Best of the two movie theater options... mainly because they have better popcorn and attempt to clean more than the other!

I don't plan on coming back since customer service is poor and quality isn't acceptable. I understand this small AMC theater is limited in space, yet having snack concession stand combined with ticket stand isn't wise. If there were more customers, then the line would be packed outside. Additionally, room 9 had flickering projection causing distraction of enjoying the movie. I wouldn't pay to go back, even for matinee hours. read more

Very small AMC theater located at the Sikes Mall in Wichita Falls. It looks fairly new/renovated. It was quite empty when I went for an afternoon viewing so there were not many employees. The few that were on site were not very welcoming or friendly. You purchase tickets at the concession stand or you can purchase beforehand online (recommended). Overall it was pretty clean and the seating was comfortable as they have large recliners. read more

Definitely go here if you're looking for a smaller theater. The seat are the luxury loungers and are very comfortable.

Visiting my husband at Sheppard AFB and we used to go to the movies all the time when we were together. I luckily had an AMC gift card and we were able to go see the new Shang Chi Marvel movie. The theater is located inside of the mall. There weren't too many people as we went to an earlier showing. The seats were nice leather that reclined and had heated seats. All these reviews must have been written before they remodeled. I was in town visiting a relative and we decided to see a movie one afternoon. Granted we purchased our tickets online in advance and it wasn't very busy on a Monday at lunchtime but getting in and finding our seats was a breeze. The theater was small with a 40 seat capacity (5 rows, 8 seats each) but cozy. The reclining seats were comfortable and heated. Only one set of bathrooms but it was clean and functional. read more

I would give ZERO stars if possible. This place has been the worst movie theater I have ever been to, second to the Central Mall theater in Lawton. THIS PLACE IS A DUMP!! I can by no means recommend to anyone to suffer through a movie at this facility. Broken chairs throughout, ripped screens, blown speakers, filthy restrooms, and mold prevalent in the air. When is Carmike ever going to update this venue, or leave Sikes Senter and build a stand alone facility. The Carmike 8 in Lawton, just 50 miles up the road, is far superior to this one and does 1/2 the business yet they are in the process of building a new Carmike 14. The only thing keeping this Carmike 10 open is the continually renewed flow of new young military that passes through Wichita Falls (Sheppard AFB) that go here not knowing it's a theater from the 70's. I truly wish the command at SAFB would put a ban on the facility for health reasons to protect these unsuspecting military youths. Only if that were done would Carmike then do something about this dump. read more

Anna was the one who helped me. She did fine with my ticket and snack purchase. However, when it came to choosing my seat, I asked her where the door was located and she just said that she didn't know. Don't get me wrong-there are times when I don't know stuff about my job, but the way she handled it was as if it was okay that she didn't know and her supervisor was just a few feet away from her and I had to be the one to ask her supervisor rather than for her to do it herself. We can't be doing just the bare minimum, we need to also be more empathetic with our flaws at work. 1 Corinthians 9:25: "Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wealth, but we an imperishable." We need to always strive to do our best with our job and not just the minimum. God bless. read more

We won't pay money to go here anymore. The mall theater often has the movies we want to see, but we'd rather wait and watch them at home than pay that much to be tortured. The theaters stink! They're small. The staff obviously doesn't care. The volume was so loud it actually made me cringe through most of the movie. We saw a movie tonight after waiting in line for 15 minutes at the concession stand to buy tickets (no one working at the ticket booth in the front). The theater smelled of sweaty men that worked in the sun all day. It was musky and warm in the theater. The curtains on the wall were tattered and torn. The restrooms were disgusting! The same urine and paper filled toilets from the beginning of the movie were still dirty with the same contents 2 hours later when the movie ended. The app would not allow less than one star and this theater didn't earn the one posted. Next time, we'll wait for the movie to be released on video if it's playing at this theater. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

This place was way past due for a complete renovation, and it is FINALLY happening! Several of the theaters are completed, and they are equipped with power-reclining seats, etc. that have been available in the DFW area for several years. The only reason I am not giving five stars is that I am anxiously awaiting the completion of the other theaters and the lobby area. The *surround* sound works half the time allowing a bleed through of the children's movie next door. The projection room light being left on until someone complains is quite annoying as well. For $40, not quality service. read more

Tried to go see a movie last night at this theater and what a complete disappointment. Of course the tickets were $21. Then we went to buy popcorn and a large bottle of water. $16 later the girl disappears and comes back and they are out of large waters. She asked if we wanted a large Coke instead we don't drink Coke so we asked for 2 small waters instead. She proceeded to get a large drink cup and put tap water in it for the same price. I asked for bottled water not tap and for sure I was not going to pay $5.50 for tap water. So we asked for a manager and a kid with a bone in his nose and holes in both ears big enough to put my thumb through. He says they can't give 2 small bottles for 1. Then he say let me get the manager and instead of having good customer service and giving us the 2 bottles of water he tells he can't because of inventory. Ridiculous we ended up getting a refund on both the movie tickets and popcorn and water paid for. What happened to customer service. They over charge for water the airports don't charge as much as the movie theater. Sikes senter theater needs to take a look at there employees and customer service!!! read more

First, this theater is in Wichita Falls. Maybe it has the wrong town listed to stop reviews. The theater is possibly the worst theater in existence today, non-theater seating, small screens with rips or holes in most, obvious existence of tons of mold, damp and ripped seats, doesn't have surround sound, not a good seat in the place. God help you if there is action on the sides of the movie because about 20 percent of the movie is cut off due to the small screens. They out pay the good theater for the best movies to force attendance and charge 25-50 percent more than the good one. This place shouldn't even be a dollar theater and especially not one of the most expensive, non-dining theaters in the state. I am moving in 3 weeks and one of the things I am most excited about is going to see top movies at theaters that aren't killing me every time I take a breath and where the movie can actually fit on the screen. read more

This place is definitely either a last resort or most of the time not even an option. Luckily the cinemark down the street is about the same price on tickets and refreshments and offers a better more enjoyable experience. The theaters are clean, the staff is friendly, and I love going down the halls to the theater because they have pictures of the classic movies. So I would definitely recommend cinemark before sikes. read more

More like negative five if I could score this right.... Terrible customer service. Tried to see a 4:00 movie today. Young cashier says oh, that showing has been cancelled. We had a water leak in that theater. They moved it to 7:30. Oh wait no 7:20. My husband said incredulously "in the SAME" theater. Oh no. In a different theater. Okay..... so I asked to be given the 4:00 price for the 7:20 show. Has to call a manager. First dude shows up can't answer. Assistant manager shows up. Large heavyset woman. The cashier explains and the asst mgr freaks out that she told us about the leak. Claims there is No leak. The cashier is new and doesn't know what she is talking about. Then proceeds to tell ME that I had googled the movie times incorrectly and that the movie was never on at 4:00. We could not believe our ears. If that cashier were my child I would not allow her to work there. As we declined to see a show at this theater... the assistant manager was chewing the young girl out for telling us. This place is really bad. It is the traditionally theater. The floor is sticky, there is trash all over, the chairs are either broken or uncomfortable. Most of the staff is way too worried about each other then helping the customers. The only time I went is if they were carrying a movie I wanted to see really bad. I had to want to see the movie really bad or I would skip it just because of the theater. Avoid this place if at all possible. read more

I have to say I agree with all the previous yelper's on this place...My wife and I gave it a chance and went to go see a movie here because it wasn't playing at the other nicer movie theater....? You may ask why was it not playing at the other theater? was it some weird indy movie? No, it was Guardians of the galaxy vol2. Yet somehow these two movie theaters have some odd deal that allows this place to stay in business. The screens are ridiculously tiny, and ours had a bunch of wrinkles in the bottom corner...The formatting from the projector also cut off words off the edges of the movie. The seats are old, the rooms are tiny, I am it just goes on and on. I have gone to $1 movie theaters that have been better than this place. Do yourself a favor and skip the movie if it's playing here, you'd be better off. read more

Carmike is old and always has a musty awful smell to it. The photos show they are aware of it, but these machines do very little to help with the smell. Could it be Mold? I have stopped going there and will just wait for a movies to come out on a DVD instead of enduring 2 hours of stench. read more

I've avoided this theater because of the poor reviews, but Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 wasn't playing at the nicer theater. We showed up for the earliest showing on a Saturday and they didn't let anyone into the theater until right at the time that the movie was supposed to start. Any they only sold tickets at the concession stand, so everyone had to wait in the concession stand just to get into the theater. It was a mess. Stick to the other theater if you have a choice. read more
