I did the Zoom class meeting and it's the first time I've done it and I highly recommend it. Just get to a quiet place with a good computer and you'll have no problem. I'm not Bill Gates nor Mark Zuckerberg so I don't understand computers that well but the technology is great and my therapist is wonderful. read more

I've been going here for quite a few yrs now & I'd say, all in all, it's just okay. My main gripe is they're 9-5 hours (sometimes 9-4). Those are such BS hours- how cushy can you get, I mean unbelievable, really. If American Behavioral Clinics were truly a thriving business devoted to psychological & developmental treatment for the unbalanced mind, they would go out of their way to stay open longer in order to make themselves as available as possible to those who may need their services. At the least their hrs should be 8-5, but should truly be 7:30-6. And no that's not too much to ask w/as much as they are compensated. I've also noticed how they hound you to be responsible to always make your follow up appts for the correct dates as opposed to helping Guide the patient through scheduling their follow ups. I mean, if any patients need some han--holding the patients of a behavioral clinic sorta stick out to me. Once, I was late scheduling an appointment & also missed a phone appt one time. First, I was charged the full fee of a regular visit for the phone call appt I missed. Also, in both instances my Rx(s) were held back therefore interrupting my standard daily intake of these crucial meds they prescribed me. Honestly, they're the ones that always tell you, 'it could be very harmful for you if you stop taking your meds abruptly'. Really?!?? That shit really frustrated me bc I mentioned this to them (office and therapists) & it obviously fell on deaf ears as I've never seen any "policy improvements", per se. At this point, I actually just stay to get my Rx's prescribed. Thought it'd be too much hassle to find another therapist/business to go to. However, I may give it a second thought now. read more

My appointments are every other month and to make matters worse I have moved from Wisconsin to Illinois. My phone for some reason continues to drop the phone calls from his office I don't have as much of a problem with other people but this area that I live in is terrible and I can never call the doctor back after he calls me so I missed the call and therefore I miss the discussion with him so I can get my medicine. This is the second time that I have tried to get a hold of this doctor and talk to him for my appointments and both times the phone calls have failed and I have been left with no medicine for 3 months now. I tried to call back the office and talk to somebody and they tell me that I cannot talk to the doctor at this time but they will leave a message and he will get back to me. That never happens I mean never happens I've left numerous messages on an answer machine and I've actually talked to people at the office and I'm still waiting for a call and I'm still waiting for medicine.. Something has to change there. All I can say is at this point I am a wrek The other thing that bothers me is when I call to get an appointment they tell me I owe $23 or whatever my insurance does not pay so they have no problem in taking my money even when I have not talked to the doctor and they still bill me. read more

worst therapy clinic ive dealt with..and that includes my university free counseling. consistently failed to receive bills in the mail and would be pestered by office staff calling asking to make payments I had no record of. office staff was often very dismissive as well. The medication my nurse prescribed was way too strong for someone just starting out; instead of providing one of the basic medications she opted for a barely known drug. it gave me horrible withdrawal symptoms and I was unable to contact her for help for weeks and I insisted we wean me off. ended up crying on the phone to Walgreens about my prescription and they were 10x more helpful and sympathetic. My therapist forgot my appointment and tried to blame me for it, claiming I never had an appointment in the first place even though I had the confirmation email. She grudgingly made time for me at the end of the day and was audibly cooking while I tried to speak to her. She barely listened to what I was saying and focused more on the pots and pans she was banging in the background. I felt so incredibly unheard....not even my therapist was listening to me. awful, just awful. got another call about a missing bill today that I never received in the mail. I haven't even gone to this clinic in months, as I switched to another due to this poor service. When I asked for a copy of the bill the office staff were audibly annoyed. I refuse to pay a bill over the phone when I dont even have a listing of what its for... dont go here. seriously. read more

The doctor we see is amazing, but the clinic staff is less than useless. I have been calling for days to get an appointment, and they never answer the phone! The are rude, obnoxious, and condescending, if they are even there. On times when we are the first patients in the morning, they don't open the office when the stated hours say they are supposed to be open, and if by some chance the office is open, it is deserted. I have waited for quite a while for someone to even show up and check us in. So great doctor (Dr. Batory), but completely useless clerical staff. read more

I think the doctors are exceptional but less can be said about the clerical staff at the Bluemound Rd. location. Almost every time I've called with a question I've felt rushed off the phone. It makes for a poor patient experience and I've found myself hesitant to call on several occasions due to the rude demeanor of the person answering the phone. read more

We have been pleased with the doctors and therapists but the office staff have been rude and dismissive. I have had countless issues trying to obtain patient records for my daughter, and trying to even refill a prescription. While most doctors offices turn around a refill request within hours, at this clinic you need to expect it to take WEEKS. Yes, weeks. And you better be on top of it checking back several times or you may never get it. This isn't acceptable when working in the mental health field. I have even tried to talk to the office manager and she was not polite or understanding about my concerns. She told me I had to basically deal with it because the clinic doesn't have digital files or records and that's just that. Customer service = 0-1, doctors are good so that is the only reason I gave 2 stars. read more

Dr. Jim Winston is an amazing doctor who has a great knowledge of medicine, mental illness, and most importantly, knowledge of his patients. The secretaries are sometimes not the most pleasant people, but this clinic is great for people suffering from mental illness. read more

My psychiatrist left ABC, for whatever reason, and the clinic did not notify me until I called asking why I couldn't get any refills of my medication. They can't get me in to see anyone new until a month from now, and they won't let me pick up samples for the time being. I guess I'll be experiencing withdrawals soon. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. I walked in having a decent day and walked out shaking, I was very upset. The psychiatrist: Jackie Joachim was extremely rude to me, she argued with me and treated me like I was stupid. Psychiatrists are not supposed to argue with you or make you feel like you are ignorant, they're supposed to be supportive listeners, if they have negative thoughts about you, they're not supposed to share the thoughts, that is common sense, very unproffesional. The clinic should consider hiring someone else that knows how to do their job and does not verbalize all the negative thoughts in their head. I have NEVER written a negative review before because I am not that kind of person, so obviously this was a terrible experience for me which is a shame because it was my first time seeing a psychiatrist. If you're reading this and you work for the clinic, if you would like to call me, I would be happy to speak to you about my awful experience, but I will not be calling ever again :) read more
