We chose them because they're a national franchise, and we felt more comfortable working with a company that has established products, training, and manufacturer support. We ended up purchasing 12 blinds, 3 roller shades, and 2 motorized roller shades. The entire experience was excellent. Anna handled the sales and measuring process. We had quite a few questions before moving forward, especially regarding warranties, motorized shades, and smart-home integration. To her credit, if she didn't know an answer, she found it. She reached out to manufacturers and followed up with us rather than guessing. The biggest surprise was how well the motorized shades work. They integrate seamlessly with Google Home through the Smart Home Collection app. We can control them through the app, through Google Home, or by voice command. Unlike some smart-home products that only offer open and close functions, these shades can be set to specific positions. We routinely tell Google to open them 10%, 25%, or 50%, and it works exactly as expected. The included hub was also impressive. Ours is installed upstairs while the motorized shades are downstairs, yet communication has been flawless despite the distance and multiple walls and floors between them. The setup process was simple, and the system has been very reliable. Installation was completed by Mike, who was professional, efficient, and clearly experienced. Everything was installed correctly, he cleaned up afterward, and took the time to ensure everything was working properly before leaving. The finished product looks fantastic. We specifically selected the smooth white blinds rather than faux-wood textured blinds because they're easier to keep clean, and we're very happy with that choice. Overall, we're extremely pleased with both the products and the service we received. If you're considering motorized shades or looking for a smart-home-compatible window treatment solution, Budget Blinds delivered exactly what they promised. We would absolutely use them again.

I had one time that maintenance came into my apartment without notice. most of the landkeeping staff were courteous too, they worked around you, but there was one that tried so hard to get attention, he kept driving his lawnmower on the pavement in front of wherever I was in my way, stare at me and try to dance around. I liked that it's a gated community and the gate stayed closed most of the time, only control access to tenants and workers. the gates would stay open during thunderstorms or power issues. they have a pool open during summer time and a small gym area. there wasn't an apartment available for me to view before I moved in. The outside looked nice. when I did move in, the inside of the apartment was made of the cheapest materials which are not that sturdy and not practical which made it hard to maintain and clean. the apartment was so poorly cleaned before I moved in, I had to deep clean the apartment myself. there were multiple things that didn't operate and constantly had issues. all the electrical outlet were dirty, worn out and loose. if I plugged anything in, the plug would barely hold or fall out. the windows are covered with thin and fragile blinds, I had to cautiously move every time I wanted to use the windows. the blinds had bends and stains on them. I reported it and the apartment employees said they'll send housekeepers back out but never did. all of the shelves in the closets were wired racks and they were dirty. it took me so long to have to clean each individual rod. the walls were painted with hair painted in. the cabinets, sinks and faucets had scratches, chips, dents, stains and were warped. the bathroom sink faucet would spray out everywhere instead of stream, it was short and close to the sink that I was practically rubbing my hands and items on the sink everytime I used it. the sink would drip underneath. the previous tenant left a dirty soap dish super glued into the bathtub that I have to pry out. the toilet was so small and it couldn't sit flat on the ground so it wasn't sealed, it would wobble every time it was used and water would leak out around the bottom. I would have to hold down the lever to flush evertime. I reported it to management and they came out the same day to work on it but the issue kept coming back, because the apartment is so cheaply built. water from all the faucets smelled bad. all of the appliances were so old, outdated and barely function like they should. the stove didn't even have a preheat indicator. the fridge and freezer smelled terrible, like rotten food. the fridge wasn't very cold, I was not safe to store food longer than overnight. I had to take the bottom panel of the freezer apart and clean all the spilled food juices left there over time. I spent hours continuously cleaning the fridge but it was so old, it kept smelling so bad. I reported it to the apartment employee but all they did was replace the fan cover not the smell. the fridge barely kept anything chilled and the freezer didn't keep food frozen. I had in units washer and dryer. the washer was newer and clean. the dryer was dirty, rusty and made my clothes smell bad. they had open parking, parking close to the building was for tenants and tenants had vehicle pass that are hung on our rear view mirror. while visitors didn't get a pass but are to park away from the building by the fence line. Available parking spots usually wasn't an issue. they had a courtesy officer on site for noise complaints, which I never had to call, my neighbors on the sides were quiet. but my upstairs neighbors constantly walked around and making noises upstairs all throughout the night, the installation were thin. I heard seasonal birds chirping all throughout the night and into the morning. I occasionally heard a nearby train but the neighborhood was mostly quiet. after I moved out, they charged me cleaning fees even if you leave the place clean, and "missing" items that I never had to begin with. they also changed me utilities fees after I shut off my utilities, those extra days after I moved out, they used the utilities to work on the apartment after my lease was over.

Thiefs and liars out for a buck, they'll tell you anything. The office staff is a bunch of 20 yr Olds you can barely talk to. I thank the heavens I got a much nicer place instead.

Finding Van's Home Repair honestly feels like finding a needle in a haystack…read more Van and his son James are two of the most trustworthy, hardworking, genuinely kind people we have had the pleasure of working with. From the very beginning, they have been on time, dependable, efficient, incredibly clean, and ready to WORK. And boy, do they get the job done. We come up with some pretty unusual--and occasionally downright crazy--projects around our home, and somehow these two never seem intimidated. Instead of telling us why something can't be done, they start figuring out how to make it happen. Their range of skills is remarkable. Outside of plumbing and roofing, I'm honestly not sure there is much they can't tackle. What means even more to our family is the way they work with and support veterans. As a veteran family, that matters deeply to us. There is a difference between someone simply doing a job and someone who genuinely cares about the people they are doing it for. Van and James are absolutely in this for the right reasons, and you can feel that in the way they treat people. They are respectful, patient, available, kind, professional, and they leave the work area clean when they're finished. Their pricing is also beyond fair. Frankly, there have been times when we've looked at each other and thought, "How are we this lucky?" The quality of work and level of service they provide for what they charge almost feels too good to be true. Trust is a big deal when you invite someone into your home. We trust Van and James, and that may be the highest compliment we can give. If you need someone who shows up when they say they will, treats your home with respect, thinks outside the box, works hard, charges honestly, and genuinely takes pride in helping people, call Van's Home Repair. Van and James, thank you for taking care of our home, for supporting veterans, and most importantly, for being good people. We are incredibly grateful God put the right people in our path at the right time. Five stars doesn't quite cover it.
