Things were easy to shop visually without having to dig through things. The building has one really large room with two corridors and there are smaller rooms on each end to explore. There were fans set up in many of the booths to help with airflow. Prices were great on some items and higher on other items but all in all I would say that this is a shoppable venue to visit. We had not been to this store before and it's not along a major thoroughfare so if you aren't actively searching for it, you would likely never know it's there. This place is truly a find! The owners/workers were nice and helpful. If you like well organized antique shops, this is a good place for you to visit.

As soon as I walked in I was met by the greeter, security, manager, and all around good boy Nash. Nash accompanied me around the store a bit before he got bored and went to take a nap. Good help is hard to find. G's is an antique mall made up of booths with individual vendors. If you find something you like you can just bring it up front and pay. They had a wide variety of inventory including furniture, home goods, clothing, books, and holiday decorations. There was even a saddle which is how you know you are in farm country. My favorite booth was the vintage kitchen with the vintage Pyrex I love. I found the prices on the Pyrex to be comparable to other stores I have shopped in Central Florida. G's does a great job decorating their windows for the holidays and right now it is Christmas themed. Arcadia burned down in a fire in 1905 so most of the buildings in the downtown were built after then. This three story building was built by two fraternal organizations, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) and the Woodmen of the World (WOW) in 1914. In subsequent years the building was the Gordon Hotel, the Southland Hotel, the Elks Club, and apartments. The first floor is now an antique store. Inside is a treasure trove of antiques. Room after room of household goods, furniture, bric-a-brac, art, jewelry, clothing, and all kinds of odds and ends. This store seemed to have more dolls than some of the others I visited. I am not knowledgeable about antiques so If I see something I like I check the prices on eBay. If you like antiques it is well worth the time to come to Arcadia especially on the fourth Sunday of the month when all of the shops set up tables outside.

My story: I downsized....then I downsized....then I downsized... I met a woman at one of my yard sales who was buying for this thrift store. So we (me and my friends / family at yard sale) filled up her van! That was a few months ago. Then 3 weeks ago I called the store and asked if they could pick up some things. They did - they showed up yesterday with a box van and I did a very good job of almost filling it up! The pick up men were incredibly sweet, nice, respectful and profusely thanked me for the donation. I told my 82 year old mother about it and she was beaming! I could have had another yard sale and maybe got some $ - but I feel much better about donating to them. They are doing an awesome job of helping others! They will continue to receive my donations as long as I live in Lake Wales!
