Scott just finished the lengthy task of disassembling my Brunswick Mission Style table so that I could have some foundation work done and then returned to reassemble it and recover it. Scott did a fabulous, flawless job and even shimmed the pockets for me. On site, when the pocket reconstruction was not working out quite the way Scott liked, he took the rails home to his shop so that he could do a "perfect" job on that important part of the project. I called American Billiards to move a pool table and other pieces of gaming equipment that I purchased from an estate sale. Scott and Sean arrived on time and immediately began the work of dismantling the pool table. Forty five minutes later, we were on our way to set up the table at my residence. Scott and Sean went to work on reassembling and leveling the table and within one and one half hours finished the job. Afterwards, Scott explained to us all that was needed on how to correctly maintain the table for years of enjoyable fun. Both Scott and Sean were professional and courteous and did a fantastic job. Their price was extremely affordable and very reasonable (the best I found). I would highly recommend American Billiards Service to anyone looking to move, purchase or just have work done on your pool table. If you need to have a pool table moved, look no further. This is the 4th time I've had to move a pool table and I gave American Billiards Service a try. Scott is all about customer service and did a fantastic job. Scott and crew were fast, courteous, and very carful. I needed to move this table to turn over possession of my home to a new buyer. When Scott saw that a nasty storm was coming in he proactively called me to see if he could move it a day early to avoid any inconvenience. Incompetence of a higher level. This company quoted me a price to break a 9' table down, transport it and put it back together. When they arrived to put it together, they said it wouldn't fit down the stairs, tried something and failed to get it down. A friend and I were able to get it down the next day in literally just a few minutes. When I called to have them finish the job, they expected the full price still, even though we had to do some of their job for them. So unprofessional. They are threatening to go to small claims court instead of negotiating. We do believe they should be paid something but I'm not paying them full price when I have to do part of their job for them. They are suppose to be the professionals. They jumped to small claims as soon as I called to open up the conversation about price. They never owned the situation, never apologized, and have now broken contract in not coming back. I gave them an opportunity to rectify the situation and they'd rather upset a customer and chase money than build good reputation. Also, these guys seem like amateurs who thought they could jump into the business. I am creating an account with yelp for the sole purpose of hopefully saving another consumer from making a bad decision they will regret. Absolutely shocked by the lack of professionalism of this company. I had an appointment on Monday 8/29/16 and was called that morning and told that the helper had quit and they could not make it out. I let them know that I had to be moved out by 8/31/16 so they scheduled another appointment for that day. I had my home professionally cleaned on 8/30/16. I was there when the cleaners finished and verified my home was spotless. Since the home was empty my neighbor opened the door for them on 8/31/16, and locked it as soon as they left. They dismantled the table in the basement and delivered to my new address, this is where the unprofessionalism starts. When they arrived at my new home the delivery was in the basement. I was greeted with a terrible attitude and extreme anger and was told this is supposed to be a single level. I was very clear when I scheduled the appointment this was a basement to basement job. I did not want the pool table reconstructed until I did some work in the basement and had a tentative second appointment. For some unknown reason to me they crossed out the second appointment on the receipt and wrote "Pass on Setup". I was quoted $175.00 on the phone and when they went to collect for services I was charged $200.00. One of the guys asked to use the bathroom and he did. After they left, I went into my bathroom and the toilet was completely clogged. I did my walk through at my former home on Wednesday evening 8/31/16 and to my utter disgust went into that bathroom and this toilet was also completely clogged. Since I had already moved out I had nothing to fix the toilet with and had to stand there completely frazzled. The only people in my home between when the cleaners left and I did my walk through were the two individuals from American Billiards Service Co. I would never recommend this company and if you do use them make sure you get your price in writing AND do not leave them in your home alone. read more
