Amerant Bank Arena is the home of the Florida Panthers games and also the main large capacity concert venue in Broward County within the city of Sunrise. You can see this arena off of the Sawgrass Expressway and it's pretty easy to navigate to. I recently attended the Ariana Grande concert at this venue and I loved how on top of communication they were on their social media handles. Compared to other concerts I've been to and seen for the prep beforehand, they were always transparent with their bag policy, safety measures, door open times, and parking information. This concert venue was also way easier to navigate into than most others that I've attended. For parking, they charge a ridiculous amount, at least for the concert I went to. $50 for parking may be somewhat the norm nowadays but I think that is crazy considering how heavy ticket prices are. There is truly no reason to charge that much, at least from what I can tell. That on top of there being a bottleneck when leaving the venue is a bit wild. We opted to park at Sawgrass across the street and walk over, as did a lot of folks. This was the best way to pregame as a lot of concert goers chose to eat at one of the nearby restaurants. Other than the parking, a great venue. The staff was helpful and friendly. I felt safe the entire time and there was a good amount of food options, drink options, bathrooms, and space. read more

Four days ago on April 14, we drove out to the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida to see the Cardi B concert!! It is a major sports and entertainment venue and is most famous as the Home of the NHL's Florida Panthers!! It hosts hockey games, concerts, family shows, and other large events, with a capacity of around 20,000 for hockey and more for concerts. Parking was $50. To save time and money, it is best to pre-purchase your parking ticket online. Ladies should check the allowed size of their handbags online or they won't get thru security. We wore our special small see-thru plastic crossbody bags made for stadiums that are a little larger than our cell phone. It's a pain but it's the rule. The Cardi B concert was great and her fans were loving the many songs that she performed. Her background dancers were fabulous. The sound machine was working perfectly. For some reason, she was 45 minutes late in appearing but we quickly forgave her once she started her wild R rated show. We had seats at the South Florida BMW Finally Suite Level on the upper and final level, where we were very comfortable and they provided delicious food and drinks for us as well as super comfy couches. This arena is so much fun! Every time I go to see the Panther's play, I have the best time. As soon as I enter the doors, the excitement starts. There are food and beverage options everywhere. Yes, the prices are high, but often part of the proceeds go to a local high school band. I usually eat before going and just order one drink and a snack. The staff are friendly and helpful. In all my visits, I can't remember anyone being rude. They have to follow certain rules due to security which is understandable. The Amerant Bank Arenais clean, lit up and beautiful. I love this arena. The staff is friendly and the parking is great. It's never a hassle to leave the stadium and I have never been stuck in traffic trying to leave. During this visit I noticed there was a coffee cart and I had to try it. It was the castaway coffee cart and boy was this coffee bitter. We also got the cinnamon pretzel and it was stale. I usually get the chicken tenders and this has always been fulfilling. Next time I'll stick to what I know and get the tenders I like lol. Fun arena and great atmosphere. They hosted an event before game time, so we were able to arrive around 5, meet Stanley, and take photos. They also included a fun jersey, which was a nice touch. The arena is in a great location, right across from Sawgrass Mills. There is plenty of parking available for a fee, usually around $35 to $50. Tickets and all pregame information are easily accessible through the SeatGeek and Panthers apps, and everything is electronic. There are lots of food options, including food court style burgers, fries, hot dogs, chicken tenders. and pizza. On the first floor, there is Funky Buddha, fresh Mexican options, and a few other branded spots. On the 300 level, they even have Playa Bowls. There are also small grab and go markets for snacks and drinks, along with multiple bars throughout the arena. The arena itself is beautiful for gameplay, with great music and lighting effects. Every seat offers a solid view, with a full 360 perspective of the ice. The DJ does a great job energizing the crowd during big moments, and there are fun activities during breaks in play. The two intermissions last about 20 minutes each. There are plenty of restrooms and tables for convenience. Overall, it is a great experience. read more

Ah, Amerant Bank Arena -- where dreams, pucks, and overpriced nachos all collide in glorious South Florida harmony. I went to catch a Panthers game, and let me tell you -- this place roars. Literally. Between the crowd, the music, and the guy behind me who still thinks he's auditioning for a beer commercial, it's electric. Home of the back-to-back Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers (still fun to say, isn't it?), the arena feels like hockey heaven in flip-flops. There isn't a bad seat in the house -- unless you're sitting behind the guy waving a giant foam paw every time the Panthers score (which, these days, is often). The new scoreboard deserves its own zip code. It's massive, ultra-HD, and probably visible from space. If you squint, you can count the goalie's eyelashes. The sound system is also cranked up and crisp -- you can practically feel the bassline of "Sweet Caroline" in your sternum. Getting there? A breeze -- at least by South Florida standards. Right off the Sawgrass, plenty of parking, and an easy escape route for anyone who eats too many arena hot dogs and needs a quick exit strategy. Criticism: inconsistency on drink quality depending upon the bartender you get and the pretzels can get stale. All in all, Amerant Bank Arena is the perfect mix of energy, comfort, and chaos -- like watching hockey inside a nightclub that serves pretzels shaped like pucks. Five stars. Go Cats. read more

Last Wednesday was awesome! We had a company event at the Amerant Bank Arena, and honestly, they nailed it. The place is spotless, well organized, and the staff couldn't be friendlier and everyone seemed genuinely happy to help. Depending on your ticket package, you can enjoy some great food and drinks that really take the whole experience up a notch. Now, here's the part that's a little disappointing... I've reviewed this place a few times before, but Yelp doesn't seem to keep their listings straight. There are multiple pages for the same business and location, and every time you check in, you get bombarded with review request emails. Meanwhile, Google somehow manages to keep everything neat and tidy. Maybe Yelp should take a few notes and NOT make this review invisible as they often do when one is brutally honest about there experience! Anyway, I hope this quick review helps others out. The Amerant Bank Arena or best known as the Florida Panthers' home venue. This venue holds hockey games and concerts. Designed to fit about 20,000 people. I never been to one of their hockey games but been to a few concerts. It is spacious and has good sound quality. The roads are usually blocked for events. I always pay for parking near the venue to avoid delays getting out but many people prefer to park at the Sawgrass mall as it is free. Last couple of concerts the lines to the entrance have been extremely long and found the staff to be disorganized and a bit aggressive. My daughter and I waited in line for about an hour and half outside and almost got rained on. We were confused whether it was the outside merch line or what?. I noticed other people asking what the line was for too. Later they split the line and staff were yelling sending people to use the other back entrance to speed up the security check . Quite an ordeal. Make sure your pocket books are small size otherwise they won't let you in. You can check the requirements prior to the concert. Finally made it inside and we encounter another long line this time the merch line but that was expected. Best time to buy merch is to sneak out mid concert. No lines and quick buy. Inside you will find plenty of food and drinks stands. We ordered Hooey Magoo chicken tenders and a water $27 and a kosher hot dog and chips for $15. Hot dog was delicious or maybe I was starving. Regardless, we got our food and drinks then headed to our seats. Seats were comfortable and we had a nice view. The Arena tends to be a bit cold so bring a little sweater just in case. We were there to see Seventeen Kpop band. Concert was great and high energy and a lot of fun. Once the concert ended, we were able to get out quickly. read more

Hubby and I came here to see one of my favorite dancehall artist, Vybz Kartel. Parking was a breeze as the attendants direct you where you need to be swiftly. Getting through into the area was a piece of cake also as security keeps the lines moving at a steady pace. We looked for our seating area right away which is clearly marked and proceeded to get some refreshments. Lots of vendors to choose from. I thought we had an aisle seat but we were next to some plexiglass glass that separated us from the other set of seats. A bit cramped but we were on our feet dancing most of the time. This arena is always clean, lit and safe. I absolutely love the amount of parking it has and how organized the staff is before and after the game. I recently came for a Panthers vs. Devils game and my experience has been the same. This time to eat, I bought nachos with a mango white claw. The nachos were okay and the white claw was on sale. The only reason why I'm not giving this arena 5 stars it's because I find that the parking, food and drinks are overpriced. Definitely need to update this review cause the home of the Florida Panthers has been through a few name changes...now being called Amerant Bank Arena. I have come here a few times to see WWE events with my son cause we're big wrestling fans and also the Missy Elliot concert with Ciara and Busta Rhymes, but tonight I'm here to see ventriloquist, Jeff Dunham. This is my second time seeing his show. I arrived 30 minutes early. Found a decent park at the Sawgrass Mills Mall to avoid paying the parking fee at the arena...$45 plus tax to park...really?! It's ok I took my time making the 10-15 min. walk towards the arena, went through security, and scanned my e-ticket for entry. Once inside I quickly found my section, row, and seat. Jeff Dunham started the show telling stories about himself, his family, and talked a bit about current events which was mostly political; and with the aid of his puppets: Walter, Bubba J, Larry, Achmed, Peanut, and Jose Jalapeno (on a steek); the jokes became a mixture of humor with some raunchiness, which I hope didn't offend certain people. Overall the show was interesting and depending on the event, I will be returning. read more

Was here for a concert. And really the whole process was so smooth. We pre-paid the parking and as soon as we entered the arena space, there was staff scanning the tickets and guiding you to the appropriate lots. We parked pretty close to the entrance so it was a short walk up the stairs to the entrances. I was amazed with how quick the entrance process was. They had all the doors opened and they were getting people through security very quick. Once inside, I like the fact that it's very clean and spacious. There's a bunch of places where you can get some food and several kiosks to get drinks. Of course keep in mind the drinks come with some steep prices. The nice part of the arena is all the cool Panthers memorabilia. There's some really nice photo ops even if you're not there for a game. Go Panthers! The venue itself has great seating and great sound. I feel like every seat had a great view of the stage. read more

Came here during a field trip and it was very cool. I visited many different stations (I mostly just picked papers and other stuff) tho I did engage in a couple of fun activities such as playing with a VR headset against other students (yes I'm a high schooler) and learning how to flip stuff on pans lol. I even went inside a Kia as well as a police car. I also flew a plane in a simulation thing and it was fun. The Amerant Bank Arena is a blast to visit for a Defending Stanley Cup Champion Panthers Hockey team. Located right in the middle of sunrise, it's easy to park at with options including the sawgrass mall just right across the street. Once inside, there are multiple levels and places for both food and drink. I actually prefer a hockey seat higher up (so I can see the entire overview of the game) and this particular seat did not disappoint! There is just so much energy at a hockey game, and it's chilly inside too (which is a rarity in south Florida). What tops it off even more is seeing the Panthers pull a home victory win which they did for this game. I definitely can't wait to go to another game soon. read more

I have been attending events here since my first year of moving to FL. I am a huge hockey fan and of course that was my first visit here, back in 2011 on a date. I'm actually surprised I did not write a review all these years. I have attended several YES events here as well. Over the years, this venue has changed names due to money of course but I still call it BB&T center lol. Hubs and I are huge hockey fans so it was nice coming here to watch our teams play for like an eighth of the price of what we used to pay up north. Damn there was actually a game we came to maybe back in 2014 where they had the Duffys section. For $65, you get unlimited food, wine, beer, some spirits, non alcoholic drinks, and of course your seat to the game. Even though I lived 10 minutes from here most of my time in FL, I did not go to too many concerts here. Pearl Jam is my favorite band so I obviously saw them! We also saw Phil Collins which was amazing! The venue is huge. There are plenty of concession stands for a variety of food and drinks. They also sell beer, wine, and liquors. They have added so many fun things over the years and there are usually a lot of fun activities to do outside before the games. There are even smoking sections throughout the venue, where you can step outside on to a patio or balcony so you don't have to leave the venue. This was one of my favorite venues in Florida. read more

I recently went back to Amerant Bank Arena to see another show, this time Billy Idol and Joan Jett which was excellent. As I mentioned previously, this venue is really good. It's modern, well maintained, the seats are reasonably comfortable and there are lots of food and drink options, though the pricing is on the high side. Last time I visited I used the free mall parking lot across the way, but the cops don't let you enter via the main road, so you have to loop around the side of the arena and that takes quite a bit of time. This time I got the paid parking for $45 and it was actually pretty convenient to just exit the arena and jump in my car. I'll probably do this going forward because it beats that 20 min walk to the mall parking lot! My only criticism of the facility is that the staff are ruthless when it comes to bags they let in. My daughter took a small clear backpack where we keep the kids ear protection. When I went in 2024 it wasn't an issue. But this time around the guards were such fascists about it, they refused us entry made us walk back to the lot and put the bag back in the car. It was a total waste of time! And it's kids ear protection inside, not a bag of beers and meth. Like, what is the issue? Other than that though, great place to see a show. I hope they continue to book more rock bands here, I absolutely would go see a bunch of them. read more

Loved this arena which recently changed its name to Amerant Bank Arena. The beer and liquor bars inside are fun but usually slammed during FL Panther games. They do offer concerts sporadically during the year. I usually get the lower middle seats for $100 each which allow great view of the game, quick access the the bathrooms and food court area. The beers and cocktail prices are now at insane levels - $19.00 for a can of beer with a $1 tip - WTH ? Parking here is now $30.00 or you can park across the street for free at the mall or just Uber. read more

It seems just about every year since I could remember, this arena has changed names. Although a few things changed here & there over time, it's generally remained the same as far as the inside goes. First & foremost, the biggest downside I've noticed is the significant increase in pricing across the board. Everything from parking to food to beer/liquor has gone up (especially since the FL Panthers finals appearance last season). With that said, this is a great arena to visit whether it's for hockey games or concerts. This arena, without a doubt, has some of the best viewing when it comes to events. There isn't an obstructed view from wherever you're seated. Even the highest row of seats can see pretty clearly when looking down. The rafters are set up well where they're out of your eye line. The jumbotron is large enough on all 4 sides to see perfectly. The employees here are always friendly. They help out when asked & are very attentive. I've visited here for over 15 years & there's really not a bad experience that stands out. Big ups to whoever employs the individuals here! Much like it is elsewhere, they're a cashless venue. They have touch-free readers in the front to scan the tickets also. read more
