Changing this review to 3 stars because unfortunately my boyfriends snake tattoo didn't heal well and turns out Chris actually had a very heavy hand. He also has some scarring. My flower tattoo turned out great though so that's why I'm leaving it at 3 stars! Ask for Josh!

Fantastic experience. Robert was running the place solo for a bit and handled it masterfully. I don't know how he kept his composure with an entire family with children filling up the waiting area. This was my first tattoo and he was able to work with me on what would and wouldn't work for a GOOD tattoo. In the end, I got almost exactly what I wanted and I'm very happy with it!

My daughter turned 18 on Halloween. She's been asking me for years to get a matching tattoo w her because we're kinda bffs. So, on this trip to Florida with her cheer team, we decided to be adventurous and just wonder into America Classic Tattoo. We'd happened to see a baby shark at the pier earlier that day and started singing baby shark. So I did a quick design of some sharks for my forearm and my daughter decided to get one on hers as well. Chris Kime is a gifted artist and quickly turned both of our concepts into reality. Disappointed my first tat didn't turn out as I wanted. Had a minimalist cross with a Bible chapter added to forearm. As you can see the bottom of the cross and chapter curve to left or up depending how I look at it. I showed another "professional" artist and he stated the forearm should have been stenciled standing up instead of sitting. If you choose a design with a lot of fine detail don't let Chris ink it!!! He is heavy handed. BEWARE!!! Now I have to spend $1000 to get it removed...Thank Chris you suck!!! read more

I stopped by this shop on a long weekend to see about getting a piece done because I heard great things about Chris. He did NOT disappoint, we went above and beyond to make sure I was good and the art was positioned how I wanted it before he started. He did great at detailing it to make it come to life. I will definitely be visiting Chris again and traveling all the way from Texas to do so! Going here was a super disapointing experience. very uninviting and, honestly unprofessional. I did not get tattooed here, and im really proud for walking out. I am a customer that would of returned for exensive work. You deal with a walk in, and tourists, I`ve worked in tourist ares for years, hell I live in one. I get it, it`s alittle annoying, and at the end of the season you are tired, and burnt out. With that being said these people are paying your bills by overpaying you for tattoos because they are tourist looking for a fun acitivty. Market off that make it fun! show alittle interest. Have an actual conversation before you start printing. The sales person in me wants to let you know that you ussually discuss the product or service inside. It`s certianly off putting to do it in the parking lot, the ciggerate didn`t bother me, shit you could of been smoking a joint, and i would of said " Nice ! see you inside." Just werid you know makes you wonder why is this tattooist at this prime tourist location spot, just hanging outside. The artist in me wants to tell you utilize negative space. Instead of saying i cant do this, say i can`t do this this way, but i CAN do this but i need to do it like this to accomplist this goal? is that ok? Take control of the design, Or even just say im not really very good at small details, Im probably not the artist for you. Nothing is impossible. Im not saying if you go here you will get a bad peice, it would proabably just be just fine. If just fine is what you are looking for. read more

Worst tattoo shop i've ever been to. "Artist" Chris was the rudest tattoo artist i've encountered, and honestly just a rude person in general. He was rough when doing the tattoo and I have an existing tattoo in the same spot on a different arm and previously did not hurt at all, but when he did it, it was extremely painful. Before even getting the tattoo me and my friend wanted to cancel after him not addressing us by our names or even acknowledging us, and then got impatient when my friend hadn't paid yet even though he wasn't even at the desk waiting for her to pay, he had already gotten his stuff out. Then after us saying we wanted to cancel he said we had to pay a $100 fee, WHEN THE PLACE WAS WALK INS ONLY??? And didn't even mention that there was a fee if we wanted to cancel before he got his stuff out. Pricing was also outrageous. Wanted one tiny tattoo no bigger than nickel and it was $120. And to mention we wanted a TINY tattoo, and he kept telling us he couldn't do it the size we wanted, and then continued to keep giving us bigger sizes then what we wanted. Ended up getting a tattoo I now want removed when it was meant to be meaningful, and now has a bad memory behind it. read more

While in PCB this is the only place that I would get tattooed. Albee, the owner, has over 20 years of experience. Everyone that works here is very friendly, knowledgeable and talented. The shop is funky and cool , yet very very clean. The decor is Black Cats, hundreds and hundreds of them. Ceramic to stuffed and everything in between. It's a fun place where you can tell that the employees love what they do. So if you find yourself down by the beach ,itching for a more permanent souvenir, I say drop by Black Cat to get your ink fix. Tell em' Lee sent ya'. read more

While down for the weekend, my boyfriend and I decided to get a new tattoo. Zach did an amazing job! He tattooed an elephant on my inner arm and it turned out absolutely beautiful. me and my boyfriend called ahead of time 4 days in advance. the guy over the phone said that we should just come in the morning we wanted the tattoo to make sure we got our spot. came in that morning and got our spot secured. then we came back at that time just for the guy to tell us we had to wait another 3 hours because he took people before us. we waiting the 3 hours and called back to see if we were any closer to having the tattoos we waited allweek for. when we called he said that it would be another 3 hours. why would you tell us to come in early and reserve a spot if you're going to take people ahead of us read more

The tattoo my bestie and I received were done with great line work but not enough ink in tattoo so it's already needing to be touched up and it's only been a month. The receptionist was a bitch at first but then everything calmed down. I absolutely do not like the fact that a dog was in the room during our tattoos. Absolutely unsanitary. Now that I am back home a month later I went to set up an appointment through my hometown shop for a tattoo. Mom brain and being too busy is strong and I accidentally made an appointment through these people. Instead of being understanding they absolutely refuse to send my deposit back even though I am hundreds of miles away and made an honest mistake. I felt horrible and apologized sincerely to them but they didn't give 2 craps and laughed at my apology. Overall even if I came back to Florida this shop would not be where I would go back to. Kind of a joke shop. read more

Katie in particular was so heavy handed for mine and my friend's tattoos that MULTIPLE blood/ink pockets formed under 3 total second skins for my friend, and I now (2 days post tattoo) have a bruise surrounding one of my tattoos. My friend noticed some line work not connecting in her design after finally "clearing away" all of the ink mess. Overall, everyone is happy with the designs they received, but none out of the 5 of us have EVER received tattoos so painful before out of all of our tattoos (to put in context- I have almost 20 tattoos and my arm literally went numb/fell asleep while getting a line work tattoo).

New to the PC area, I dropped into the store and was greeted by Chris Kime to discuss my second tattoo I had been planning for awhile. Always nervous about putting something on my body, Chris listened and helped me plan exactly what I had in mind as well he was always upfront with pricing, scheduling, and expectations as far as tattoo application timing and duration. On day of, Chris again had a small consultation and artist rendering to make sure that we both were on the same page and that the concept, vibe, and meaning of my tattoo was understood. My actual tattoo took about 2.5 hours to complete and I'm very happy with the result and with Chris and the professionalism he held during both visits. What I liked the most about the visit, is that I did allow Chris to use his own artist feelings and style with my tattoo but I really appreciated how he always stopped periodically to allow me to spot check and converse with him during different phases of the tattoo to make sure the application was exactly what I wanted. I would recommend this shop, as well Chris Kime to anyone. He's also got a great sense of humor if you get him going. read more

Went here for my first tattoo with my two best friends and it did not disappoint!! There was no major wait and both Chris and Josh were very kind and welcoming. I didn't feel like I was being intimidated to get something I didn't want which is nice because of the horror stories I have heard from others. Chris did an amazing job on my tattoo and I couldn't be happier!!! I got my tattoo on my sternum right between my breasts and I was a little nervous but once Chris began the tattoo there was no awkwardness and it was over in a flash! The shop was clean and I didn't feel like I was going to contract a disease lmao. Overall would get a tattoo here again for sure! My friends and I went in a day early to check out the shop and ask if they could do the designs we wanted. Chris was really helpful and nice. He said we could come back the next day and there was no appointment needed. When we went in for our tattoos, we didn't have to wait long and everything went really smoothly. It was a bit pricey but that's expected because we did a rib/side tattoo. Overall, Chris did a great job and I definitely recommend him. read more

All four of us got our pieces done in a little over an hour. The shop was clean and organized and had great prices! I'm from out of town on vacation and I wanted a permanent souvenir. My tattoo artist was Hannah, and she was absolutely amazing. She was so professional, welcoming and nice. Amazing place! I went in yesterday and talked to them about a tattoo design and they got me an appointment set up for the next day. The environment was very chill and relaxing. Me and my 4 friends are down in PCB for Spring Break and impulsively decided to get tattoos. Chris Kime was our artist and he did a phenomenal job! Just went in for an estimate and the artist was a fucking asshole. He drew up some bullshit I could have drawn with my eyes closed. Don't recommend to even walk in here. I wanted to beat his ass the way he spoke. read more
