I had a history of lower back pain, so in late 2022, I went in for an intake appointment. This involved an initial chiropractic adjustment as well as an x-ray of my pelvis and lower back. Immediately after the adjustment, I had what I can only describe as severe muscle strain, including a bruised feeling in my bladder area. I knew going in that there were risks in chiropractic care and I was willing to move forward, but when I came in for my second appointment and shared that side effect with the doctor, he denied any possibility that his adjustment had anything to do with it. Perhaps he was afraid I would sue or something, but truly I just wanted to tell him so he would know for next time. His lack of professionalism in accepting that his adjustment -- the application of all his weight onto my lower back -- MIGHT have had something to do with some muscle strain in my pelvic area, made me feel that he was not trustworthy, and I ended the appointment then and there. When I initially came in I was quoted a price and paid it. For the second appointment, which was a 5 minute conversation, I paid my fee as well. Cut to January 1, 2024. I got a threatening text from Ripploh saying that I was past due on my payment. I wrote them to remind them of what happened and how I had a truncated appointment, and that my payment was reduced. They made a minor adjustment but still maintain that I owe money which doesn't make sense. In short, it's a scummy place and he's not a responsible "doctor." Go to Mt. Lookout Chiropractic instead. read more

This place is a joke. When I called to set up my appointment, they ran my insurance to ensure that I was covered. When I go in for my appointment, I spend an hour filling out forms and waiting to be seen and only after waiting an hour do they come out and tell me that my insurance isn't accepted and that I have to pay $240 out of pocket for x-rays that I didn't need and told them I didn't need in advance. They insisted on taking x-rays even after I explained that I had been seen by a top-tier sports medicine facility in Nashville that told me x-rays are not needed for my injury. This place will lie to you and charge you unnecessarily. Don't waste your time or money. read more

The chiropractors are very nice and the adjustment is great. However, I had about 7 appointments before I realized my insurance had not been billed once. Now they are ignoring my phone calls and still have not billed my insurance. They have made two obscene charges on my credit card since my last appointment and refuse to return any of my calls. Don't go there, whoever handles billing has no idea what she's doing. read more

I wish I had gone to Dr. Ripploh years ago. After only two adjustments the worst neck spasm I've ever experienced was almost pain free not to mention my posture already improved. It is truly such a friendly practice, Dr. Ripploh and Jenny are always warm and welcoming. Rippolah Chiropractic is incredibly flexible for someone working normal business hours and there is almost zero waiting so I am able to be in and out. Dr. Ripploh is thorough with his work-up and makes adjustments appropriately. The staff is able to accommodate walk-ins, which are appreciated due to busy schedules. Small office in Hyde Park plaza with just the chiropractor and his assistant/receptionist/billing associate etc. Both are super nice and patient. They do their best to explain everything about the diagnosis and the treatment. Dr. Ripploh is very professional and understanding. He seems like he truly wants to help you and not just take your money while he makes your bones crack. Very accommodating when it comes to scheduling visits and up front about payment plans and how much will your treatment cost. I don't write reviews much anymore. But after the incredible experience I had with Ripploh Chiropractic, I feel compelled to share. Like Jessie T., I also had been struggling with pretty significant pain due to scoliosis (mine was in my left lower back and hip). One little side note about scoliosis: You can and should live a totally normal, active, pain-free life with it. I did for almost 30 years, but a few years ago I got really careless with my back and stopped stretching and doing core-strenghtening exercises regularly. Dr. Ripploh put me on a pretty fast track which I was very happy about because I started noticing a difference after the first week of adjustments. After a month or so, he prescribed a series of stretches and exercises to do on my own while he slowly tapered me off the adjustments. Three months later I feel as good as new. It's hard to describe how I felt before,. It sort of felt as though the entire left side of my back was frozen or stuck. Frozen in some kind of flexed position where the muscles wouldn't relax which was greatly restricting the normal movement of my spine. Anyway, I am very happy to say that I am unstuck! I was experiencing neck and back pain for several months, and one of my friends recommended that I see Dr. Ripploh. I followed my friend's advice, and I'm very happy that I did. Admittedly, I had never been to a chiropractor before - so I didn't quite know what to expect - but I can say with confidence that Dr. Ripploh is a true professional. He was able to quickly diagnose my problem and offer a treatment plan. I noticed marked improvement in my condition after just one adjustment, and within two or three treatments, I was basically back to normal. Dr. Ripploh answered all of my new-patient questions clearly and efficiently, while also explaining some basic movements that I can do at home in case of flare-ups. I had been struggling on and off with scoliosis until this past summer when unbearable pain spread to my hip. I browsed different chiropractic offices in the area and gave Ripploh a try since it was nearby. Ever since then, my hip and back pain have been pretty much gone with the occasional needed visit. I also appreciated that he gave me exercises and stretches to do at home so that I could maintain it myself and prevent me from coming back too often; I knew then that he truly cared about my well-being and best interest. He gave a thorough examination via x-rays and gave me different options on how to go about treatment. I was also in a gap period with my insurance, and the charge/payment plan was very reasonable out of pocket. Jenny, the office assistant, is also amazing and they really do know how to take good care of you and your pain. The office is always clean, pleasant, and has a relaxing atmosphere. I had never been to a chiropractor before and now I don't why I've waited so long! I had some minor back pain but actually went in because I heard aligning can help with fertility. I was amazed how much my back cracked for the first several times I went! Now I'm tapering off because I can tell it's more aligned because Dr. Ripploh has helped. Dr. Ripploh runs a very professional practice in Hyde Park. I started seeing Ripploh for sciatic nerve discomfort. Within a few visits the pain had gone away and I felt much relief. Ripploh Chiropractic has had such a positively tremendous effect on my career as a professional musician. He did a great job explaining what he found in his assessment during my second visit. He presents multiple treatment plan options with thorough explanations and cost of treatment upfront. My neck and shoulders felt better within a few visits and I have continued to see Dr. Ripploh for other ailments. I have felt much better since seeing Dr. Ripploh. Dr. Ripploh is great! I first went to him the end of August because I was having frequent headaches that would last several days, and I had lower back pain once in a while. After 2 weeks I had very few headaches and my back was feeling much better. I stuck to the plan he had laid out for me from the beginning and I am now cleared and feeling so much better. I don't remember the last time I had a headache! I also do not get lower back pain anymore, especially when sitting at a desk and computer all day for work! I would recommend Dr. Ripploh to everyone!
