The only dine in San Diego AMC location. I come here every so often as its not the closest AMC to me. However if your ordering food having it delivered to your seat is awesome. They have a few food options which are not at the regular AMC's. The seats are nice and each one has a small tray table for eating which is cool.

    The Housemaid...10/10!!

This neighborhood AMC theater in Poway was comfy and cozy! Our party of 10 watched "The Housemaid" since our book club read the novel by Freida McFadden earlier this year. 10/10! The film certainly matched the book and the actors made this thriller even more thrilling!! The movie was showing in Theater 6, which had spacious reclining chairs and table tops for our drinks, popcorn, and nachos. You can place your order on the AMC app before your movie and it will be ready at your selected time when you arrive. The only downside was that the main restrooms are located on the second floor.

Amazing been coming here for years went here recently to watch the odyssey and Spider-Man both enhanced by amc, they truly make movies better (in desperate need of an IMAX screen though)

First time seeing a movie at this small AMC theater located in Poway. I saw Fantastic Four during the first weekend it was released so the theater was full. I was pleasantly surprised with the comfortable reclining seats. My popcorn and drink were also good. There's also a full service bar in the lobby should you want a cocktail . The bathrooms are located upstairs (movies are downstairs) and the parking in the strip mall was challenging as there are other businesses (restaurants, etc) utilizing the same parking lot.

    Moldy popcorn...beware

Came in to redeem my free large popcorn from AMC stubs. There were about 4 young employees working in the back (2 of them were facing the front counter) but no one acknowledged me for a few mins. After waving down someone's attention, I asked if I could take it to go, and they handed me a paper bag along with the filled large popcorn bucket. Once in the car, I poured most of it into the bag and started munching on the popcorn leftover in the bucket. I shook it around like I always do, but noticed in horror a couple shriveled kernels that appeared to have possible mold forming on it towards the bottom of the bucket. By then I had already eaten a few handfuls of the popcorn... had I not separated most of the popcorn, I would've probably eaten most if not all of it before finding it or ingested it unknowingly altogether. I called to ask if they make their popcorn fresh daily, and they said they do. When I told them what I had found, the employee seemed confused and not sure how to respond. I told them to alert management of my findings and he said he would. Not sure who's running this place now but it had def seen better days..this place could use some QC and better trained staff. I hope I didn't get sick from the free moldy popcorn. I won't be coming back.

We visit this location when we want to see a movie , closest one to our house , comfy reclining seats and for the most part a clean facility . Employees are friendly . The theater was a bit weird this time ... all dark to start .. had to use flashlights to find our seats in the beginning. Our movie start time hit and no movie .. so I went to the front and asked when our movie was going to start. The employee came to the theater and checked to see what was going on and within minutes , our movie started . So all in all, decent experience , they were attentive to problem solving . We will continue to come to this location. !

Do you know if the theatre requires vaccination?

No, they also don't require masks

Is there a phone number to call for this specific location?

    18584352783

Does the new spot allow you to bring alcoholic drinks into any theater or only specific 21-up ones?

It's not like cinepolis was (I haven't been in awhile). They allow alcohol in any theater. They have a bar that recently opened, but I haven't used it. I've seen them serve as early as 10:00. They don't deliver alcohol, but food works great.

    When is remodel complete?

The remodel is done! It's like night and day compared to the previous theater.

How much are ticket prices on tuesday?

For now they still have the $5 tickets if your part of the rewards program they call AMC stubs. It was easy to sign up for and earns points for discounts. Not a bad deal.

Are the new red seats going to be motorized to adjust legs and back?

I was talking to an employee about the same question. They said they have been told they are getting new chairs that will most likely be recliners by sometime next year!

While there's not shortage of parking, the spaces are very small and can be a tight squeeze. Theater lobby was clean, but it was a huge menu option for drinks and food available at the concession stand. It took us a few minutes to decide what we wanted. My husband got the burger and I got the loaded potato fries. We did not need both of these as the portions were huge. Everything was made to perfection! Probably one of the best burgers we have had at a movie theater specifically. The loaded fries were massive and there were no fry uncovered. The movie was good, seats were very comfortable, and it really made for a great one stop shop for a movie date night.

Today, it has completely transformed into a sleek, modern, and high-end cinema experience, making it one of our absolute favorite local spots for family movie nights. The auditorium layout is a huge upgrade. The plush recliners offer full recline capability, giving you that cozy, relaxed feeling right in front of the big screen. The updated lobby design is bright, airy, and welcoming from the moment you step through the doors. There is a full concessions and bar providing access to beer, wine, and craft options makes it a great way to kick back and chill before or during the show. On a recent family trip to see The Odyssey, we loved the comfortable setup, though my husband ran into a minor snag at concessions. During a mid-movie lobby run for snacks and drinks, he asked for a non-alcoholic beer (Bero)--the exact same thing we'd ordered earlier without any issue. This time, however, he was asked to present an ID. Since my husband had left his wallet in my purse back in the theater to keep it safe from the recliner cracks, he had to navigate a strict policy check mid-film without his card on hand. He spoke with the manager, who kindly offered a $10 credit and a free ticket for the trouble, which we appreciated. Funnily enough, when I stepped out a few minutes later for my coffee and grabbed his Bero for him, I wasn't carded at all! While service consistency can vary depending on which staff member is at the counter, the theater's overall comfort, great seating, and local roots still make it a place we love coming back to as a family. Tips: Keep Your ID on You: The theater has a policy requiring ID for adult beverages--including non-alcoholic craft beers like Bero. Make sure your partner keeps their ID in their pocket rather than leaving it in a purse inside the theater. Order Before Trailers Start: The recliners are so comfortable you won't want to get up, so grab all your cookies, drinks, and coffee before heading into the auditorium to avoid missing any of the movie.
