Snaking my pipes worked short term, but I knew it was time for my 1950's home to get an important upgrade! We agreed on a reasonable price, and were able to schedule the work, the next week. During the recent Hurriquake my pool almost overflowed and my backyard had 2.5" of water in it due to the deck drains not working. Tim came by, took a look at the line for the backyard drains and gave me an excellent quote for replacing the broken/collapsed main line draining my backyard to the street. His team came in a few days later and replaced 50 feet of line and concrete. They did a great job with the line replacement and concrete rework. We don't know where to start in our praise of Tim and Alex. What started out as a theoretically simple sewer line repair turned into a four-week nightmare, it was through NO fault of theirs (we live in what we affectionately call a very old "frankinhouse")! With each new horrible discovery of how extensive the repairs needed to be, Tim explained each piece of bad news in clear language, showing us what had been found and giving options. The remarkable thing was how respectful Alex and his crew were with our property. At the company's expense, they hauled away around 20+ big trash bags of debris left in the ground by lazy previous repairmen. They put in some nice decorative brickwork, again at no extra charge to us!) where the concrete had to be jackhammered up. They watered the strips of lawn that had to be taken up TWICE a day (a few weeks after they finished, the lawn looked like it had never been disturbed!). We could go on and on. All the guys at American Drain were a DREAM to work with! We needed to replace old pipes running in the slab underneath our house and got quotes from almost a dozen different plumbing companies. From the beginning, Tim (the owner) from American Drain was the most responsive. He was always quick to take our calls, very patient in answering our questions, and extremely knowledgeable. After considering all the options, we ultimately decided to re-route the sewer line from under our house around to the side of the house and are so glad we went with American Drain. It was a big project, but Tim, Alex (the foreman), and their crew did an AMAZING job. They were great to work with for many reasons: First, unlike a lot of the companies we spoke to, American Drain didn't just do the plumbing, but were able to repair drywall, patched up cement, fixed the brickwork they had to take out, etc. Truly a full service company. Second, the crew was able to pivot and address issues as they arose. For instance, they found out on day one that the job was much tougher than anticipated as our house apparently sits on solid bedrock rather than dirt (which made it very difficult to dig the very long trench they had to dig), but they found a way to make it work without complaint. You can see how much rock they had to break up and dig out in the pictures! Third, we love the initiative they took. For example, we had asked them to pour cement in a certain portion of our driveway after they installed the sewer line, knowing it wouldn't match and figuring we would get the entire area redone down the road one day. Before pouring the cement, Alex suggested carrying over the brickwork we had in other portions of the yard instead, even though it was much more labor intensive for his team to lay the bricks in a lattice pattern then it would have been for them to simply pour the cement (which they were already doing in other portions of the yard). We went with his suggestion and loved the way it turned out. We had hesitated in hiring American Drain because their quote seemed too reasonable, especially given all the repairs they were going to make after installing the sewer line. However, they far and away exceeded our expectations. We wish we could hire them for everything we need done around the house! read more

We had severely clogged area drains in our backyard and the heavy rains were causing muddy water to back up into the pool. Tim's guys came out and dug up 100 feet of old pipe, replaced it with new pipe and drains, and hooked up our rain gutters as a bonus! Tim and his crew added a 25' drain line to tie into an exsisting drain line in my front yard. I had an area that turned into a lake whenever it rained. They had to tunnel under a walkway and re-route a sprinkler line to get to the main drain line. They were very neat and covered the excisting lawn with a plastic tarp before they dug out the dirt and the lawn (in small squares) for the trench. When it was all finished you can't even tell were the lawn was removed and replaced. The new drain works great - highly recommend! read more

We had a terrible backup in our main sewer line, we called American drain with this emergency, and Tim was over here the same day to diagnose and let us know what needed to be done. We had to have all of the sixty some year old cast iron pipes replaced under the house down to the middle of the street. It was an extremely huge job, and Tim and his crew were all so patient and kind throughout the whole process with all of our questions and concerns. They made it as comfortable as they possibly could through the whole process, which was fantastic as this is my elderly parents' home, and something like this can be very difficult to go through. Out of all the repairs we've done to our house in the past year, I can say that American Drain Company was the easiest to work with because they communicate to you step by step what's going to happen which, Tim's team executes. The last atmospheric river almost did me in. At 11 PM I realized that I had a flood that was a 1/4 inch from entering through my sliding glass door into the house. Fortunately, there was another drain that was working about 12 ft from the ones that were backing up. It took my wife and myself over an hour to push by brooms the 2 to 3 inches of collected water to the working drain. The next morning after "Googling" I found American Drain Co. Tim, the owner, immediately answered the phone, and made arrangements to come out the next day when the rain had stopped. He was right on time, and quickly tried to hydoblast the offending drain line, but to no avail. With a line camera and a detector he was able to find, and mark several surface areas where my drain line was clogged. The next day four workers came under the supervision of Alex. They were able to dig and find exactly were Tim had marked to discover the cracked and broken lines. The workers were professional, removed the broken sections, and spliced in new drain lines. They made certain to put tarps on my grass where they piled up the soil to get to the lines. By doing this it saved my grass, and when they were finished I could not detect where they had worked. All in all, I was tremendously pleased with the thoroughness, and perfect repairs. I am very anal, and made certain that every repair was warranted. We had an awesome experience with Tim. I called at 8:45am expecting to leave a message, but Tim answered after the first ring! To make things even better, he was here and FINISHED the job within an hour! Our 1960s era home in Thousand Oaks was in need of a new sewer line to replace the 'orangeburg' pipe section from the middle of the front yard to the street. We also asked to add a clean-out at the front of the house. Brandon and Tim went above and beyond the task, catching that there was additional corrosion to cast-iron pipes under the house. They were more than happy to meet me in the morning before work, run a camera through the pipe, and let me see for myself the additional damage. Their proposed fix (an epoxy sleeve) was very reasonably priced, as was all of their work. After experiencing their expertise, diligence and concern for fixing the problem in the most economical way, we can highly recommend American Drain Company. Tim really has a lot of experience and the right tools to locate the problem(s) including camera detection to pin point pipe clogs. He and his crew showed up on time, worked hard, kept us informed of what needed to be done and how they would fix the problem in the most cost effective way. This was a two day job and we were not inconvenienced for more than an hour or so at a time during the whole process. They were especially careful of our property and landscaping. as they worked. When they were done my wife commented that you couldn't tell that they had even been there. And they guaranteed their work for 10 years. We've had major issues with our landscape drains since we moved in a couple of years ago.
