Two of the employees working at the Calhoun location were extremely helpful knowledgeable friendly and great at multitasking. They were answering the phone calls handling customers who were walking through the door doing the fingerprinting taking payments and answering questions all at the same time and while not appearing to lose their patience or giving short answers. I was extremely pleased with my visit and my interaction with Coy. He was extremely personable holding a conversation about the process I was going through asking me what steps I had completed and telling me what else I needed to do. Any other services that this company offers I will more than likely schedule with them. I am signing up to be a volunteer for my grandson Jude's & granddaughter Bella's school field trips. They attend Holy Cross. He is in the first grade. She is in Pre K 3. The application requires a criminal check. AIS was recommended as a place to go to for this. My daughter & I had appointments for 9:15 & 9:30 am. We arrived early. The staff gave us a friendly greeting & handed us ipads so we could fill them out. It was basic registration information. Our status to volunteer for the DC Archdiocese was confirmed upon entry. After completing the ipad my daughter was able to be taken back for her fingerprints right away. Payment is cash or credit. I paid with my credit card ($64.20). Less than 5 minutes later she was done & I was going back to the office . They sprayed my fingers to dampen them. My prints were imprinted on a small screen moving them back and forth. It was repeated more than once for a few fingers. Apparently some people wear their fingerprints down more than others if they work with their hands (like nurses and construction). I was given a receipt to show to the volunteer agency. I also received an email confirming the appointment & asking if I had any questions. Hopefully I will have the results by the time my training starts at the end of September. Saw lots of reviews prior to this company with less than stellar reviews but I came here on recommendation of a friend and I was happy with the experience. They have it down to a science, pardon the pun. You check in with your drivers license and take a brief check in on a device. They take your payment then shortly after you go in and they take you through the fingerprinting.. easy peasy. I don't expect bubbling Walt Disney customer service. Very quick and efficient. Made an appointment a few days in advance for a Saturday. There were two other women there at the same time and they got all 3 of us in and out of there super quickly. I was impressed. Very professional. All electronic. Extremely easy. Good location, quiet building on weekends... could park right out front. Check-in on a iPad type device. If you want a Maryland handgun qualifying license, you'll need fingerprints. These guys knock it out quickly and easily. Very reasonable price. You get what you need in about 15 minutes tops. Would have been 10 minutes if my fingers could have moved quicker on the iPad. read more

I found this place by doing a google search since I've worked in the government for nearly 10 years and always had an on-site office to have fingerprints taken. Since I recently accepted a new job and need to renew my background I didn't know where to go. I called police stations but they didn't provide the cards and I needed to call for availability on a certain day and time when the person was there. This place is professional, great service, very easy to schedule an appointment and not over priced. I walked out with my cards in about 10 minutes. Other customers had their fingerprints taken electronically so I am unaware of the efficiency of that. But I'd likely say there weren't any problems. Thank you for the excellent service! read more

This place is a well-oiled machine... made an appointment online, walked in with my form, typed stuff into an iPad, fingerprints scanned.... I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. For my new job I needed to get fingerprinted and was given a specific form to fill out. I tried to take it to a local place, Identigo, and they couldn't use the pre-written form I had, they actually had an outdated form. Thankfully AIS was able to use the form AND they printed out an extra form! The staff was friendly and efficient, it was a great experience. I highly recommend them! read more

Ridiculous if they would answer the phone I wouldn't have come all the way here. So I went there today to get fingerprinted and I gave them the employer code and paid $47.20. 3 hours later I applied at another agency and they also wanted fingerprints so I called to ask if I can provide them with the code to send them the results. 1) it took me calling exactly 13 times for someone to answer the phone 2) They tell me that even though I just did the fingerprinting I have to pay another $47.20 to do the same thing hours apart?????? What kind of BS is that??? I will never return there and will not be sending any customers to them No thanks, absolutely terrible. read more

I went in 29Oct2016 at 1245 at the Rockville location to have my fingerprints electronically filed and it was nothing short of a great experience. I went in to the office and was greeted by Zabrina with a great attitude and professionalism. A very warm and pleasant person, Zabrina took my information and entered it into their system and proceeded to scan my fingerprints. I wanted to be fingerprinted and obtain FBI background searches with both my maiden name and my married name but I was only visiting Maryland for a few weeks. I called ahead and asked whether I could be finger printed and have the reports done with my home address in New York but have them mailed to my daughter's address in Maryland. I explained that the reports must have my home address on them. They said no problem and the price is $70. I went to the Rockville, MD office and again explained the situation stating that the reports must have my New York address on them and that it would be convenient to have them mailed to my daughter's home in Maryland. Again, I was told the reports could have the New York address on them but be mailed to Maryland. I paid the $70.00. Roughly 10 days later I received the reports in the mail in Maryland but the reports had my daughter's Maryland address on them and not my New York address. I called the Rockville office and spoke to Joe. Joe said they would reorder the reports but they would have to charge me an additional $80. I said no way I ordered a specific product and you did not deliver. I am not going to repay for the very thing I originally ordered. Joe said there was obviously some communication problem and whether it was their fault or my fault it didn't matter I would have to pay $80. So as it stands I have been charged $70 for two useless reports. I would not use this company again. read more
