Yes the wait time might be a bit longer but that happens when you have medical providers doing the documentation,visitation, wroting your prescription, calling it to YOUR pharmac, etc. You'd spend no less time at a hospital for worse care and doctors to not even understand your illnesses than you would this fantastic urgent care. read more

They ask for a card at check in to be on file and say it will not be charged. They later charged my card for $60 without my permission. I was in and out of the office in 20 minutes. I ended up having to go to another doctor elsewhere to resolve my health concern. I do not recommend this office and I hope I get my money back. read more

AFC is great! They actually treated me and did X-rays breathing treatment shot of steroids. They were very nice and actually listened to me. I was at American Family Care today with my son who was experiencing a severe stomach ache and vomiting. We got there and he immediately went into rest room , he said his extremities were tingling so they came in and brought him to the back in a wheel chair, he got in the bed writhing in pain and the "Dr" asked what was going on, my son whose pain is so intense he can't talk, I explain. She said his vitals were ok and she will get him a Zofran injection and she leaves the room. Less than a minute later the male nurse that wheeled my son came in with 2 Zofran tablets and told him to put under the tongue. 2 minutes later the"Dr " come in and says she will give him a Zofran injection, when I told her he was just given the disolvables she stated that was a mistake and he needed the injection. Ok so hear me out, I know it's only Zofran but can you imagine the lack of communication at a drs office could have led to a much worst case scenario. Least to say I made quite a scene and when I left I let the people in the waiting room know the grossly incompetent mistake that was made by the staff at this office ... this should be investigated. read more

Small, clean clinic. I didn't wait long in the waiting room but once I got back into a room it was an hour before I saw the doctor. She was very nice. We addressed my issue, then had a conversation about a bacterial infection my husband recently had treated and I asked about the chances of us passing it back and forth. She said it's unlikely. She left the room and I waited for my discharge paperwork. She came back in with an article about it actually being a bacteria that can be passed between us. She said they could do a blood test (although not the most reliable test) and if it was negative she would still refer me out for the test they don't have. Honestly, the wait was miserable, but I am so impressed that she came back in to tell me that she was incorrect about this bacterias transmission. read more

I went to the Pace location for a broken foot. All the people who came in AFTER me were attended to first. I was there over 2 hours in horrible pain & had an X-ray done. was told it would be $175 for a doctor visit & x-Ray. Finally saw 2 girls, one maybe a nice medical assistant named Stephanie & a front office assistant. Steph was impressed by the photos of my foot & wanted to show others in the office. At first they gave me the wrong sized boot & then had trouble putting on the correct sized one. Steph said she'd refer me to an orthopedic doctor. I never saw a doctor, never got a diagnosis or the results of the x-ray. I left without a discharge sheet or instructions for follow up. No referral was made. The next day they called & said the x-ray showed no results. They couldn't tell me what that meant. Then they text me I owe them $159 more. My response was for what? For a $39 boot from Walmart? If this clinic is going to offer rapid Covid tests they need to reevaluate how they are doing it. We went before they opened and stood in a line of about 40 people. They only have a limited amount of tests each day and people start lining up early. We got there at 7:45 and was given an appointment time for 1 pm. Totally doable, right? We came back a quarter till 1 and registered. At 3:30 we were still waiting. So if you desperately need a rapid test take a meal or snacks with you, a phone charger, etc. if you are sick and miserable then I would recommend not attempting it. I took 3 of my 4 children to AFC on Saturday. They all had strep which was confirmed by swab. The doctor took what I had to say as true which felt great since some don't believe what the parents say. The doctor was amazing and very gentle with my children. The nurse was also great! read more

AFC is closer to my house and cheaper than the ER with my insurance. I had a regular doctor but she left the area and I have not yet found a new one. AFC is always a quick and easy place to go when an issue is more urgent or quick than a regular visit to the doctor, but not serious enough to spend several hours at the ER. The doctors are always super friendly and the rest of the staff is great. Every member of my household has used AFC at least once from burns, to pinkeye, to a severely sprained ankle, and we always leave with an answer. They offer some lab services and x-rays as well. I went after nearly breaking my ankle and left with a splint and crutches without having to go anywhere else. It was as easy and painless (heh) as it could have possibly been. read more

We got here at 12:30 and were told the wait would be 2-3 hours , as there were 3 full pages of people waiting ahead of us. It ended up being 6 hours. I called around and found two urgent cares with no wait in Pace.. (my son was growing restless, waiting all day) we ended up leaving and going to Ascension, walked in, and was seen immediately.. no wait at all .. one person in the waiting room. I'm not sure what the deal is with AFC or why everyone and their mama in Pace is going there but the other urgent cares are empty. At AFC you are supposed to wait in your car , and they'll call you when they're ready for you .. they didn't end up calling until after we left the other urgent care and had already been seen. 10/10 would not recommend going here unless you absolutely have to. read more

No one called her, so she called them and set up a 1 p.m. appointment. Arriving at the clinic at 1255 and registering just a few minutes after 1, the wait began. They bill as a primary care provider so you are going to be paying way more than the deductible listed on your insurance card. That quack wants me to come back in on the 16th for them to retest me because she sure I have covid because I have all the symptoms of covid even though I tested negative at home and in that office. I needed a follow up for a negative covid test. Arrived at 8:57 a.m., was told to sign in, leave my phone number and wait in my car and they would call me in a few minutes to get registered. Still waiting to get registered after 10 a.m. Tried to call to see how much longer the wait to register would be but couldn't get an answer. Left and went to Pro Health a few miles away. My daughter had a bad flu and it was the weekend. I took her to this facility and my first impression was that it was a nice clean office. The wait wasn't bad for being a new patient (having to get our info). When we got to the back the nurse (Michelle) and doctor Edwards were so good with my 6 year old. They took an urinalysis and found she had a bad UTI and was dehydrated, they sent us to the ER because they don't administer the IV for kids. The next day Michelle followed up to make sure my daughter was okay, I have never had an urgent care do that, it was very sweet. I highly recommend them. read more

My daughter came in with croop. Because she tested negative for flu, strep, and RSV (she had it for 24 hours when I brought her in), I was sent home with nothing after paying $200. I was told if humidifiers and nasal medicine didn't help after a week, let them know. After a couple days, she wasn't getting better, so I called to see if they could call in any medicine at all because we just moved here and cant get a primary until Feb. I told them her doctor would always call in prednisone and allergy meds to knock it out and they said there's nothing they can do except charge me to retest her, but they wouldn't prescribe anything if she was still negative.. Now I have to pray I can find SOMEWHERE to see my daughter, pay more money we don't have and hope to God they'll give her something to help. I've been to many urgent cares that have prescribed medicine to my children over the years and I've never heard "we don't prescribe medicine because we have so many walk ins and we don't know the patient." lol your patient is three and you're an urgent care, all you have is walk ins you dont know but okay. I went to AMC and experienced fast, friendly and exceptional care. The Dr was a little slow to show in the exam room but when he came he spent a great deal of time with me to determine my needs. While I waited the staff checked on me to let me know the progress and if they could get anything for me while I waited. I do believe they cared! I will always go there for my urgent health care needs! They do need a better large sized BP cuff though....the one they have hurts like crazy and always shows my BP elevated! I give it two stars because the doctors are really down to earth, the same with the nurses.
