Curtis is both a carpenter and a contractor, I hired him to restucco the wall of my garage which was in terrible shape. He framed out the garage ready for new doors, repaired the wall, and repainted, and when the shades didn't match exactly - old house he went back and re-blended it. I was very happy both with the stucco work and the carpentry. What made me especially appreciative of his work was that I was away when he did it. I trusted him and he came through. 9/21/2022 Recomiendo encarecidamente American Eco-Systems Construction para cualquier remodelación, etc. Había estado buscando un contratista, dejé mensajes pero no recibí llamadas de nadie; hasta que encontré en Google con {American Eco-Systems Construction} ubicado en Titusville Fl. Los llamé a mi hora de almuerzo y dejé un mensaje y antes de las 3 pm de esa tarde Clayton me había llamado. Hablamos esa tarde le expliqué a Clayton lo que necesitaba reparar y esa tarde programamos una cita para el día siguiente a las 4 pm Clayton llegó a tiempo. Le mostré y le expliqué que necesitaba reemplazar el marco del garaje porque tenía daños por óxido, también el estuco en el costado de la casa estaba agrietado, miró y tomó fotos de todas las áreas, luego me dijo que me iba a enviar un mensaje de texto con el precio, y para mi sorpresa, a las 6 pm de ese mismo día me envió un mensaje de texto con el text de la quotacion. El precio de las reparaciones fue muy razonable, programamos que el proyecto comenzara al día siguiente y la tripulación se presentó a la hora de esa mañana. La tripulación fue muy profesional y realizó el trabajo de manera rápida y eficiente. Lo recomiendo altamente, cuando para llamarlos responden con prontitud. I will not hire this contractor again, nor would I recommend him. I had 2 small bathrooms to renovate that would require tile, plumbing, and electrical. I'm a single mom, and thought it best to hire a contractor to oversee and organize the project. This contractor had great reviews, and that played heavily into my decision to hire him. This is the only reason I am writing a review now. This was my experience: My project began in July 2020, during the Coronavirus, so I'll give some leeway there, however I had no predetermined start date, so there was no pressure to start before he was ready for it. What I found is that the contractor brought in the various workers, but he greatly failed to "manage" the project. On average, workers showed up 2 days a week. Various workers, various days, various hours, weekends and holidays included. Luckily, I was working from home, so I was able to accommodate if/when someone showed up. The workers themselves were also struggling with the lack of any organized oversight, as they would be told to show up and work specific items, but arrive to find much more needed to be done, or other tasks needed to be done first, or were done incorrectly by the prior worker. I was probably most surprised at the lack of basic clean lines - be it grout or caulk. That always seemed to be a task that was not on anyone's list to address. It was rushed at the end, and it shows. Not that I blame the worker who was left holding the bag (the workers were all great and very nice), but I hated to see something that should have been so simple to do over the 2 month project take away from the overall effect in the end. On the few occasions that the contractor came by, he was very friendly and had lots of great ideas, many that I said "yes, let's do that!". But none of them came to pass, I suspect, because the folks doing the work never got the word. When I would ask the contractor about them he would claim it was never discussed, or that I never agreed to it, and the fallback was always "it's not in the contract". Texts also apparently do not count as discussions, so if you hire this contractor and he starts offering ideas after the original contract is signed, you will want to carry the contract and a pen to get him to initial and sign off on any additional work, or be ok that they are good ideas that will not be done. And lastly, when we were close to the end of the project, the contractor started insisting that I make the final payment before the work was finished. He started ranting about what a deal he gave me, and he had a payroll to keep up, and my project was taking too long (I will take responsibility for a week delay for when my vanity was lost in shipping. But I caused no other delay that I am aware of that made this estimated 14-20 day project take 2 months. I feel that was more because of the working 2 days a week thing.) I made all of my payments in a timely fashion, so I was stunned when he started harassing me with multiple texts and emails for the final payment before the work was complete. So, I see some great reviews, but this was the experience I had with this contractor. read more
