I was honestly not impressed. I've been getting the same hair cut and color for years, and while the cut was good, the color was ridiculously overpriced for what I ended up with. Maybe it was shock coming from a region of the country where the same thing was literally half the price, but still.. The balayage looked like simple highlights, and the overall process took over 4 hours. Then she verbally asked for a tip. For a service that was almost $300 ($250 with tip). Want your hair confidence back? Ally Witham is your girl! I was the girl that used her hair as a security blanket! And after years of bleaching, it was terribly damaged. I really didn't realize how bad it was! My mom is a hairdresser and has been doing my hair since I was little, she would try to cut my hair, but I refuse to let her. I didn't want to risk her cutting off my hair and being upset with her. So I decided to try a new hairstylist that way if I didn't love my hair I wouldn't be upset with my mom. Again, this was a huge deal because I have never let anyone else touch my hair - and like I said earlier, I was very attached to the length. But after seeing Ally's amazing work on social media, I knew I could trust her! when I got to the salon, she greeted me with a big smile on her face. She asked me what I had in mind for my hair, and how I want to style it at the end of my appointment. I knew my hair was really damaged, I expressed to her that I didn't want to lose length unless I had to but overall, I wanted it healthy! Ally knew I was nervous, and took great care of me. We started off at the bowl with a relaxing shampoo and then onto the cut! She knew I was nervous so she would only cut a little off at time and worked her way up. Each time she cut more she would not only ask what I thought but if I was doing okay. The final results in the pictures below speak for themselves, she did an AMAZING job! I was shocked that I still felt like I had beautiful hair even tho I had lost the length! I was happy with my hair again and couldn't be happier that I made the decision to go see Ally! I am very particular when it comes to my hair. I would want it to be noticeable leaving the salon but didn't like the change usually. I first started going to ally with my mom when she was at another salon. My mom warned her from the start but ally didn't take that as an obstacle. She did my hair with confidence while also giving me the assurance and constantly checking in with me. When ally moved to eclipx I was going with her, no doubt. I never died my hair, I was always too scared to. When I built up the courage to ask about doing something different ally encouraged me. I was amazed with the way it looked. It didn't change my look but rather emphasized my natural color, which was exactly what I was looking for. I never leave without a nice blowout. I love it so much that ally took the time to teach my how to create the look myself on my own. Another time I went to the salon, she offered tinsel and feathers, an idea she brought to salon herself. It was the perfect idea as it brings something new and fun to my hair without the commitment. Ally listens to all of my very particular needs and I have not left a salon crying since I've gone to her. Now, I give ally full range. Hair stylist Zach has been my go-to stylist for a while now. He does outstanding work and does what I want, while also keeping my hair healthy. In November, I dyed my hair from blonde back to my natural dark brown. By January, I was booking an appointment with him to go back to blonde. Since I did go so dark, Zach explained to me that in order to keep my hair healthy, we'd have to gradually go lighter. Now I am back to fully blonde and have never had prettier or healthier hair! They do exactly what you want and have great recommendations. I love Clare, but all of the stylists really care about the clients and know what they're doing. Prices are reasonable. They take their time and make sure you're happy when you leave. I love it here. They have 2 adorable dogs that will greet you when you come in. A great selection of products and fun promotions. They have a Happy Hour, where you can get specials on blow outs and dry cuts. Ohhh they also do wedding parties!! They will be moving to Amesbury in January, next to a gym and an ice cream shop, next to the downtown. This place is awesome!! I said that I was considering canceling the next cut, because it was cut a little too short and i need more time to have it grow back. As the date grew closer, i decided I would keep the apt, to clean up the back, but then learned they canceled the appointment without notifying me or reaching out to reschedule. read more

I have not had an experience like this getting my hair cut in a long time. I walked in and stood around for almost 10 minutes with no one to greet me at the desk. Then I finally went back to get my hair cut and she wanted to cut it dry. In 15 minutes she stated she was finished, and what did I think. I could not tell exactly as she had sprayed my hair wet and never even got to the point of combing it. So I combed it with my fingers and asked about a shampoo. She reluctantly brought me to the sink and gave me a rapid shampoo with Luke warm almost cold water. No towel or drape on me. At that point it was back to the chair and again I was asked how I liked it, though she had done nothing more to it. My hair was literally dripping wet. Again no comb, no style and maybe the worst thing is that she never cleaned up around my ears, never cleaned up my neck area, never trimmed the brows. I left there stunned with soaking wet hair. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away as possible from this place. That was a 50 dollar bill down the drain but it is a lesson learned for me. They still have an awful lot to learn, and with the way I was treated I don't see that happening anytime soon. read more

Eclipse salon has done my hair several times over the summer because I can barely put my hair in a ponytail with one hand more or less blow dry it. I have had some OK hair cuts there but nothing special or good. I have gone back to the person I went to for 20 years in Andover. The women don't know how to give a good cut or expect you back in 3 weeks. The last cut was the biggest loser. I am a CEO of biomedical companies and expect to have an outstanding cut.
