I put this review on Google and thought I'd put it here also... Dropped off a few sets of bed-sheets on Saturday, my first visit, and gotta say they will do more of my laundry. Bianca, hope I spelled it right, was just a gem! Very pleasant and helpful in explaining my options and when they would be ready. WOW, excellent service and laundry was better than I could do it. Lots of cars in the parking lot, and still plenty of washers/dryers available for DIYers. Even though my drive will take me 35minutes one-way, I am going to make it a habit to do all of my laundry at ELC! Now I go there every week! (not in my other review) Well Done! read more

The staff here is super friendly and helpful. I will say, considering this pandemic and the extra precautions businesses are being required to take, Express Laundry Center is doing an amazing job. There is a hand washing station just right outside to make sure everyone has clean hands before entering. All of the baskets are sanitized after every use. The only reason I'm leaving off a star is the price. I brought it one medium load of laundry, and it cost me $10. The medium washing machine is $6.25. I guess I'm used to the laundromats in California, which average about $2.75 a machine. I don't have a dryer at home, so I think going forward I will wash my clothes at home and bring the rest here to dry. Our washer broke down and I have used Express twice this week. They are great. Kids artwork on the walls, clean tables and machines, they Open the door to greet you and offer to bring your clothes in. I had a duvet to wash and was thinking I should have brought the tennis balls I use to fluff it in the dryer at home when the worker comes up and offers me a can of tennis balls! I wish every business I went to had customer service like this! read more

Excellent laundromat! Agent was SUPER helpful, even came out into the parking lot when I arrived to ask if I need help bringing my stuff inside. She helped me load a laundry card (my first time). Very clean and well kept location. While I was doing my laundry, I noticed that she was being super sweet to 2 little kids while they colored near her. Outstanding customer service! The washers take about 20 minutes and most clothes dried in 10 on high, some required a second round of 10 minutes. I was able to do 3 loads for about $15 and it took less than an hour. At a hotel in the middle of a week here and 3 weeks there and I needed to do laundry. I searched for a laundromat near me and them picked the one with the best reviews. Y'all didn't disappoint. I was immediately greeted and the clerk who asked me what I needed, two small/separate loads, he tallied up the cost and showed me how to load the exact amount. Only used the drop-off service to get a comforter laundered and was happy with the quick turnaround & friendly, helpful staff. Previous reviews covered the basics - clean place, wi-fi available (costs $3/hour; no longer free, I think), and no quarters required. I'll definitely be back to try out their washing machines. A flier at the front of the store advertised mid-week specials from 8am-noon, where some of the machines are discounted. read more

I have been going here for a long time and I like the place a lot the staff are friendly and it's clean. My only complaint is the pricing went up this week but yet the dryers still not get sheets and blankets and towels dry after 30 minutes and it's 1.50 for the big ones now that should dry them and the big washers went up to 8.25 I think to wash that's a lot when people are still in this pandemic and money is not like it use to be for us as well as you but that is high. read more

Wow, what great service! We found this place because the resort we are staying nearby doesn't have self service laundry and it would have costed close to 100$ to wash two days of clothes for a family of four. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, someone greeted us offering assistance carrying laundry in. The manager guy went above and beyond helping us who are clueless about using public washer/dryer. He even gave us some free detergent. There is free coffee(keurig) and WiFi while we waited. We got all our clothes washed and dried for 5$. Thank you! read more

We go to Express Laundry every Sunday and cannot express how grateful we are to find a QUIET and clean place to do our laundry. We went to several others in C'Ville and there was always a chaotic environment whether there were too many people or unruly children running around. Susan knows us and always asks how things are going with us. I dare say I will miss it when we finally get a washer and dryer haha! read more

I LOVE THIS LAUNDROMAT. I love the the sista behind the counter who tells me her life problems while I'm waiting for the spin cycle to end, and even asked my friend to hit up Seven Day Jr. and buy her some Doritos. I love that I can leave this place for two hours, come back and find my clothes still there. I love that not having $20 in quarters doesn't preclude you from getting all of your laundry done. I love the vending machines full of one-time-use detergents that DON'T EVEN ACCEPT QUARTERS. You have to put your money on a card... cash, credit, sorry no checks. I love that it closes at 9 to keep out the crazy people who frequent Wahoo Wash. I love the FREE WIRELESS INTERNET. I love the clean but trashy magazines that are floating around and the cute little tables they are lying on. It has better machines than the ones in my basement, or my parents' basement for that matter. Don't even bother bringing your laptop because you won't be sitting down long enough to finish any work. You're seriously out of there in an hour. Not expensive. Best place ever. read more

You wouldn't think that a laundromat would be a place renowned for its customer service. You would be wrong. Everyone at this business, especially the owner, is incredibly helpful and friendly. The process is also very well coordinated and streamlined so that you can get in and out with minimal effort. Being able to use the rechargeable cards rather than carry in a bunch of loose change is also a fantastic system. I cannot recommend this location enough! The employees deserve so much credit for the wonderful work that they do. read more

I was a first time user and the very friendly staff was nothing but helpful. I was going old school and brought quarters. The woman (who helped me in with my stuff) switched it over to dollar bills and showed me how to load my money on to their convenient card. I had to leave and all my things were there when I returned. The owner was there and he helped me and made sure I knew how to get on the FREE wifi. The machines were clean and worked very well. The building was also clean and well maintained. Do not confuse this with Wahoo Wash which is a few doors down. NOT the same place at all!!! I can't say enough nice things about this place and the people who work there. read more

The first time I went here, a lady (I still have no idea if she worked there or was just... eccentric?) enthusiastically began giving me a lesson every aspect of laundry, speaking passionately. The second time I went there, I had just dyed my hair blue, but had accidentally gotten blue dye all over my face. My room-mate decided not to tell me until we got there. It's a rare and unusual occurrence that I have 16 loads of laundry (3 weeks of house guests, opening a summer home, beach towels, 4 sets of sheets, bath towels...) and Express Laundry Center handled the 5 hours I spent there with grace. Susan, the proprietor, held the door, helped me get a cash card and was friendly. This is a clean laundry, current machines and a lot of them. On a busy Sunday, even with me dominating the place, no one had to wait for a washer or dryer. The restrooms are clean and there is plenty of parking. Prior to coming to Express Laundry Center I'd no exposure to laundromats, but this is place is better than I could have expected. The place is staffed during all open hours, the machines new(er), the wifi free, and is a handy location. The owner takes personal pride in his business, and his hard work is evident. It's allergy season and I've already been tracking pollen into my bedroom. I dropped my comforter off to get washed. I paid extra for a "rush" charge, so that it would be done in the next six hours. When I went to picked up my comforter, I was shocked at how much it ended up being, almost $20. They were also late in when they told me it would be ready by. I got home and opened up the bag, and my comforter felt disgusting. It was unbelievable stiff and scratchy. I will need to rewash it. This was a huge waste of my time and money. read more

I've been going to this laundromat for almost 2 years now-scratch that...I HAD been going for almost 2 years. Recently they've gotten a contract with the hospital, so all of their large washers/dryers are either constantly in use or labeled not in use. This used to be a great place to go and get all our laundry done, but since the large washers/dryers are now apparently not for the "little person", laundry is now at least $5-10 more to complete. I gave my card with whatever was left on it to a nice lady doing laundry and I'll never go back again. read more

Hands down best service out of any goods or services place I've been to. Everything about ELC is 100% professional and 100% about customer experience. Its a laundromat, but the customer service feels like a five star restaurant. I go to school at UVA, and whenever my parents come to town they take my laundry here. I never accompany them, however today I just happened to come along. The moment we arrived, Troy offered to help us bring our laundry in. Then he proceeded in helping my father get everything figured out (father doesn't speak the best English). He is the most helpful employee and an even better person. He cares about his customers and asks about whats happening in their lives. Very attentive, but not intrusive...the perfect match. When my parents had to go do another chore, he even took our laundry from the washer and transferred it into the dyer for us. Such a respectable man. This place deserves more than the five stars max. read more
