This is a nice theater, with large screens, and large prices. My family and I have been there a few times. It's fun, but just too expensive for a one-income household that would like to take their three grandchildren with them--which is why we go to the Vaska now. The points in favor of this theater are the longer run. They have more screens so the movies can stay on for a long time, unlike small theaters. It's very professional compared to a small theater which is more friendly. They have a huge concession stand including icees. And I think they have an autism-friendly day once a month where everything is toned down not to overstimulate. It's a 50/50 on visiting. Military families, younger singles will probably love this. Older people who don't have a lot of disposable income will probably want to choose somewhere else read more

When we go on a date We try to support Lawton, OK, vendors. And there is nothing better than a great movie, lunch or dinner, and hanging with my partner in right seat ride life mate, Julia, and I have been together since 1985. So, when you feel like things are missing, something just isn't clicking at home; pack up and head to the best show in town. This theatre is very clean and the staff was very kind. The only reason I cannot give 5 stars is because the seats are not the most comfortable. There are so many newer and reclining options, this theatre could use an upgrade. Note: arrive with at least 20 minutes before your movie start time if you plan to get snacks. Overall, it was your typical movie theater. But, needs some improvement. They have a lot of theaters which means a lot of times and selection of movies. I was surprised to see no ticket window. There is one line where you order tickets and snacks. We went midday during the week and it took about 10 minutes of waiting in line with two people in front of us. The employees were moving very slow!! I can't imagine how long it would take on a busy day. Moving on to the theater, there was trash on the floor and seats and it very stuffy. There has always been people cleaning the handful of times I have been there and everybody has been more than nice. Great place to catch a film. Total let down. Sticky lobby floors, dirty bathrooms, no toilet paper or paper towels. The floor in the theater hadn't been vacuumed, there was trash on the floors under the seats and the cup holders were sticky and had liquid in them. Didnt look like they even cared to clean the place. We paid for IMAX 3D. Was told the movie was in 3D. Found out before the movie started it was in standard form. Previews started playing and were in 3D. So everyone got up to go get their glasses and were told it's not 3D. So everyone sat back down. They had to restart the previews over again in standard form. Wont go back to this location anytime soon. Not to mention the concession stand prices are way overpriced. They did give up 5 free movie tickets for the inconvenience of having to pay for a movie we didn't actually see (3D). read more

I just went to go see the new Barbie movie and then as soon as I walked in, they were talking about popcorn and I knew they were making fun of me for eating too much popcorn, and not to mention when I was walking to my theater and I had to turn in my ticket. Worst movie experience ever! Kids were VERY disrespectful & disruptive through the whole movie. Security had serious issues getting them under control and they were all very loud. At one point employees were shining a VERY bright flashlight into the audience blinding everyone. They were cleaning something up off the floor & not paying any attention to where they were shining the light. The middle of the movie two kids came & sat right next to me (even though there were 6 empty seats beside me) then sat there on their phones the rest of the movie. Kids sat behind us and kicked the back of our seats through the whole movie. Some adult supervision of these children is HIGHLY recommended!! AMC has boasts of cleanliness and disinfecting their theaters. But the patriot is the nastiest theater I have ever seen. We were there for the first movie of the day, so it wasnt for frequency of use. The self serve area clearly hasn't been cleaned in a while. My shoes were sticking to the floor. There were signs for provided disinfectant wipes that were all empty. No paper towels in bathrooms. It was filthy. Plus, I had to get up and inform them that our movie was 10 min late is starting. By the time they got it up and running, it was 25 min behind schedule Not on apology or offer of refund/discount/free concession. It was my first time at this theater and doubt that I'll be back. read more

This theater has been bought out by AMC. As of July 2017, I will not place a positive review for the substandard management methods in place at this location. I highly recommend you DO NOT purchase their overpriced concessions. Go out and have a nice dinner before coming here, get your money's worth there. Jeez, what a filthy theatre! So, right away there were red flags. When you first walk in, you notice the trash cans literally overflowing. I had to kick some trash away from the front door to get in. The setup upon entry is odd... with the way it's set up, you'd think they were exapecting a thousand people to watch a movie on a Sunday afternoon. Anyway, you buy tickets at the concession counter. None of the employees had a personality at all. No smiles, no gratitude, nothing. So we walk down the hall to find the theatre. OK, this is big: there were literally no lights on. Only aisle lights. So, we are stumbling in the dark, trying to find a seat, and hoping we don't sit in someone's lap. Horrible. I joked, "well if I fall and break my hip again, that will not be fun." The movie was loud, but I guess I got used to it. All in all, the movie was great. The theatre was the real horror movie. read more

I honestly don't know why I keep coming here. I've never seen a movie worth dealing with this place. Of the four or five times I've given it a chance, there have been problems with getting tickets and actual technological problems with the movie itself. Once, the movie kept cutting out and we were promised a refund, but the "manager" there at the time conveniently left before that happened and none of the kids working there were able to process a refund. Another time the sound was completely messed up and "couldn't be fixed." Another time, the mechanism that sized the screen to the film wasn't working so it didn't look right. I got up three times to complain before it was actually fixed. I don't even want to talk about the lines and this AMC premier nonsense - it doesn't matter what you do or what club you join, expect to stand in line for 30+ minutes to get in. How absurd that this new place was built, ran the other theater out of business so there is another empty eyesore around here, and the new one is a train wreck in every aspect. read more

Terrible service (attitudes, soda machine, restrooms), terrible audio, terrible experience!

We went to the movies tonight June 6 2023. After we purchased our tickets popcorn and soda we went to fill up our drinks and popcorn the soda machine was super filthy and the person filling the popcorn was dripping sweat into the popcorn, when I mentioned it to him he said sorry its super hot. So I went up to the front counter to let them know what was going on and the laughed and said they would fill my popcorn up there. The theater was super hot and muggy and the audio was hard to hear. As we were leaving there was an older woman in a panic saying she found bedbugs on her seat and clothing, I did not however but will not be bringing the clothes in the house. I rate this as a 1 horrible experience and not an enjoyable evening for 76 dollars. read more

HOW RUDE and unprofessional! I am very displeased with treatment at Patriot Theaters, Lawton. As an after Christmas treat I took my 6 year old grandson to see "Clifford". I had checked time on line, arriving, we purchased tickets saying "Clifford", got snacks, seated ourselves and watched previews. As "Clifford" started and the lights dimmed, the manager appeared, saying "I think you're in the wrong theater, this theater has been reserved and they, indicating a group of 15 or less people, have complained that you are here. They paid $500." I handed him my tickets and left with him. He told me "Clifford" was no longer being shown except a private showing. He offered "Sing 2" but after watching 10 minutes, my grandson said he didn't care for that. We were given passes for another time/movie but that doesn't make up for the embarrassment and tears of disappointment of being thrown out of "Clifford"! read more

I want to like this theater more than I do. It's newer, it's nice, and the IMAX is worth it - for those blockbusters movies. It's only assigned seating for the IMAX. Two major flaws with this theater. First, the refreshments are entirely over-priced. It was cheaper when I was in DC. You can only order a bucket of popcorn if you're a club member (whatever that means). So, you're buying a typical medium bagged popcorn for $7. Second, the way they operate their ticketing and refreshment line (singular) is ridiculous. You need to show up at least 30-45 minutes early when a new blockbuster comes out. read more

This movie theater is the dirtiest I've ever seen. It looks new but not taken care of at all. I will say the service is always amazing.

The one thing I dont like about this place is that the arm rests do not recline with the chairs which makes it harder to cuddle with my love. Other than that, this is a new movie theater so very thing is very modern and family friendly. The lobby is clean and the employees always provide great customer service and are friendly. I love, love that this theater is now an amc because of the Premier Member Rewards we get. read more

The best theatre you are going to get in Lawton. The way they set up the concession and ticket line as one is a bit ridiculous. Cleanliness is okay, prices are on par with other locations I've been to, and the food is average as well. All in all not a bad theatre just not amazing. read more

Love the new movie theater. I waited a month after opening to first check it out because I didn't want to get crushed by the crowds. Pleasantly surprised that the city of Lawton can have a nice movie theater. I am not sure why they have cup sizes since the drinks are serve yourself. I've never seen a popcorn station either. But it cuts down the time it takes when in line at the concessions I suppose. The seats are nice and comfortable and give a little rock back. Everything is pretty new and clean still. Haven't been to a movie yet where the crowd was disrespectful. If I have to choose a theater in town, I'd choose the patriot. I just don't like the idea of going to the mall to see a movie. The theater is nice and clean. If you're a local, I would highly recommend the AMC premium membership--you get up to 3 movies per week, buckets of popcorn, free refils, $5 Tuesdays and more. Its really like a better version of MoviePass. Back to the theater... seats don't recline but the armrests do raise up if you want to snuggle. Of course popcorn and drinks are overpriced and the line is long--that's the way movie theater chains go these days. I think Lawton was spoiled for too long by the cute like Vaska theater. If you're going for a blockbuster movie, I strongly recommend eating before you go and going early. read more

Spent a lot of money on popcorn and soft drinks and out of six soft drink dispensers - no Coke, no Dr. pepper, and sprite was weak.

I went one time and I typically like a lot of jalapeños with my nachos.. the worker told me she was not going to give me the amount I wanted. Okay, cool. I can let that slide. We joined stubs, went to take our 5 year old to see bumblebee at the 11am showing... doors locked. No signs on the doors. Lots of other patrons in the parking lot. And no one answering calls. Called the stubs ticket agency and they said it should be open. Poor customer service. Fortunately another theatre saved the day for us and our 5 year old who had his sights set in bumblebee today! read more

This was a great theater when Carmike opened it. Now that AMC has taken over- the place is always dirty, the floor is sticky, theater rooms are not cleaned, chairs are broken and drink stations are never refilled. I have gone 4 times in the last 2 months, I rarely go during busy times, and the staff is always standing around chatting. I DON'T blame the staff, I blame the lack of management. The staff can't do a good job if they are not trained or given tasks and goals to complete during their shift. It's really sad that we can't get someone to take pride in operating this theater. read more

We took the kids to see Beauty & the Beast this weekend. We arrived at 4:30pm to view the 5:00pm showing. By the time we got our tickets and goodies we were seated and ready for the movie at 4:50pm. I'm not exaggerating when I say this - we sat through almost 45 minutes of commercials and previews !!!!!! I don't ever remember sitting through this much pre - movie junk. Someone, please tell me if this is the new norm or not for this place. If it is - I will go somewhere else or just show up 40 mins after the start time. read more

Headsets don't work for hearing impaired and the employees have no idea how to work them and no management ever seems to be around to help. Staff doesn't seem to know how to do anything other than take tickets or serve popcorn. My last 2 visits were causing me to miss at least 30 minutes of the movie by me trying to get a headset that works. Plus my last visit a employee was supposed to bring me a headset but he never came back with it. VERY DISAPPOINTED! read more

I've been here 3 times now. The first time was to see Star Wars:Rogue One in IMAX 3D. It was incredible! Great sound and screen! But then I went back and saw Hidden Figures (great movie) and La La Land (ok movie) but during both of those movies I had to LISTEN TO THE NOISE OF STAR WARS - Rogue One IN THE OTHER THEATERs!!!! How can you spend that damn much money building a theater and NOT sound proof the walls between the theaters!!! Also....$6 for popcorn??? and another $6 for a drink? hahahaha I don't think so!!! Bottom line -- go here ONLY if you want to see something on the IMAX screen....and smuggle in your own drink/snack. But go somewhere else for regular movies. You should NOT have your movie ruined because you can hear all the noise in the next theater over.... read more

Their expensively priced tickets for the 3D screen has a defect right in the middle of the screen. It's a huge distraction, and even though I have told them and complained about it Carmike still has not fixed it. The tickets are not worth the the price when you have to try to ignore defects in the screen. I am going to get friends and family to 1 star the theater until fixed. When fixed I will give a five star. read more
