I have been coming to Amelia's Salon for at least 20 years. Three generations of my family come here. I trust the stylists to give me a fabulous cut, color, or any other service I require. They are cutting edge, too. (Pun intended.) The stylists keep up with current trends in the business by attending workshops and other professional development. They are super friendly and have given me great advice over the years regarding products and help with hair emergencies, too. Honestly I've been at Amelia's Salon for over 10 years now. I've had anything from natural black hair to, red, even purple highlights. I have never been disappointed with anything my stylist suggests or does for me! I am in every 5 weeks and have EXTREMELY curly hair. I have been to other salons that do not know how to manage my curls, but these ladies (Mel and Tona and Jen) are exceptional at keeping my curls under control and beautiful. I received a text from my Stylist that she would be booking me an appointment. I was very excited to get in within 5 days. I felt so comfortable from the beginning of my appointment to the end. I was given instructions as to the protocol that is now put in place when you arrive for your appointment. Wait in your car until you get a text from your Stylist that it is your turn. Met in the parking lot, with both of us wearing masks, getting my temperature taken, and applying hand sanitizer. Everything was done so professionally, and done by the rules set in place. I honestly can't tell you how long I've been going to Amelia's, but I can tell you I've moved four times from North Shore MA to Seacoast Maine and I make the trip every month! Sheriley is an amazing colorist and stylist. During the pandemic, they have taken every precaution to make my visit safe and satisfying -- the staff have been divided into two groups that work on opposite days, so the salon is never crowded, they take your temp, disinfect hands before you are seated, masks are worn full time and stations are disinfected after each client. I am fairly new to Amelia's. I have been seeing Jenna for a cut and color for about one and a half years. She is fabulous! I always leave her chair happy. She gives the best haircut and excellent color. I like to change my haircut and color and she is happy to work with me. My hair always looks great when I leave. My wife has been going to Amelia for, well ever since I can remember probably close to 30 years. My husband and I have been going to Amelia's since June 2019. We are very pleased with the hair services we receive. I go to Amelia for color and cut and my husband goes to Tona for cut. Hubby says Tona is an excellent stylist and she is the best he has been to. I like Amelia's cuts and styling and she works with me to get the color I like.
