Derek never finished my job, but got paid $400. After being hired to cut 2 mango trees and lift and trim 2 night blooming jasmines, he started the job on September 30, 2021 but has not returned to finish it. I have called and texted many times, but now I am blocked. When my boyfriend called, he answered pretending to be someone else and said it was because he contracted Covid. I requested a quote from various businesses via Yelp. I had a palm tree that had been cut down and was laying in the middle of my yard. I had 3 palm tree trunks to be removed. Weeds had to be pulled, a few plants and a bunch of rocks removed as well. My yard can only be accessed through my front door, no one wanted to take on this job because they said that they couldn't fit the machine used to remove the trunks. Worth the wait. Because they are a small operation, it can take a while for Derick to get back to you but he and is crew are well worth it. I could feel the love Derick has for trees and felt confident that he would be able to accommodate my request but not put the tree's health at risk. His crew was fast (worked in-between a rain storm) and they left the yard better than they found it, cleaning up every leaf and hauling it all away. Wow. You are a liar as well as a poacher. I didn't want or ask you to remove 50%. You came over and we looked at tree and said exactly what would be removed, including large branches. Remember you sent and I agreed to the contract. You then voided and stated you would be resending. Why would you have said, I will be resending new agreement with payment options. Oh that's right, you are a blatant liar. I also never "threatened" you. That is possibly one of the most absurd statements I have read thus far and could be considered slanderous and defamation. I have your voicemails regarding your criminal past and all you said was that it wasn't fraud related and you then stated that you understood If I didn't want to move forward. You are the one that is truly something special. You lie and make untrue statements. Then you try to clear your conscious by your go to statement "God bless you and your family." I wish i could upload voicemail as well as camera footage of us discussing work to be done to expose you for what you are. If I could change to zero I would because I didn't know you were a liar but I did know you were lobster poacher and were charged with multiple violations of the law. That's what upset you! That I did some background research. I know you're not originally from here but every South Floridian knows that lobster poaching is a serious crime and it speaks to your ethics, values, and integrity that you blatantly and flagrantly break the law. I had a mango tree that I wanted removed due to small fruits and fungus issues. Hi quote included spraying fungicide, which I appreciated since I wanted to plant another mango tree. Derek is very passionate about what he does and it shows in the excellent quality of his and his team's work. He was very thorough in his consultation (he came twice!) and point by point discussed his recommendations and plan. Derek is a true professional. From the moment we met you could tell he had a genuine love and care for nature, plants, trees, and even animals (was very loving with our dogs). He gave me a run down of things he saw in my fruit trees and ways to approach the cut and reasons why. We received a letter from our HOA giving us five days to trim the Areca palms that line both sides of our backyard. We called Derek and he came over the same day and gave us a very reasonable quote. We settled on a time to do the work three days later and he showed up fifteen minutes early. He and his people are very friendly and professional. First experience with American Arbor Services and we are very happy. Our yard is like a tropical forest and a lot needed to be done. Derrick seemed to be knowledgeable about the plant variety. He also took time to explain why certain plants needed to be trimmed, chopped, removed, etc. Initially we were concerned that what Derrick suggested we cut would compromise the look of our little oasis. We were so skeptical that we made him walk us through it three times. His choices proved helpful as it has lowered the overall maintenance requirements for our pool, walkways and driveway.
