I'm absolutely thrilled with the work Sean and his crew did on our screened porch. I'm fairly particular and wanted to be involved in the project, probably more than most clients, and Sean worked with me throughout to get the porch I wanted. He was communicative and explained pros/cons of all the various options. Partway through the project, we realized our pre-existing front porch needed some repairs too, and Sean seamlessly added that to the project and was very reasonable on the price. Once the team started, the work went quickly but was clearly done very carefully. The attention to detail was fantastic, and the end result is a beautiful and functional porch that we're thrilled with. In the first week after the porch was completed, at least 6-8 different sets of neighbors stopped us to say it looked great. Our project was completed five years ago and still looks gorgeous. Sean Conway worked with us and a designer to create a unique porch and deck with a smaller deck bumping out on the roof and an access to our bedroom. The crew who did our construction was wonderful. Arrived as scheduled and did a great job with clean up every day. This past year we had an issue with the outside door and Sean replaced it at no cost to us as it was determined it was defective. His son Chase is now working with him and he was great. Our house is known in the neighborhood as the house with the cool porch. I highly recommend this company! read more

Very happy with our completed deck and patio. We got several original estimates from other companies and were told things couldn't be done and given very little options, but Sean worked with us to come up with a design that worked for us. He provided very detailed information and was understanding to our needs. They started the project ahead of schedule. The crew working on the deck and patio were very respectful and hardworking. The communication was great throughout the process and they completed the project as expected and it looks really great. Work was good, and in the end, the deck and patio look great. However, we were disappointed with the communication at times and the professionalism of the owner. Be sure to request Bill to build your deck.....he's extremely skilled, professional, and reliable. Read over the final invoice to be sure billing is correct for the work that was discussed. We found several charges for items that we never discussed during the multiple in depth meetings we had together. read more

One of the worst companies and owners I have ever dealt with. Things started out great. No bad reviews, owner seemed promising, etc. I was really excited to get my deck started. First go round the guys building my deck made a TON of mistakes. They cut my siding wrong leaving the Tyvek house wrap exposed, dented up my siding and rainspouts, left uneven board cuts along the edges, globs of glue that they had to use on the type of decking I picked out were all over the edges of my deck, broken rail brackets were used, and 6 sections of railings were spaced wrong. Granted the company did come out and fix the mistakes from their crew; however, these are mistakes that should have never happened in the first place, and for some reason I was treated like the mistakes were my fault. It took 4 times to pass inspection. They tried replacing only 5 sets of railings hoping the inspector wouldn't notice the 6th, and still had to come back and replace it anyway. It took 3 times for them to come out and replace the railing correctly. They tried using left over materials to fix the rail instead of new product, and the first 2 times I was left with the same shoddy work I received at the beginning of my experience. I understand mistakes happen but this whole experience was a joke. Another issue I had a major problem with was the angle that my boards ran from the main decking down a step to the landing. They don't line up at all. They aren't slightly off, or even run in opposing directions to give it a nice contrasting effect! I chose this company because one of the things they point out in all their advertising is "It's in the Details". For a company focused on detail that sets them apart from other builders, the angling of these boards is a very poor design flaw. When I brought the issue up after noticing it, I was told several different stories/fibs. First, I was told it was perfect. Then I was told the boards we're ran that way for water flow/direction, which I called BS on right away. Finally, I was told the boards were run that way to use less material and save money. Mind you it wasn't saving me money, but the company's money. That may be the case, which is a horrible business practice in regards to quality and design for the customer, but I have a feeling it really was a carpentry error that the owner didn't want to admit in fear he was going to have to fix it, and lose out even more on the job. He tried to pacify me at first before flat out telling me it wasn't worth time, cost & materials to fix their mistake, but if I wanted to pay more money than he would gladly fix it! (Unbelievable) He also informed me that no, my deck was not perfect, but if he's "hitting 98% on his finished products than he's okay with that". All in all, this was one of the most aggravating experiences I have had. The owner is not trust worthy. In fact, he is rather hot headed, cocky, and quick to blame his clientele for his guy's falling short. Customer satisfaction isn't in his dictionary unless he's trying to open your wallet and sign a contract. The craftsmanship and details of the crews building the decks is mediocre at best. read more

I felt like they were discriminating against me and did not want my business. Probably one of the most unprofessional interactions I have ever had. read more

Don't ever use this company for your deck. I used this business for my deck.However, they screwed up our deck. They are NOT responsible regard product defect although they recommend to use one of their contract company. Yes, it happened to us but all they said to us was that we are small company and don't responsible anything regard product defect. Just use bigger builder or better business than this. read more

This review is also on google. 2014 I got Dave to put Dry Snap under my deck on a home in Perry Hall. It looked great at first. He even asked if I could show it to a couple who was considering getting it. I spent my time showing it to them. I called him back exactly 1 year ago (picture text was dated August 24, 2017) as we prepare to put our house up for sale to ask if he could fix something. The gutters he had put up had come loose and looked terrible along with the gutters we already had on a sunroom next to it. I got someone else to replace all the gutters at one time. We noticed that the edges of the dry snap where the water goes into the gutters was jagged and looked terrible after the new gutters were hung. We also said we noticed a lot of drooping and lines in the dry snap and asked if he could just put a strip of trim along the edge to hide the jaggedness (maybe 12 feet long). He told me they discontinued dry snap and that the reason I see the jaggedness is because I got new gutters that were lower. He said he would get someone to do it for $100 for me. I left several messages and never heard anything and it's a year later First of all, the reason the gutters were lower is because the ones installed by him were not the correct pitch and that's why they came down. Second of all - really this is a burden to you to help me out when I took time out of my busy schedule to show the dry snap to a couple which probably got you their job and you can't even help me out with something simple that was clearly done wrong. read more
