The acoustics are great...the ticket prices fair...and parking is NO problem and free. And lots of leg room unlike other theaters.

AMC POWAY 10 @ POWAY…read more Parking was super easy since AMC Theatres has a huge lot, there were plenty of spots when my friends and I went to watch Wuthering Heights. The place itself is massive, and getting in was smooth with quick ticket scanning. Pro tip: go on Tuesdays or Wednesdays because tickets are 50% off. Ours ended up being around $10 instead of $20, which is a huge difference. They have all the classic snacks, but they're definitely on the pricier side, we just grabbed popcorn, a slushy, and some candy. The layout is pretty straightforward: bathrooms are upstairs (women's on the left, men's on the right), and all the theaters are downstairs. The seats were a highlight, they recline and even have heating, which I've never seen before in a movie theater. The movie itself wasn't exactly what I expected, but still interesting to watch. Just be prepared there were about 45 minutes of ads beforehand. Overall, really great experience, and I'd definitely recommend checking out this AMC!

AMC do better on your "Gourmet Popcorn"…read more After asking the concession attendant if the street corn gourmet popcorn was any good. He enthusiastically said yes, so I purchased the larger container. Found my seat and started to eat some. Although I put a small dent in the contents, I brought the rest back to the BNB to enjoy later. But when paying a premium for "gourmet popcorn" one would think every piece would be delicious ang a whole kernel of popcorn. A fourth of my container was bits and pieces of non edible popcorn as I found this out later in the evening. Sadly I don't think if that is considered gourmet. I'll pass.

While there's not shortage of parking, the spaces are very small and can be a tight squeeze. Theater lobby was clean, but it was a huge menu option for drinks and food available at the concession stand. It took us a few minutes to decide what we wanted. My husband got the burger and I got the loaded potato fries. We did not need both of these as the portions were huge. Everything was made to perfection! Probably one of the best burgers we have had at a movie theater specifically. The loaded fries were massive and there were no fry uncovered. The movie was good, seats were very comfortable, and it really made for a great one stop shop for a movie date night.

Hiya B.U.M.S., If…read moreyou grew up around Carmel Mountain, you probably remember this spot as the classic neighborhood theater--complete with pay phones out front and youth hanging out after school. Today, it has completely transformed into a sleek, modern, and high-end cinema experience, making it one of our absolute favorite local spots for family movie nights. The auditorium layout is a huge upgrade. The plush recliners offer full recline capability, giving you that cozy, relaxed feeling right in front of the big screen. The updated lobby design is bright, airy, and welcoming from the moment you step through the doors. There is a full concessions and bar providing access to beer, wine, and craft options makes it a great way to kick back and chill before or during the show. On a recent family trip to see The Odyssey, we loved the comfortable setup, though my husband ran into a minor snag at concessions. During a mid-movie lobby run for snacks and drinks, he asked for a non-alcoholic beer (Bero)--the exact same thing we'd ordered earlier without any issue. This time, however, he was asked to present an ID. Since my husband had left his wallet in my purse back in the theater to keep it safe from the recliner cracks, he had to navigate a strict policy check mid-film without his card on hand. He spoke with the manager, who kindly offered a $10 credit and a free ticket for the trouble, which we appreciated. Funnily enough, when I stepped out a few minutes later for my coffee and grabbed his Bero for him, I wasn't carded at all! While service consistency can vary depending on which staff member is at the counter, the theater's overall comfort, great seating, and local roots still make it a place we love coming back to as a family. Tips: Keep Your ID on You: The theater has a policy requiring ID for adult beverages--including non-alcoholic craft beers like Bero. Make sure your partner keeps their ID in their pocket rather than leaving it in a purse inside the theater. Order Before Trailers Start: The recliners are so comfortable you won't want to get up, so grab all your cookies, drinks, and coffee before heading into the auditorium to avoid missing any of the movie. Just a reminder that it is still JUNE (and not balmy July or steamy Aug) and it does get cold in the inland north county at night. My daughter loves her teachers and dancing here, and as a mom (and someone whose own experience in dance was the old school approach where you were pushed beyond what was actually appropriate for your young body/mind) I appreciate that proper form and alignment are taught, even from a very early age, in a way that is recognizes her as an individual and builds her self esteem. And although the owners and instructors here are former professional dancers and each accomplished in their own rights, I love that the message at this studio is "LDI for all", whether your goal is for a future in the dance world, or just a nurturing environment for your child to learn discipline and movement. 5 stars!!!
