After several unexpected surgeries over the past few years, I'm truly a klutz and was looking for some guidance and refinement as I'm back into a regular fitness routine. You book your first appointment through Mindbody, I was able to find a Saturday morning appointment due to my work schedule. When I came for my visit Dr. Erik was very friendly, I completed new patient forms, health history and medicines. Then Erik took the time to listen to me for my concerns. He had me walk, squat, lunge to observe my function and then provided guidance on making some corrections, as several of the surgeries were in abdominal area resulting in that area being weak, so first priority is strengthening the area through breathing exercises, simple back and abdominal work - little moves, but you sure felt it. Then you moved to the studio area where he observed more moves and gave you corrective movements. Also my left knee has popped since I played soccer since I was a kid, he gave me a simple solution to help stop the popping since then just one subtle move has made quite a difference. After the visit he sent me links to videos to help me continue with my form & function. I was also able to schedule a future visit right there with Dr. Erik. Wow a few weeks after my visit, I can see the difference and looking forward to working with him to continue to improve my overall health and fitness.

His massage therapist has been with him a number of years, another great testament of a good Dr. to work with, and she does a marvelous job of working areas in need. I visited Dr. Coffman's office for a general exam before starting my adjustments. The exam took about an hour and included an x-ray of my spine and a scan of my back to highlight areas that were causing pain or pressure. As it turned out, I actually had a mild case of scoliosis that my pediatricians had neglected to notice or diagnosis me with at a younger age. Dr. Coffman insisted that this was causing my upper-back pain and possibly my migraines, so I signed on for twelve adjustments. I felt very awkward every time I went to this office for my adjustment appointments. First of all, all of the adjustment beds are in the waiting room so patients just lie down in front of each other to be adjusted. I would have felt much more at ease with the process had there at least been some kind of privacy. Each appointment only took ten minutes and they consisted of the doctor tapping the sides of my neck with a little hand-held contraption and then twisting my neck until it "popped." I can't even stand hearing knuckles crack, I felt nauseous every time I heard the "snap" noise. After my twelve paid for appointments were up I stopped visiting this chiropractor because I learned that there were other doctors in my area who didn't use the "popping" technique and who had private rooms. I didn't get any pain or headache relief from my twelve treatments, either. Dr. Coffman is nice, but not nice enough to warrant feeling uncomfortable.
