. This movie is about Human Trafficking and it is my understanding that powers beyond my pay grade have been trying to stop the showing of this film and similar theaters had experienced air conditioning problems or power outages possibly hoping patrons would probably leave from watching the feature. If you go to see this feature, I hope the same problem we had doesn't happen to you. Stay until the very end and watch the message following the film given by actor Jim Caviezel which explains better than I can in this brief review of my experience. The theater may not have been at fault. I just can't say the why except the whole experience shouldn't have happened! My choice of theatre around Waco. I am not a huge movie goer but when I do, I don't even think about going anywhere else but here. Price is unbeatable for students or military personnel. At $5, hell yea! Seats are comfortable, nothing fancy but they definitely love it. Best part is the arm rest goes up so you and your special other can seat comfortably beside each other like you'd do at home in a couch. I have no complaints. I recommend it for everyone :) read more

This is probably the most inefficient movie theater I have ever been to. The last couple of time going it has taken 30+mins to get tickets from 1 of only 2 kiosks. Then waiting in the snack line only about 10 people deep took almost an hour, should not have promised the kiddos a snack. If you go to this theater just like a flight get there 2 hours before your movie. The rocking seats are also getting old and breaking down. They all tilt forward now and by the end of the movie tour back hurts. read more

My family has ordered pretzel bites and while we were waiting we saw an employee grabbing pizza with a spatula, then use that same spatula to push down the trash in the trash bin then continued to use that same spatula to continue cooking. We complained to a manager and got a refund but he wasn't even phased or addressed the issue. We all had a terrible experience and will never come back to this theater. save your time and money and don't come to this location. read more

Yeah, my experience wasn't as horrendous as some of the previous reviews. Certainly kind of dingy and the theater smelled funny and was maybe a 6 out of 10 in the cleanliness department. But I don't think the girl at the register said one single word to me! She just looked at me, like, "What?" Walked in to a movie during previews. The sound was super loud. Painfully loud. I went out and asked the manager if she could turn down the volume. She said that the previews were having an issue but that the movie would be an appropriate volume. The volume never changed. I spent most of the movie with my fingers in my ears. read more

This theater was a great experience. I was able to see Star Wars 3D on Christmas with my family. I'm thankful they were open and hope the staff all got paid extra! The staff was nice, seats were comfortable, and experience was overall great. Definitely will go back next time I visit my dad. read more

This was my theater of choice 10-15 years ago when I lived in Waco and not much has changed since then except for one very big thing... THE SEATS! This theater is not a visually appealing location on the outside or inside but the movie quality is good and the seats are large and comfortable. Also, $5.00 Matinees (before 6pm) is a pretty good deal. We did not get concessions on our recent trip so I cannot verify cost or availability of items at this point. read more
