He also gave me some very crucial advice: Doc Martins actually don't last that long! He suggested instead getting Chuck Taylor Converse for the purposes I was using them for (particularly convincing was the fact that he himself was wearing a pair, and one that he'd had for over thirty years), and as soon as I get some surplus cash, I intend to do exactly that! I only saw her twice- once for initial fitting and again after she worked on it. She knocked it out of the ballpark by fixing it perfectly. You would never know anything was altered about the dress. She also put in a beautiful bustle. She said she's been doing this for 20+ years and you can tell she loves helping people! If you need your dress altered in any way, I highly recommend! She also said she has helped brides fix what other seamstresses couldn't. She really knows what she's doing.
